Lake Front Luxury !!!

Meget unik eiendom ved Lake Honeoye. 110 fot ved sjøen med dock og båtheis samt et fint rullesteinsstrand. Lakehouse ble totalrenovert i 2016 for å inkludere et gourmetkjøkken samt et oppdatert bad. 2 soverom i underetasjen som sover, fem personer. Ovenpå har det andre fulle bad samt et stort køyesal med plass til åtte. Ovenpå har også et eget ee-klærom med vask og brukes ofte som et soverom for barn. Av kjøkkenet er et 450 kvadratmeter stort dekk, skritt fra innsjøen. Eiendommen har det eneste oppvarmede bassenget ved innsjøen, i tillegg til et boblebad og badstue. To separate oppholdsrom, begge med egne dekk og utsikt over innsjøen, det ene rommet har peisovn og det andre en peis. Alle senger har nye memory foam-madrasser, og møblene er alle nye. For bruk er 2 enmannskayakker, en kano, laserseglbåt, brygge, båtheis og vannkoker kullgrill. Lake tilbyr flott fiske og fantastiske solnedganger.

First, our hosts Ed and his wife were attentive, friendly, and very responsive. A minor problem that arose was settled in minutes. I cannot say enough about how good they were from the booking process all the way through our stay. The house itself was exactly as described on the website, a fact that we found remarkable considering other houses we have rented in the past. All the rooms were clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils and dish ware. The downstairs bathroom is large and features a huge walk in shower. The outdoor area is amazing. The fire pit area is right on the lake. I highly recommend both the property and its owners.

House was lovely, plenty of room/ seating for everyone, good kitchen, nice location. On the lake with kayaks and a canoe, hot tub, and pool. My wife and I with our two adult daughters and their partners enjoyed a nice quiet mellow relaxing week. We really never left the house. Would consider visiting again. Ed was a great host.

A lovely stay for a family gathering! The mature trees on the shoreline frame a beautiful view and provide shade on hot afternoons. It is fun to alternate between the lake for kayaking and the pool for swimming. The fishing in the cove is excellent. The kitchen is well equipped and the house clean and well maintained. The owner was very responsive when we had a glitch in the air conditioning one day. The second floor is ideal for tweens and teens as they can be together and still have their own space. Wi-Fi access was seamless for those who had to handle work issues. Highly recommend.

Lakeside Getaway

Beautiful property with terrific lake access and plenty of parking space. Spacious kitchen and living areas with plenty of sleeping space. The pool and hot tub were a wonderful plus. My family voted it was the best VRBO yet.

Perfect family getaway with such amazing views and access to the water it’s hard to describe. A quiet area though several houses nearby - felt very private. The pictures tell only part of the story. The house is just right for a larger family. The kitchen is large and had all the things you need for meal prep — we cooked several nights and enjoyed gathering around the large island. Open floor plan to a living are and dining table. Plus another space that’s set off and a bit quieter with comfy furniture. Two bedrooms on first floor - one with a king bed and one with a twin and a full. A beautiful bathroom in between with a walk-in shower. The bunk room upstairs has several beds and lots of space and a small bathroom with shower. Plus a little office nook that overlooks the lake and a small separate bedroom. The outdoor area is terrific. Large deck, a small pool that was such a bonus and hot tub and plenty of seating. The “patio” area next to the water has more Adirondack chairs and a dock.

Beautiful retreat

The property is absolutely gorgeous and located right on the lake. It was quiet and the property is being updated so you can kind of see the progress that they are making. It was enjoyable to look through the book of where they started and how it’s going. It is great to have the pool available as well as the sauna and we enjoyed that. While we did not have any children with us, the upstairs could easily sleep a good number of kiddos. We had one question around the laundry machine that cropped up, and the owners were very responsive. I would definitely return to the property. It was a little slice of heaven in a very beautiful part of the world.

Clean, modern, and spacious house, no lack of sleeping space at all. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, you are able to see the sunset every evening on the west ridge. Water was clear and flat, canoeing, kayaking, and even sailing was done from the dock every day we were there. The location on the lake in a protected cove was great for getting in and out of the watercraft. There was stuff to do for all ages that were present, from board games to strong internet connection. If I/we had a question, Ed was very quick to respond. Also a wonderful step off location to the parks, trails, and other lakes, it did not have the bustle of the bigger lakes, but was very close to the other locations and things to do, the silence at night was so wonderful. I would suggest this location to anyone that I know.

The house was wonderful and the outdoor spaces were fabulous! Lakefront was beautiful and spent every evening at the firepit. Pool and hot tub were key as we could not swim in the lake because of the blue green algae.

Perfect balance of lake and kid activities

This is a lovely property and was the perfect getaway for our family. Our kids spent hours (each day!) in the pool or poking around the lakeshore. The offered pool inflatables were a hit and kept the kids further entertained. We enjoyed the proximity to both Canandaigua Rochester to take advantage of museums, bowling, restaurants, amusement parks, and the zoo. It was a great way to balance relaxing at the lake house with some external fun. The house was clean, comfortable, and oh so relaxing.

