This house was ideal for our 3-generation family! The outdoor space was lovely, the house was clean, and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Maria is a wonderful host and very responsive. We had intended to take a number of day trips from the house, but the proximity to the wonderful beach, which we almost always had to ourselves, kept us very local for our whole visit. We would love to return sometime. The only caution for future guests is the fact that there is no internet connection or cell service at the house. Depending on your carrier, you may have cell service at the beach. Also, we are a family that cooks, and there is no oven. We did fine with the stovetop and the outdoor grill. These small inconveniences would not keep us from booking here again. It was a wonderful stay!

Our 1 week stay at Maria's place was wonderful. The weather was perfect; house was as described on the website. Very clean, less than one minute to a great beach that was never crowded. My family enjoyed many days relaxing and swimming. The house had plenty of room for 6 people and was very well stocked for all our needs. Maria the host was great, she was very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. The house also had plenty of beach gear, which was awesome as we packed light and didn't bring anything. The property was just less than an hour from SJU airport and about that same time if you plan to visit Old San Juan. We had a great stay! Thank you!

We had the best time staying here! Maria was so lovely and responsive to every need. Our travel plans got delayed and she checked in on us, offering support and help. The house was perfect for our family, comfortable beds, nice air conditioning in each room. Well stocked with beach supplies and so close to the beautiful private beach. If we ever go back to Puerto Rico I would stay here for sure!

This house has everything a family need. The kitchen is fully equipped. The host even left local beers for us to enjoy. We are not beer drinker so we didn't drink that but that was really thoughtful.Plenty of towels, toiletries, even have beach chairs and wakeboard, and EVERYTHING you may need!During my stay, the wifi was down, the host,Maria, did warn me about that before our arrivals. So we were not able to surf net at home. And be informed, the cell signal/phone data will NOT work in the house. We had to go to the beach and other places to surf net. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. Overall, we enjoyed the stay very much.

Our stay from August 10th to the 17th was absolutely flawless, and we couldn't have asked for a better home base for our vacation in Puerto Rico. The host, Maria, is incredibly thoughtful and has anticipated every possible need a guest could have.From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The house was stocked with ample bedding, a full tank of gas for the barbecue, and a wonderful array of beach supplies that made our trips to the shore effortless. The kitchen was fully equipped and ready for us to use, which was a fantastic convenience. The space itself is absolutely lovely, with charming rocking chairs on the front porch for morning coffee and comfortable patio chairs in the back for relaxing in the evening.The location is truly ideal. Being just a few steps from the beach was a dream, and the house is perfectly situated within driving distance of the El Yunque rainforest. This house was the perfect base for all our adventures. We cannot recommend this property highly enough and are already dreaming of our next visit!

Great location!

Our party of 7 was very comfortable in this home. Although we had trouble finding the place due to a wrong address listed on VRBO the host was extremely responsive and helpful in the check in process. There were many wonderful details and items provided that made us feel at home (I.e. beach essentials, kitchen spices, coffee, ice, etc..). The nearby restaurants, within walking distance, were fantastic!! There was a great brunch spot and the dinner restaurant in the same strip even made us a special traditional dish upon request! Overall, great stay!! The only thing to note is that our cell services (3 diff carriers) and the WiFi in the home were awful. This is the main reason for the 4 star review. The WiFi modem could use updating.

Fantastic Family Vacation

The property was beautiful and spacious for my family! The home had everything we needed for a wonderful family stay! The Vrbo, had everything we needed for a fun beach experience! The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet neighbors were friendly when we were around. A one minute walk to the beach if not less! The Humacao Nature Reserve down the street was a really cool visit we got to see multiple iguana’s, crabs, tons of lizards and turtles and the historical bunker’s were cool to see!

Beachside retreat

Maria is a fantastic host, she walked me through my everything from ensuring I gained access to the community and even remained on the phone with me while I walked through her home and ensured I was satisfied with everything. She even gave me a mid-week check in to ensure all was well. The home was clean, spacious and was perfect for my needs. I really enjoyed siting in the backyard and enjoying coffee with my Mom. The beach was a short 2 min walk and there was nearby food and bar locations within a short drive. There was also a shopping center a less than 10 min away. If your looking for a location outside of the main touristic areas but that still has an urban vibe then this is it. Thank you Maria!!

