Wonderful!!
My wife and I stayed here for a few nights to celebrate her birthday. Everything was amazing -- a beautiful location right on the water, oysters were plentiful, the hot tub was amazing and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back!!

Relaxing getaway!
The house was very clean and comfortable, with the sounds of waves lapping just outside the front windows. We enjoyed our time there very much. It was so relaxing. Host Suzanne did a great job! Our first time using a VRBO, and we want to go back to this special place again!

Aaaaah … Peace and Tranquility
This was perfect for a 3-day getaway! The home is lovely, the view is fabulous, and it was just what we needed to de-stress and unwind. Rained much of the weekend but we didn’t care! Relaxed inside overlooking the water, built a fire each night, slept really well, and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful winter stay
My husband and I took my mom for her Christmas present. We lived in Hoodsport when I was in grade school in the 70’s. A beautiful relaxing home for a stormy few days. My husband enjoyed the oysters immensely. I hope to return to this beautiful home.

Best of the Best
It was the Best getaway with my Girlfriend Ever Furnished with everything nice Hot Tub right on the Beach tiny pea gravel Beach in a cove Great fire place very quiet peaceful Romantic You could not find a better Beach Cabin anywhere we have stayed at many up and down coast. Great weekend getaway!
What a great place to stay for a long weekend on the Hood Canal! Had everything we needed and was a good jumping off point to head out for a day of hiking and then to come back to at the end of the day. Would definitely like to come back sometime.

Glad we chose the location
We really enjoyed harvesting the oysters! Disappointed that the seal raft had sunk, but saw some cute otters. If you like fat, plump oysters of somewhat varied species (it appeared), they are delicious. (I should have used more caution, as the shells are very sharp) Kayaks well kept. Location worked wonderfully for our day trip needs. The cabin is well kept with beautifully crafted windows. We had anticipated a bit more privacy. We rented what turns out to be unit 3. With this unit you must park and cross a path in front of both units 1 and 2. Hot tub sits close to next unit. Loved the oyster books!! Thanks!

Wonderful property!
Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Great amenities, including a well stocked kitchen. Lots of books, games, DVDs for us to use. Used the hot tub more times than I can count. Loved harvesting oysters from right in front of the house; used the outdoor grill to turn them into delicious meals. Already planning a return trip, with our boys in tow next time.

Beautiful Setting!
My daughter and shared 5 totally wonderful nights at this property. The view and setting are absolutely amazing and so beautiful. We had perfect weather and my daughter actually swam, twice! The house was extremely comfortable, beds were great (I came home and ordered the same sheets as on the beds because I loved them), kitchen had everything we needed and we loved sitting on the deck. Only drawback is the noise, unfortunately. You really hear the traffic above and behind you. Not so bad at night because there's less traffic, but those big trucks make a lot of noise especially with the windows open. Otherwise, we had a fabulous and relaxing time!

Incredible waterfront location!
This place was just as beautiful as the pictures made it look. The kayaks and the dinghy were much appreciated and we used them. The view and water access are both unbeatable. We would definitely stay again.

Great family getaway

Amazing private beach, peaceful and well-stocked home
We stayed at this incredible home for 5 days and loved every minute! The house is right on the beach and the kids spent hours daily looking for crabs and playing outside. The property is a short drive from town and close to restaurants, the grocery store and state parks. The home is well-decorated and has very comfortable beds and a great grill. Book this place, we can’t wait to return!

Everything here is very nice,oyster just step away and it’s fun and relax living here..only 1 thing I’m not really happy with it.Owner has a checkout list for guest to fill out and if not she gonna charge you $50 for that,and it’s said you have to take off all bed sheets on floor and keep all used tower in wash machine,wash all the dishes and put back in cabinets…throw all trash away..then what is the point I paid cleaning fee???

Delightful!
Delightful cabin! We unfortunately had nonstop rain and still had a great time. Incredibly well stocked kitchen! We actually came home and bought a few things we’d seen here for our own home. We played monopoly and other games, used the hot tub daily (my daughter spent hours in it) and made delicious seafood on the grill. We went up to Port Townsend to escape the rain for a day trip and that was wonderful as well. Will definitely be back.

Another great stay
We stayed at a neighboring cabin before on the property and really enjoyed it and this year tried out a new cabin. It did not disappoint. We loved the wall of windows looking out from the main living space out onto the water, the fireplace, the cozy living room, and the hot tub overlooking the water. This would be an amazing place to stay in the summer as the living area opens up with French doors onto the deck. Suzanne keeps the place clean, well maintained, and practical.

Exceeded Expectations
Much cleaner that was expected for a beach property. Very well appointed with high quality finishes, towels, bedding, etc. Easy to follow instructions and very responsive manager when needed (only once for a minor issue). The deck and view were very nice. Beds were comfortable. A few suggestions: 1. a non-slip bathtub surface, or bath mat, would be appreciated as the tub surface was very slippery. 2. Some hooks in each bedroom to hang robes, jackets, purses, etc. would be do much better than putting them on the floor. Likewise, some hooks by the entrance for rain jackets, etc. 3. The freezer compartment in the refrigerator was not very appealing due to rust and the very strong smell. 4. Perhaps some storage space for guests non-refrigerated food items. We ended up keeping ours in sacks on the bedroom floors. Lovely place and we would like to return for another getaway. Thank you for sharing your beach house. Linda, John, Les, Donna

Hood Canal Gem
We had a brief but lovely stay at this gem on the Hood Canal. The setting was amazing and I could have happily spent many more hours on the deck! Beyond the deck, the home is immaculate and well-stocked. The kitchen has everything you need and more... I can't wait to visit again!