Father's Day week at Lake Honeoye

Property is beautiful. Ideal location for nightly sunsets. Pool and hot tub overlook the lake. Fire pit area is perfect spot for making smores and enjoying family time. House is spacious and nicely equipped. Lots of water toys and games to play. Ed is a great host. He was available for a question or two during our stay and was quick with making sure our stay was nothing but enjoyable. We look forward to return again.

Great stay in the finger lakes

Our group had a great time during our week here. We were two families of 4. The house was the perfect size for us and was clean. We spent a lot of time on the lake, in the pool, and the hot tub. We also did a day trip to Watkins Glen one day.

Lakefront property

This was a great palace for family get together. We had a wonderful lakefront view..pool and hot tub. The kids really enjoyed fishing off the dock and each of them caught a fish. The accommodations were updated and clean. I would highly recommend this booking. There’s not a lot to due nearby so just enjoy the stay. We also rented a boat and had a fine time on the water.

Great Family Stay

My brother and our families had a great time at this property. Very lucky find to have both pool and lake access! Especially since we have younger ones. The kids loved the upper floor and the space to stretch out a little. Only thing we thought was off was there was a bit of dog fur on the furniture and floors. Also, it was a little inconvenient to take your Saturday morning on vacation to drive into town and pay to drop off garbage. Overall, these were minor things and this was a great place!

Honeoye Lake House

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house. House is well maintained, and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub made the stay even better. Water sports (kayaks and rowboat) were available along with required safety.vests. Everything we needed for a great vacation was available at the location. We enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend it based on the property, the location, and the hospitality of the owner.

Great Home on Scenic Lake Honeoye

The home was amazing for our family and exactly as advertised. Plenty of beds and room to lounge out. A large kitchen and living area combined. Then a second living area to boot!!! A big thanks to Ed, the owner, who was amazing. He was so helpful with the area and the home prior to our arrival. He invited us to make this place our own and we did....and hopefully we left it in better shape!! He was fast with response times to questions throughout our stay. That means a lot. And he has a good partner in John on the ground who helps fast. The home itself is renovated, they have a book with all the past pictures. The pool and hot tub were key when we were looking for a home and these delivered - both heated to our enjoyment. The lakeside area is a beautiful setting with firepit and lots of amenities such kayaks, canoes, lounging chairs and a large deck. We rented a power boat for the week and the dock was set up with cleats and rope to ensure nightly tie down. A bonus was the "front lawn" where we were able to play other games. We literally were never short of things to do on property. I would 100% recommend this home to anyone searching for a lake home in the Finger Lakes region. We vacation at a lot of lake homes and if we come back to the Finger Lakes in the future, we will be reaching out to Ed. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home for our vacation!

Perfect and relaxing break

Family and friends very much enjoyed our stay. The house is as described. There was plenty of room. We all enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and the fire pit. The small grocery store was located close by and met our needs. The only downside was the upstairs loft/bedroom area. I was prepared with extra fans because I had read that it got warm. Well....it does get very warm even with a portable air conditioner and 5 or 6 fans (2 which we brought). The kids were very warm upstairs while trying to sleep. The only other comment is the lack of bath towels. The house can sleep 10 but we had 5 towels. That may be due to the fact that my son and friend joined as at the last minute so they were only expecting 5 of us originally but still would have been nice to have a few extras. This is a minor inconvenience and beach towels were used. Overall it was a lovely home and we all enjoyed our time.

Lake vacation

We had a nice vacation on the lake. It was a little cool and the weather prevented us from spending as much time on the water as we had hoped, but the property was great. The kids caught dozens of sunfish, bass and perch off the dock. We enjoyed the fire by the lake with s’mores each night. The beds were comfortable, the views are spectacular. We have great memories of the time spent here. The property owner was great to work with and the rental process was quick and easy.

Amazing location!

We had a great time at the property. We loved the location with the amazing views of the lake. The kids had such a great time in the pool and on the kayaks. Host was responsive and helpful. Wonderful memories made and we are so grateful to have found this home!

Great house, but...

Overall we had a great time during our stay. The house was nice, and had plenty of space for 2 families of 4. The pool was maintained at a good temperature and the outdoor space was perfect for a cup of coffee by the lake in the morning! 2 factors kept us from giving this house a 5 star rating. First, although the listing stated there was air conditioning, the AC is NOT central. There are 2 portal units in the house, one for the loft and one for the living area. This was not sufficient to cool the space, even with opening the widows at night, as the main room never got below 80 in the evening with the bedrooms even warmer. Second, there were TONS of ants and flies all over the house. I get it, there will be bugs at a lake, but day 1 we killed 30-40 flies and spent the entire week fighting to keep the ants out of our food. I wish the listing would have been clear that the AC is not central as we probably would have made a different choice for our vacation as this is important to our group.

Great!

Can't say enough nice things about the house, property and experience. The house is well equipped to handle many people, the property is extremely well kept, the pool and hot tub were outstanding! The fishing from the dock and kayaks was AWESOME. We had a really great time doing the Canandagua wine trail and eating at some of the places Ed recommended. We went to Grimes glen which is a short drive, and really enjoyed the house and entire area. Thanks Ed!
