Room was clean and bed was comfortable, AC good-important factors. Have stayed at the place off and on for 3 decades and looked poor this time- the lobby furniture and fixtures must be the originals-super worn and dirty looking, Walls, carpets and windows unclean. Sad to see it…

Only could get a room upstairs. Bedside light did not work properly. No hot breakfast as said all out of food at 8. Room not freshened second day of stay, nor informed of this. Smoke in non-smoking room. Stayed here before and enjoyed the stay but will not stay again.

Quiet and clean place to stay. Only complaint I had was that it took them a long time to have the parking lot plowed after a storm making it very difficult to come in and out of.

Affordable and convenient from the KS State Fairgrounds. Didn't do the breakfast--we left before 5 a.m. Nothing flashy, but definitely was what we wanted. Good bathroom & shower (🙌), and spacious for three of us--we got a double queen room.

Not a bad place to stay for the price.
It was good place to stay for a couple of days. The Super 8 was upgrading their rooms with new mattresses when we stayed. When my and I arrived for our stay their were mattresses stacked in the lobby area, outside underneath the awning and by one of the entrance/exit doors. There was some other boxes stacked underneath the awning too. It appeared the hotel was completing some renovations. The male who checked me in told me we had a new mattress in our room. He was very friendly. This was the only time I interacted with the staff. We got a king sized bed. Our room was good. It appeared it had recevied some upgrades. It looked like the flooring had been replaced and the bathroom had a new toilet, new flooring, new bathroom light, and a new sink faucet. Things that I didn't like about the place: The vents in our heating/AC unit were broken and I could see inside the unit. It was dirty. The chair next to the bed had black stains on the arms of the chair. The ceiling vent in the bathroom was dirty inside the vent and the bathroom exhaust fan did not work. My wife said the breakfast was not good. There was not very much to select from.. Two choices of cereal and one waffle maker. There were sevaral places to eat close by. There was a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins that you could walk to within a minute and it was on the same side of the street as the hotel. I forgot to notify the front desk about the issues I had with our room so that is my fault.

Pleasant Stay
First, based on other reviews I read when I booked, I want to say manage your expectations. This is a Super 8, not the Ritz. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Check-in was easy, staff were friendly and helpful. We felt safe, location was good and easily accessible to restaurants and activities we were interested in. Breakfast was standard continental fare. Coffee was good. Room and bed was comfortable, although our non-smoking room smelled of smoke and there were cigarette burns on the bedspread. We opened the window and let in some fresh air.

Ice machine out.
The hotel was ok nothing super high end it worked for what i was there for which was a funeral. The problem with the hotel was the wifi would connect for a minute and then drop off. And then the ice machine was not working. Which made it difficult when packing and wanting cold drinks.

The room I booked online is not what I was given. Went back to the front desk to let them know that the lady told me that it is a mistake online and they are trying to correct it. (king w/ pull out couch) I ask what else she could do because that would not sleep 4 of us. Her reply was Nothing... I again told her it was not my fault the it was wrong. About this time the guy came up and got us a room that accommodated the 4 of us. The lady was just kind of rude for no real reason.

Needs cleaning and upkeep.
The first room the bathroom was flooded. The next room, the bathroom door would not open all the way you had to slip around it to get in. The wall was broken away by the floor in the bathroom and mold was growing. The top of the shower was covered in dust and dirt. The bed was comfortable.

The phone did not work, the AC did not work, the AC filter was disgusting, the entire floor smelled like cigarette smoke, the bathroom faucet wasn’t secured, when you tried to call the front desk no one answered. There was a 1.5 inch gap at the bottom of the door.

Hello Cassie, I am very sorry that you smelled smoke - of any kind - at our property. We do our best to ensure that smokers do not smoke in our nonsmoking rooms or common areas, both of which result in a bad musty smell; and when a situation like this occurs, we try to address it immediately, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting to restore the clean smell of our accommodations. Guest satisfaction is top priority at our hotel; for that reason, we truly appreciate your feedback about the guest experience at the hotel. We do not allow smoking in common areas at all and we will be implementing stricter measures in the future. Thank you.

Wish I could submit pictures…found a brown recluse in our room! Then we used vending machine and a snack got stuck and the man there to help didn’t speak English and was FaceTiming someone while trying to help and wanted us to put money in to vend more of the same item to push it out….

Not worth the value
Not prepared for breakfast and didn’t have enough for number of hotel guests staying there. Water pouring out of one room soaked the carpet in the hallway and there were pieces of drop ceiling everywhere. Only time I saw a front desk attendant was at check in.
