Surrounded by soaring pines at the end of the road, this renovated cabin feels truly secluded. While enjoying a wonderful sense of privacy, you're within walking distance of the Tahoe Pines HOA pier and dog-friendly beach. You're also a 4-minute drive from Homewood Mountain Resort, where alpine slopes come with dazzling views over Lake Tahoe. In the warmer months, take a short walk to the Tahoe Pines Beach and Pier, or enjoy hiking around Sugar Pine State Park (10-minute drive). Rent mountain bikes and follow the road along the shores of nearby Lake Tahoe, or enjoy an afternoon of kayaking and boating out on the water.

The wraparound deck leads to a sunny sitting area with a four-seat dining table, a grassy yard, and your private hot tub. A fabulous spot to sip morning coffee with a view of the pines. There's also a gas grill for homestyle cookouts. Inside, upscale furnishings contrast with rustic design touches, including walnut flooring and a reclaimed barn ceiling. The stylishly furnished open-concept living, dining, and kitchen space features a stone fireplace and a 54-inch smart TV, equipped with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube TV. Sink into an armchair or sprawl out on a huge sectional. Get cooking in the gourmet kitchen featuring marble countertops and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, and stove/oven. Dig into pre-dinner snacks and chat with the chef at a kitchen island seating three, then gather at the rustic barn-style dining table for memorable meals.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Incredible location, comfy house, great yard

What an amazing place! We were 2 families with kids and it worked wonderfully. The house was safe for the baby and great for the toddlers. Highly recommend the hike at the end of the road to see the gnomes!

Amazing Property

Friends of ours stayed at this property in the past and we loved it! Got lucky this year and it became our week long retreat. Kitchen is great, plenty of linens, comfortable beds, the backyard is the absolute highlight! We highly recommend this property!

Nice getaway with a few hiccups

First, the house itself is adorable and had plenty of room for myself and my 3 adult children. The kitchen is set up well and easy to cook and still be a part of the conversation. the neighborhood is adorable just a few blocks from the lake for our afternoon walks. It's important to know that the cell service stinks in this area so don't expect calls to go through. The big issue we had was that the cleaning people never showed up and we arrived at 4:45pm to a filthy dirty house - not fun after a 6 hour drive. It was impossible to get my call to go through, so I had to drive down the road a bit to get reception. After 5 calls working with Vacasa, finally a cleaning crew arrived BUT now we had to leave the house for 2-3 hours, go eat out (which we weren't planning on doing) and couldn't unpack. I am still waiting for Vacasa to refund me my first night due to that fiasco. Now they are ghosting me and will not return my calls.

Homewood Retreat

I don’t usually bother with reviews but this time I will because this cabin is awesome. It was perfect for my family as we attended a wedding in Meeks Bay and enjoyed time out on the lake. This place is very nicely decorated, clean, and relaxing. I loved that they had everything you need but still a lot of space for your own stuff. So frequently the cupboards are full of broken appliances and they only have four towels. Not here!!! Lots of towels and everything you need in the kitchen. This place is well thought out with super nice. I love the owner’s style and it was so nice and clean.

Great place for two families

Check in was easy, location is great. Near lake, 2 minutes from Homewood, 15 minutes from Alpine and 20 minutes from Palisades (formerly Squaw) and 5-10 minutes from restaurants and shops in Tahoe City. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Minor gripes: I wish the hot tub had been set at a hot temperature prior to our arrival because by the time it warmed up, it was our last night. The cleaning was okay but not perfect - some dusty areas and a bunch of contact lenses left in a window sill. No dishwasher detergent which was inconvenient. But we would definitely stay here again and we appreciated the opportunity to stay in this contemporary but warm home.

Wonderful First Time Cabin

Our family truely enjoyed staying at our first cabin. This particular cabin really made us want to rent a cabin again. The cabin was spacious, accommodations were fantastic, the cabin has been updated and there was enough entertainment for the entire family to enjoy together or even seperate. We loved the fireplace. Us valley people are not accustomed to temperatrures below 40. :-)

Great location

Loved staying in this cabin! The location is ideal for us as we spend most of our time on the west shore when we visit Tahoe. I think we will definitely book here again. We had an issue with the showers not draining at all but they were quick to respond and it was fixed when it was convenient for us to be out of the house. The top shelf of the dishwasher is broken and the pans and cookware could definitely use an update but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Great place and location

This house is at the end of a road and there is no traffic. It's very nice inside. Nicer than the pictures. My kids spent all their time playing in the snow and in the hot tub. We got food to go from places in Tahoe City which is about a 10 min drive. Sunnyside is very close. I walked to the lake and back in about 20-25 min. Beds are comfortable and we loved the fire place. It worked very well. The house seems to back up to some open space. You can see other houses, but we felt like we had some privacy. I would absolutely stay here again. The only negative was that the cable didn't work, but that's not a big deal.

Perfect cabin in the woods

We really enjoyed staying at this property...it had everything we needed and was in a perfect location, away from all the crowds. Two things: the master bath was a little smelly when turning on the shower, perhaps the pipes? Also the master bed was a springy/squeaky (but still comfortable). Overall, we loved this place and will definitely come back!

Great location

Great location, close to Lake, hiking/biking trails. Quiet neighborhood. I think this would be a good place to stay in summer, nice outdoor area with hot tub and BBQ. Bathrooms and kitchen appear to be fairly new and were clean. But it is very sparsely decorated, no cozy cabin feel. Nightstands in all 3 bedrooms did not have lamps, just a single dull overhead light. Lighting in living area very cold, again no lamps. Kitchen was short on pots and pans. Stayed October.

Met our summer vacation needs perfectly

This is the third time we've stayed in Tahoe Pines and the first time at this house. The neighborhood is our favorite -- hiking trails 3 blocks one direction and the lake 3 blocks in the other direction. The landscaped yard was a nice surprise. We're used to either wooden fences or no clear boundary between the neighbors. This one was landscaped with a natural property line. It was very quiet in the evenings and we had nice interactions with others staying closeby when we were walking around. The owners clearly thought about all the needs a renter would have, which is greatly appreciated. We hope to return next summer if not sooner!

Enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! Very clean and upgraded, well stocked kitchen, comfy beds with plenty of extra linens, great outdoor space for kids and dogs and only a short walk to the lake! The only small issues were that the toaster was broken and the master bath shower was slow to drain. Thanks for a great stay!
