The room and bathroom lighting were substandard. Bathroom towel set was rust stained. Shower door was off the track. Their deck was nice as it had a view of the beach/ocean. In addition, it's across the street from Huntington Beach. The Surf Inn is retro 1950s.

Very close to the beach, Huntington pier, pubs, restaurants and shops. Great location for exploring Huntington beach! Its next to the main road, so you can hear some noise from the main street - we didnt mind, but just to mention. Parking is under the appartments and when you can drive and park, its absolutely ok :).

Its a no-frills well-located for walking to the pier, shopping, bars, and restaurants kind of place. It had some cute touches in terms of surfer style and staff was helpful. It was quiet and clean and safe so if you dont want to spend alot at the bigger hotels nearby, this is your place! Cute little rooftop area to lounge and watch sunset.

Eclectic hotel. A bit dated but exceptionallyy clean. Free parking and walking disrance to the pier, restaurants and shopping. Could use more lighting in the room and bathroom.

Forced to move
I booked for three nights. I unpacked thinking about rest, relaxation, and a break from life in Seattle only to be told after I made sunny Room 1 my brief home away from home to pack up and move to room 8 the next morning as if that’s what a vacation should be about. I packed up, left, the room, and yes I was satisfied with darkroom 8 totally in the shadows of the office. Indeed the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. I have no complaints on that score, nor anything about its central location. Ownership apologized, but something extra should have been done. For $200 a night I deserved better. The photo here was what I was forced to move from!

Jeffrey,I am sorry that you had to move. You reserved Room 8 and was accidentally given Room 1, which was reserved by someone else. We could not let you stay in Room 1 when someone else reserved it and you actually reserved Room 8. We did move all of your belongings for you while you were out exploring the town. I am sorry that the room you reserved didn't get sun, but while you were here, no rooms got sun, not even Room 1. It was raining and cloudy.

Location, location
Not fancy but spotlessly clean, lovely staff and amazing location. PCH is noisy but was quiet enough at night to slept. Would stay again

Great stay with character!
Love staying here! So many little details that made the stay wonderful: beach chairs, towels, and umbrella in each room, and the comfy deck for reading or socializing with an ocean view. Best of all, covered parking and everything within walking distance. Kim was thoughtful and helped us with a smooth check in that worked perfectly within our plans. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
Cute deck - you can see ocean in the background. Great space to watch the sun set.

Fun Hotel, Amazing Location, Fantastic Service
Very fun, funky decor! Spacious room, great price, amazing location, fantastic service!! They checked in with me the morning of my trip and made sure I was all set for my after hours arrival. Kim was super friendly and helpful!

Never Again
What a nightmare. Garbage under the bed; hair in the sink; Aleve pills on the carpet; spilled cereal in the fridge; uncleaned liquid spill on night stand; broken zip tie on the pillow. OLD motel; one window; no balconies. No coffee maker in room and no breakfast. Was so freaked-out by the conditions, I left 2 days early. To be fair, the lady to whom I complained was extremely kind and very understanding. She refunded me the 2 nights. Went - literally - right across the street and got a beautifully clean, 2nd story room with a large balcony that faced the ocean for the exact same price. Never again.

Very cool little Motel across from the beach. Had little extras like beach towels, chairs, & umbrella. Great location. Don’t expect a 5- star hotel but everything you need with Beach across the street with 5 minute walk to the pier. Great Location!!!

This is a small Inn but very loved by the owners. You can tell they take pride in their Inn. It is beautiful and comfortable.

This is a true diamond in the rough..fantastic property that gives you the old school charm of a beach motel/hotel! It was so refreshing to be valued as a customer and the communication was amazing. I was called that morning to verify a check in time and they were gracious enough to offer early check in if I needed it. won’t always happen but was a pleasant surprise. great balcony to watch the sunset and the location is obviously perfect. walking distance to everything and after being gone from HB for a year, it made me feel like I was home again. Thank you for the stay and we’ll be back!

Huntington Beach trip
This small hotel was just perfect for my stay with my family. Each room is tastefully decorated and area was perfect for getting to beach which was across the street. Upper deck was perfect for watching the sunset. Convenient to everything and very walkable.

Exactly what we wanted. Perfect if you’re going to the beach and out at night. Good beach, restaurants, bars, shopping within minutes of walking. No bells and whistles, but clean and just what we wanted. Great deck to chill and watch the ocean too.

All about the view
It's all about the view from your window! On PCH right across from the beach, 2 blocks from the pier and downtown. Basic room, no coffee in the room. They provide beach towels and some kid toys for the beach. Comfortable bed. All 6 rooms are up the stairs. Front desk staff seem to be there 24/7 and very helpful. Parking free right under the rooms. We had no trouble finding a spot. I'd say if you're here for the beach and location the hotel is perfect. If you want a fancy hotel this one isn't it.

I absolutely loved this property. From the first text message from Kim asking what time our estimated arrival time was, it was a great experience. We were messaging back and forth and in person, when we checked in she was so welcoming. We were able to watch the sunset from the patio right outside our room. We will definitely be staying here again.

Reasonably Priced Hotel in an Excellent Location.

Great location, walking distance from Huntington Beach main St. Staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. Only complaint is if you're handicap there's no elevators and the rooms are located upstairs. Other than that I would go back Highly recommended!!!
