Going down in quality
Royalton used to be great place to stay. Current management is very non-customer oriented. Increasing in cost, decreasing in service. Breakfast buffet far fewer items now. Though minibar indicated as included in price, alas, no minibar. Have to beg for towels. At least the long-time staff members still friendly, albeit being restricted by current management in assisting the guests. I miss the old Royalton of even just three years ago.

Taxes collected by Hotels.com
I would like to call the attention of other customer to this. Please check on the taxes collected for the room. Hotels.com collected taxes for my room at a higher rate. The tax rate charged by hotels.com was at 18%. When I checked into the hotels I was told the government of India is charging a tax rate of 12% from the customers. When I asked the hotels to refund me my 6%, I was told that since I booked with hotels.com they cannot refund me my money. Hotels.com is responsible for this. The curtains were all of mold. We requested to be changed to another room. It was a struggle to get it done. The person at the counter basically said, "That's how everything is at this place, there is nothing we can do" Finally got to another room, the cover-sheet was full of rice, seems like someone ate on it. Finally someone came and replaced them with new ones. Stay away from this place, unless you are okay with mold and dirty walls and moldy curtains. Good luck if you are asthmatic!

I realy dont why its categorised as 4 stats hotel A lot of insects and mosquitoes Walls not clean with a lot of lines At my last day they moved to a smaller room saying they have reservations for big groups!! And they wanna compensate me wifh two hrs late check out on 2 pm !! I will never stay again or recommend to a friend When i checked in i asked the receptionist for upgrade if available or some extra amenities and he said sorry sir we need to follow up the reservation!! No bell boy at night yo help you with your luggage

Wonderful staff with mild manners. Nice place with positive attitude. Lot of good stores are nearby. Busy with traffic, but room are quite and comfortable. Food is average, but good restaurants are nearby. I would stay again.

I paid ahead of time to make sure it would be a comfortable 1 week stay but instead I walked into smoke soaked room, dirty sheets and allergies! Breakfast was not included and I had to pay extra for visiting guests also. All of it came as a surprise even after payin ahead of time. I will not recommend such cheap minded managers and hotel servers. Never again at this hotel.

Good stay with only one negative
Great staff who were very willing to help with whatever you needed. Breakfast each morning was good. Room was large and nicely furnished. The only negative of our stay was on our second night there was lots of very loud noise on the floor above us till 1-2am in the morning (we were on the 4th floor). This made it very difficult to sleep.

In the middle of crowdness
Hotel safe but did not meet my expectations as a 4* for me is a 3* hotel with nice breakfast. The room is big but don't expect for new furniture, is quite old. The worst part was the AC who was soooo loud and sometimes we heard noises from the laundry room who was next to our room, better not to stay at 103 room because won't be pleasant.

Privilege rooms we saw were small and had very dirty windows. It seemed this did not matter to the hotel staff. We got an upgrade and the facility was fine. The breakfast was okay. The restaurant across has good tasting food.

Satisfactory, with areas of improvement
The room was quite good and the breakfast buffet was excellent. There was loud music being played till 12 30 in the night, which is really unexpected and disappointing.The TV does not have most of the channels. The location is not very good with the tiny roads filled with traffic. It is in the city center though, so good for travel. The service was satisfactory

It was not so good for following reasons 1) I had to sort out booking problems on X-Mas night while actually I should have been enjoying. 2) Hotel's Reservation staff was not very co-operative. Mr. Manoj was good but other than that, I had to fight for my rooms 3) While I paid for Privilege Room, I was given standard Room for One day and that After Fighting I was given Privilege Room. 4) Had to fight for my privileges and was given on last day's night. 5) Only Good Part : Mr. Kalyan Restaurant guy was good,

Hotel was old. A/c was not working
We were very unhappy. The room was noisy from the worker cleaning at 3 am after the wedding party. Guest were talking on the entrance and lift lobby at 3 am. Even when told to reception nothing could be done. 3 nights in a row the noise from cleaning the ball room affected our sleep. Bath room glass door was damaged. There were cockroaches everywhere .

Economic choice in Hyderabad

Good hotel for a reasonable price...
We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. It seemed very few people had heard of this hotel. The check-in process was fairly quick. The complimentary breakfast each morning was really good. Some things that need improvements are bath towels (not enough and appeared to be really worn out)and room service (several items on their menu were not available).

Clean, nice, comfortable rooms in the heart of Hyd
Awesome rooms, very comfortable. Highly recommended for business and leisure travelers. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Booked it when it was Mercure managed but found no service problem under Royalton. The glass door separating the wet and dry areas had gaps leading to wetting of the entire bathroom - this was provided as feedback to the receptive front desk. Hopefully, they will act on it.

Great stay
Everything excellent. Shower doors not cleaned properly. The room boy tried very hard with the materials supplied to him. They need guidance on how to properly do this and the cleansers needed for that. Beside that, everything was great. The breakfast buffet each morning was tremendous with several different items each day. Sadly, they were very rigid about early check in and check out, even though I have stayed there several times before. Most hotels of this class show some flexibility, especially to repeat customers. All staff super friendly and very responsive. Good value for the money. Was concerned about the recent change of ownership (used to be Mercure) of this property. But everything being well maintained thus far. Will use again.
