Malaya Dunes is located in the scenic and charming Laketown Township. This area is in the heart of the fruit belt of Michigan and holds the third highest spot for agriculture production in the entire country! Bring those apple and berry pickin' fingers — you're going to need ‘em! Also, if you didn't already know, Michigan is a HUGE beer-loving state. There are over 10 breweries in the surrounding areas and our sandy soil and close proximity to the lake makes for the perfect hops-growing conditions!

A short drive will take you to the creative and cultural centers of Saugatuck & Douglas. Honored by Midwest Living Magazine as 2020’s Best Beach Town, Saugatuck satisfies everyone from young families to refined art collectors to pleasure-seeking party groups. There truly is something for everyone in this lively and thriving hub. Nearby sister city Douglas offers more of the same fun for all ages with a slightly more laid-back vibe.

Did I mention the beaches?!? Breathtaking Oval Beach is only a short drive away and Conde Nast Traveler has ranked it in the top 25 best shorelines in the world! That's right, the WORLD! Get active at nearby state parks, take advantage of gorgeous hiking and biking trails and let adventurers try their luck climbing and running down majestic forested dunes lining the shoreline.

Please note that this home has a private driveway. When driving down 142nd Ave., you will see the dirt driveway entrance to the right before the road crests a small hill.

If you can peel yourself away from the beach and rolling dunes, you’ll find a modern kitchen, an open entertaining space with a fireplace, and four luxurious bedrooms. Malaya Dunes is uniquely suited for nature lovers with huge picture windows providing views of the pristine grounds. Pull your car into the breezeway-attached garage and plug in your electric vehicle. Take advantage of the home office for privacy and quiet. Then, take a book out into the shade of the covered outdoor seating, relax in the 7-person hot tub, and end your day chatting around the firepit.

Malaya Dunes is a short drive to Saugatuck, Douglas, Holland, several beaches, and various Wineries/Breweries. Want to venture out into the rest of Michigan's Art Coast? Downtown South Haven is only a 20-minute drive away and offers a whole different vibe filled with other activities to explore!

We love our pets! We invite you to bring up to 2 doggies.
Our pet fee is $145 and will include a Pet Basket for you to use during your stay: food and water bowls, waste bags, lavender pet shampoo, pet stain remover, puppy towel, and a little treat :) Woof Woof!

Laketown Beach is just a short walk from the house and is a positively stunning landscape! Given the steep terrain, this journey may not be accessible for some. Looking for something a bit more accessible? Be sure to check out Oval Beach and The Saugatuck Dunes State Park Beaches for a bit more ease! They are just a short drive away and equally as stunning!

The driveway leading to Malaya Dunes takes you winding through the sand dunes to your private oasis. Given the severity of the inclines, this property is unavailable during the Winter months (December-February). We recommend having someone drive who is comfortable driving through steep, winding terrain.

Need to connect while you're away? Work from the beauty of the woods! With over 400mbps you can stream, download, and video call with ease! Given the remote location, cell service can be a bit spotty, just turn on WiFi calling and you'll be just fine!