Murray Vacation 2025

The house was exactly as seen on Vrbo.Right next to the beach. Quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors. Loved that there were beach supplies and a washer/dryer onsite.A/C works great.Humacao is a great place to visit and this house allows you to be on a much different part of the Island. Would definitely visit againCouple items tomention for the next guest:• Fans on the outside porch didnt work even though we replaced the batteries.• While we were given the acces code for the house the Front entrance gate key should be mentioned to all guests as it could be perceived as the garage door opener.

Vacation like a local!

This property and owner are simply fantastic! An easy 1 hour drive from the airport, and you are in the quaint gated community, with your own private beach and far from other tourists. The house is nice and clean, with plenty of room to spread out. There are 4 restaurants an easy 5 minute walk away that you can safely walk to for dinner and drinks in the evening. The family meals are great deals and can easily feed 6. The beach will be all yours and there are nature reserve trails to explore right off the beach. Easy 1hr 15 min drive to El Mar Chicita beach (you must go if in PR), the bio bays, rain forest, etc. Maria responds immediately and her helpers are around if you need anything. We have stayed in San Juan before, and this was a much better experience, and so much more affordable for 2 families traveling together. Thanks Maria!lots of beach gear, Washer/dryer, lots of supplies.

Beautiful stay

This was a very low-key relaxing place to stay. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors are friendly. The beach is only a two minute walk from the house. There is a lot of local food and activity within a couple miles of the house. The house is very comfortable and clean. Maria is fantastic, and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Great Property for a Family Vacation!

We had a great experience with this property; the house is spacious with access controlled; it worked for us as the whole family traveled together. Location is great as it is near the beach and the local town Humacao. Maria was our host and the communication was great from beginning to end. I would definitely keep the property in mind for a future family vacation.

Lovely stay

House was clean and great location, just a short walk to the beach. We swam every day at the beach, enjoyed hiking the nature preserve, having coffee on the front porch, friendly people in the neighborhood. Beds were comfortable, AC was good, fans all around the house too. Kitchen is small but workable, we do recommend keeping all your food in the refrigerator as we did after finding teeny ants on the counter on our second day. House is quiet and Maria was a very responsive host. Easy drive to the Ceiba Ferry to visit the islands and less than an hour from San Juan. Thank you for hosting us!

The perfect place!

When we arrived at Maria's, we had just finished one of the WORST travel days ever (it even included an earthquake). We were 12 hours late and when we opened the door, it felt like we were home. Not only was the house immaculate, but it was inviting and comfortable. After a great night's sleep, we discovered the beautiful little beach right at the end of the street. We met a couple of the neighbors and felt welcomed right away. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient. Best of all, the house was exactly as described or even a little nicer, and Maria was easy to communicate with. We definitely would like to come back to Puerto Rico, and when we do, we hope we can stay at Maria's.

Amazing gem!

We had an amazing time in Humacao at Maria’s place! It was steps to the beach, nature preserve, and close to town with stores (grocery and Walmart which is always handy on vacation). Maria was hands down the most responsive and kindest host we have ever had at any vacation stay. As rental hosts ourselves, we can be pretty picky but Maria was great! The house was perfect for us - 2 parents, 2 5yo, and 2 grandparents. The neighbors were so so kind. We even got to see a sea turtle nest on the beach! The outdoor dining area was used every single night. We did day trips to the rainforest and Luquillo, which were all very fun. Humacao was devastated by the hurricane and it was sad to see the unrepaired damage but also felt so good to be in the community and support through tourism that directly supports local folks and recovery efforts. Humacao is truly a forgotten gem and we will definitely book with Maria again!

VACATIONS

My family (3 people) have spent four nights in this place nice place. The house is clean and can accomodate 6 people. The beach is 3 minutes of walk from the house, with no people. There are plenty of restaurants arround, where you can enjoy Puerto Rican food. I wish we planed more time to stay here.

Comfortable Home, Great Location

This was a comfortable home well supplied with all needs including beach gear. The house is a block from a nice beach and with great walking in a nature preserve next door. The driving in Puerto Rico can be challenging, so we enjoyed having the beach and hiking right there. We did drive to other beaches and San Juan for excursions.

2-3 minute walk to beach

The home is very big the master bathroom is like the size of a bedroom. All the bathrooms were nice my mom who is 82 walk right on down to the beach and got in Nice gated community and neighbors treated you like you live there very friendly and quiet. I will definitely be back.
