Our luxurious beachfront villa is the ideal place to relax and get away from it all! Built for the sophisticated traveler, you could spend your days relaxing on a lovely private beach with a pool and dock, or opt for adventures that range from world-class scuba diving to exploring Mayan ruins to tubing through underground rivers to making chocolate from cacao beans or one of the many other exciting activities Belize has to offer. Why not stay long enough to do several?

Villa Bella Vista is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2-story vacation home that has all the amenities you would expect from a 5-Star resort such as beautiful and locally crafted furniture, granite countertops, mahogany cabinetry and woodwork, full-sized washer/dryer, Smart TV's and wireless internet. This villa is beautifully decorated and features a collection of handpicked artwork created by local artists throughout the property, adding a warm and welcoming touch to every space.

On the main level, you will find a fully stocked kitchen with a wine cooler, laundry room, large family room with Smart TV, and a master bedroom suite with a king bed and glass sliding doors to the covered patio and ocean views. Step outside onto the large patio with seating, perfect for observing the sunrise over the Caribbean Sea and enjoying your morning coffee or tea.

Upstairs is the kitchenette, family room with Smart TV, bathroom with shower, and two bedrooms - each with queen beds. These bedrooms, as well as the family room, have sliding glass doors to the upper covered patio and magnificent views of the ocean and outer cayes. Enjoy outdoor seating on this large balcony overlooking the sea for a stunning sunrise experience or sip a cocktail before dinner. There is a second balcony on the opposite side of the villa with beautiful forest views for sunset.

Outside, you will find a salt water pool, outdoor shower, palapa bar, a private beach, and a dock with seating and a hammock so you can enjoy the ocean breezes day or night. The dock also has a platform for easy pick-up and drop-off from marine excursions.

Lay on the beach or in the double hammock on the dock. Snorkel in the ocean (gear provided), take out the kayaks (also provided), or just dip in the pool as you work on your tan. Our concierge service can arrange to have basic food and alcohol ready and waiting upon your arrival for a small fee or help you arrange for a private chef for those special evenings. This is a home you may never want to leave!

SPECIAL BONUS: We have purchased a six-person golf cart that is included FREE with your rental! What a fun way to explore the village at a slower pace and enjoy the locals!

We loved this house! It's large, roomy, beautifully decorated, and well laid out with the main bedroom on the 1st floor. The beds are very comfortable, and the A/C works well for those hot days! The back area is so peaceful, whether you want to sit out on the deck, the porch, or the dock. The golf cart is really handy for getting into town to check out the restaurants and shops, and the owner made it easy to figure out where to go with great recommendations in the guest book. Based on what I saw, this is definitely one of the nicest rental spaces available in Hopkins, and the owner is very responsive to any questions about the property or the area. From Hopkins as a home base, we were able to go snorkeling, visit Bocawina for ziplining and hiking to a waterfall, visit the Altun Ha site, go cave tubing, go to the Belize Zoo...and had plans to do the Cockscomb waterfall hike but couldn't because of the rain. If you're looking to do any of these activities (and so many more!), they are accessible to you from this place. When you want down time or family time, the kitchen is well stocked for making your own meals, and there are a variety of card decks, games, and books to peruse. Thank you to our host for having this gorgeous place for us to relax in!

Week in paradise!

This was our second time staying at this great property. As before, it never let us down. The house is amazing, the kitchen is of great design and wonderful for serving meals. We made stewed chicken, the national dish of Belize and everyone loved it. The pier is fantastic to hang out on and swim from and then there is the pool area for a relaxing time. It is close to Bocawina where we hiked through the rain forest one day and zip lined another. It is also close to Sub Umbra Floreo chocolate farm which was an amazing and informative tour. And, of course, don't forget about the ocean. What a place to wake up everyday and see that amazing view. Highly recommend staying here. -Arne

Really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa by the Sea! Our family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out (the teenager thought it was really cool to have his own kitchen and bathroom upstairs). The dock was amazing, and the pool was just perfect for dipping off. The host was super helpful and responsive. I would recommend a golf cart! It really made going into town more enjoyable, being in an open-air environment. We used GetToKnowBelize for a few adventures (ATM cave, snorkel, and fishing), recommended by the host, and they were great!

Beautiful vacation home

We had a wonderful time in Hopkins at this spacious beach house. The location is absolutely beautiful with an amazing dock and beautiful outdoor living. House has everything you could need- exactly as described. Short 5 minute golf cart ride to the marina with a restaurant and town/resorts 5 minutes in the other direction.

