«The staff are the most friendly people, and you can see all sorts of incredible wild life right from the restaurant and patio. We saw hawks, pelicans, turtles, a crocodile! We missed dolphins one morning apparently but yeah, it was absolute paradise and the staff were the best part. »

«The local host Denier was more than accommodating, I would return because of his management skills, you can tell he likes to run a happy and friendly, secure hotel. Excellent service, great food. The place is clean, quiet, right by the Gulf with a dock and a pool. At the moment The restaurant was closed but we did have the included breakfast. «Playa Cativo Lodge is a wonderful place and the accommodations, food and staff were absolutely perfect. It was nice to be so close to the gulf which was calm, warm, sandy and perfect for swimming. My only complaint was that the entire front area of the lodge has been landscaped with grass and ornamental plants, many of which are not native. Because of this large open area few birds or animals come near the lodge. Bird watching was disappointing compared to lodges that have left the rainforest ...