This is an excellent rental house in a great setting. The house sits right on the water with a beautiful view and a very comfortable deck. Suzanne has furnished it nicely and it is equipped with any possible appliance, accessory, and equipment that you might need during your stay. The house and grounds are impeccably clean and well maintained. I recommend it without question, and will definitely rent it again myself.

We are already planning our next visit!
Our family had a wonderful 4-night stay at Octopus Hole Beach Cabin. I appreciated all the thoughtful amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen. The deck is where we hung out most— eating meals; watching seals play in the water; stargazing at night. There is significant noise from the road behind the cabin, especially when the bedroom windows are open. Although we were able to drown it out (somewhat) with box fans, there were also earplugs in a kitchen drawer as a back-up option.

Beautiful spot to relax
We had an incredible time here. The property is right on the water and in the evening the waves lap up and crash against the sea wall just outside. The deck has french doors and we kept them open and let the breeze blow in during the day. We stayed in the main cabin which is farthest from the parking area, which is gravel. You have to walk across the yard in front of the other 2 rentals to get to it. They do provide a couple wagons which made loading and unloading a bit easier but be aware if you have limited mobility or accessibility needs. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked very nice and clean, and it is private to the main cabin guests. We are not oyster or crab people but if you are there is definitely an opportunity for that. We just had a nice quiet, relaxing time.

Wonderful & Scenic
For her birthday, my wife wanted a place on Hood Canal to relax and enjoy a Hood Canal view. It was a bit short notice so we felt fortunate to have found this place still available. It also turned out to be great weather during our short stay as well! It's a fairly small house, but perfect for us. It would accommodate 4 people nicely. Pros: Unobstructed views, as on the beach you can possibly get, lots of oysters, very clean, very well appointed with just about everything you could possibly need from kitchen accessories to games and books, close to Hoodsport so quick access to groceries and all Hoodsport has to offer, very close to Tides Restaurant, carts available to help bring your luggage to house, fast internet, hot tub was nice, very comfortable bed (spared no expense here) Cons: Right next to Hwy 101 so you hear all the vehicle traffic especially in the bedrooms (fortunately there really isn't a lot of traffic, especially at night), way too small a TV for this day and age, a bit of a walk from car to house and have to walk right in front of two other houses which felt weird. Overall, we loved the place and have already decided that we will return. We may even try and plan an extended family outing and rent all three homes!

Hood canal getaway
We arrived Friday evening after dark, which did make it a little trickier to sort out the parking and path to the home (you walk along the bulkhead past 2 other homes on the same property). The instructions were accurate, just took a minute to sort out on the dark. All amenities were as expected based on the photos in the listing. King bed was very comfortable. Oysters from the beach were a unique treat. Hot tub was clean and hot. Plenty of towels, well appointed kitchen. All in all, a very good experience.

Amazing place to stay
This place was beautiful. The house was very clean, comfortable and cozy. The view of the water was so beautiful. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again. The only drawback was the parking. You have to park a few cabins away and haul all of stuff past the other two cabins in order to get to this house.

This was our third time staying at Suzanne's Hood Canal cabins. The cabin is very comfortable and cozy, is well appointed with books, games, and everything you need in the kitchen, and has a stunning view across the canal. And of course the main draw is the plentiful oysters steps from the front door. The cabin is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view and the oysters.

Wonderful, Romantic Getaway
This was a gift for my husband, but we both REALLY enjoyed our stay at Octopus Hole. Very comfortable cabin with a nice fireplace, well appointed kitchen with just about anything you might need and the most comfy king size bed and feather pillows. It rained most of the time we were there, but that was okay as we just enjoyed the fireplace, did some reading, made a few short tourist excursions, then back to relax at Octopus Hole. Our host, Suzanne was very receptive and helpful and we hope to return again next year.

This was a very warm and friendly atmosphere, everything was perfect-very clean and a great view of Hoods Canal. We just stayed around the house sat on the deck and enjoyed the beauty of the area. Very nice fir pit which we enjoyed and had a hotdog roast one night a great evening to enjoy the the outdoors.

Don’t tell your friends - this place is too cool 😃
Everything about this place is great- from the location, architecture, the small details of all that is provided to make it comfortable, and of course, the amazing view. You can’t beat the Hood Canal location for fishing. And while my husband was out fishing, I was enjoying the amazing deck and the oysters we harvested from the beach that morning. The town of Hoodsport is right there - with a full service grocery store, restaurants, and even a distillery. We have been to a lot of vacation rentals, and this one is at the top of the list.

Beautiful waterfront location
This was our second trip and it was just as good as I remember. Comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen, quality linens, and amazing views and location. Suzanne is an excellent and responsive host and the house is clean and well appointed, kept up and really cozy and comfortable. My sister and Brother-in-law rented the studio next door and it was so nice to be able to hang out with them. We were able to try a few local places this year and the Hama Hama oyster bar was really great as well as the wine tasting in Hoodsport. Nearby hikes in the National Park, and close to Seattle.

Quite nice
Cute place, comfortable beds and nice little 'extras' like books, games and DVDs. Small but efficient kitchen. Being right on the water was lovely and really fun for our niece. Bring good water shoes since the tide flat is rocky and sharply oyster-shelled. Not super-private (it was a bit awkward to have to cross right out front of the other cabins' outside lounging space to get back and forth to this unit) but everyone was very kind and gracious about it. Lots to do in the area and up at Lake Cushman, but it was hard to not just want to lounge on the deck!