Beautiful property

This home and property are beautiful. However, the house requires some minor repairs (some sliders damaged, screen on the main slider torn, TV remote didn’t work). We were disappointed that there was no beach to walk and the water was murky and had lots of sea grass so not suitable for snorkeling. 4 adults had to space their showers or run out of water. The village of Hopkins has some good beach bars, but the best restaurants are in the resorts. The Hamanasi Resort is close and is excellent. The Coconut Husk in the village is also a fun restaurant as is the restaurant nearby in Beeches and Dreams. The property manager, Darwin, is a super guy and also a good local guide. He took us floating in St. Herman’s Cave and swimming in the Blue Hole. Tap into his local knowledge! The Hopkins area is interesting but fairly remote. If not staying in a resort we found diving and snorkeling opportunities limited.

A beautiful peaceful location!

We stayed with 3 adults and 3 kids and we had more than enough room. The location and setting of the house are just perfect! Gorgeous views of the water and incredibly easy access to swimming in the pool and sea. Hopkins is a great little village and there were plenty of options for restaurants.

Amazing house!

We had a great stay! Loved the pool, dock, and little beach. My kids learned how to open the coconuts and had a blast doing that every day. Perfect Family Getaway

We had the best family vacation in Hopkins, Belize. This house is beautifully appointed with plenty of space for everyone (5 of us total) to spread out and relax, including a well-equipped kitchen. It felt like a home away from home. The moment you walk out to the breathtaking backyard space, and continue all the way to the large covered dock over the waters, you know you've arrived in paradise. The only thing I would suggest is to add lights to the dock thatched roof, it was too dark at night to use. Sue and Darwin were super helpful and very easy to communicate with for any questions we had. We really enjoyed the two tours we did, ATV through the jungle and Cook your Catch with tour company GTKBA (Get to Know Belize Adventures). Hopkins is the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, and this beachfront house is a true gem.

Beautiful location, spacious home

We had a great week! The dock was perfect. The water was warm and easy to swim in. The place was cool and clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. We also loved the little private pool. Stann Creek is lovely. There are lots of nice places to eat and grocery stores nearby. It is not super touristy which is what we were looking for.

Awesome oceanfront house in beautiful Belize

The property is a beautiful perfectly maintained house right on the ocean with every amenity you could want. A standout was the dock and thatch roofed covered platform at the end of the dock where you could see water on all sides an awesome place to eat dinner, sun yourself or just relax. It was our first time to Belize and we loved it. We went scuba diving and snorkeling most of the time we were there and found the underwater beauty spectacular. We also went on a great hike in the nearby jungle water fall filled national park which was incredible. The little beach shack restaurants right on the sand are great. Darwin the caretaker was there whenever we needed him for advice and sue the owner was great.

Belize Bliss

This property is very well appointed and had everything we wanted or needed. It provided privacy for those who wanted it. A beautiful home with the amenities of a small pool, poolside side bar, dock, snorkeling equipment, kayaks, high quality beach furniture, and a golf cart made our stay the most enjoyable beach vacation we have ever had. A difficult place to say farewell to.

We thoroughly enjoyed this comfy home away from home. Darwin helped guide us a bit when asked, exploring Hopkins, making new friends and eating the food are the best highlights!! Hopkins with Friends

We had a fantastic time in Hopkins! The home and location are beautiful, spacious and accommodating, and provided my husband and I and our friends the perfect relaxing getaway. From the start, the property manager Darwin was exceptionally helpful. He was quick with responses and recommendations before and during our trip, and gave us a tour of the home and amenities that made our experience in Hopkins fun and easy to navigate. We enjoyed our inland excursions to the ATM Cave and various ruins and being picked up from the pier by boat to go snorkeling. Our experience was truly remarkable and we would highly recommend Villa by the Sea!

Clean and quiet

Located close to downtown Hopkins, but just far enough to escape the commotion. Nice, quiet home with plenty of amenities to keep you entertained. Pool is small, but oddly perfect. Hanging out under the cabana, watching the water, was so relaxing. It took me a day to realize the water at the end of the pier was only a few inches deep during low tide!

Beautiful home, amzaing view!

This was the most relaxed I've been in my life! The home is beautiful. We loved using both decks and the pool. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the views and the weather. The golf cart was great to get to town in, I think that the cart is going to be improved - GREAT BONUS. Everyone was friendly, Sue and Darwin was super easy to contact and were awesome help. The beds, sheets and pillows were amazing, and the AC in each room made us very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with great cooking utensils which made cooking at home easy (we didn't want to leave because the house, view and decks were amazing!) Great place to stay, Hopkins is an amazing place to visit.

Dream vacation

We had an amazing stay! It was especially nice after the problems with our airlines. The place is fantastic. The amenities are great. Everything that you could ask for in a property. The host set us up well and Darwin, the on site host, greeted us and gave us some great suggestions. Both were available if we had any questions. It is the perfect place to get away from the hassles of life. It is also close to Bocawina and St. Hermans Blue hole and only an hour and a half from Xunantunich Mayan ruins. We loved the dock!

Great house

The house was lovely with many high-end features. It was great to have the pool and dock, we used both. Our timing was unfortunate with the sea grass, we often caught an unpleasant odor. We enjoyed being near, but not in town.
