Vida Mejor Poolside is a 2 bedroom townhouse style private salt water pool accomodation in Jamestown Park Holetown within a 3-5 minute walking distance to the beach, to Limegrove mall, to many restaurants, bars, two fantastic grocery stores, banks etc. 1 st and 2nd street Holetown has many restaurants and bars and is in a 5 minute walking distance. The area is safe and is frequented by the green monkey. This is our coolest Villa, a nice tropical pool submerged beautiful tropical gardens comprise of purple patria, white star jasmine, green and purple leahs, christmas Palms, angelicas etc. Add humming birds, fresh spinach and aloe vera and you understand true serenity with natures best.

A wonderful villa in a perfect location, run by a great host!

We stayed at Vida Mejor East Pool for 9 days in March of 2022. Our reason for this pick was a combination of the pool, clean looking villa, ability to have 2 master bedrooms and location in holetown. To say we were happy with our choice is an understatement! We were welcomed warmly by Carlton and Peggy, who had the villa ready for us well before our arrival. Carlton was communicative, prompt and courteous from the moment of booking through the finialization of our stay. The villa is clean and air conditioned throughout, which was a very pleasant surprise. The pool was clean and well maintained, along with the seating area outside, which we used every day. Having on site laundry facilities and a fully stocked kitchen made the stay so easy. There is a fantastic supermarket and gas station within 3-5 minutes of walking from the villa. Also within 3-5 minutes are PLENTY of amazing restaurants, bars and luxury retail shopping. The beaches are also 3 minutes of walking away and are in my opinion some of the best on the island. I definitely suggest going to Zaccios for dinner and sundowners while having a swim. Carlton and his team also provide car rentals, which we rented a very convenient hybrid hatchback that sipped gas and allowed us to tour the island. Carlton, Thank you and your team for everything, you guys provide a wonderful experience and we can not wait to return to Vida Mejor!!

Great villa in an idyllic location

I’ve just returned from Barbados where I stayed at this villa for the 1st time, and it certainly won’t be my last! My family decided to spend our Christmas holiday on the west coast and were fortunate enough to have found this villa. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. Carlton was amazing all the way through from initial contact to checking out. His communication was excellent, as well as his advice. We stayed in East Pool Villa (1 of 4 villas). We found it to be very comfortable, spacious and perfect for a family. The villa had everything needed for a holiday and did not disappoint. The location was excellent. 5-minute walk to a beautiful beach, major supermarket, restaurants and bars and Limegrove Mall. Although we hired a car through Carlton (Holetown Car Rental), everything is so close that you could easily get by without one. Zaccios, Jus Grillin and Sea Cat were our nearby favourite restaurants! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in East Pool Villa and look forward to returning again later in 2022. Thanks again Carlton for everything!!!

Beautiful villa

It’s in a perfect location close to beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The bus stop is just around the corner. Beautiful birds in the garden and the occasional visit from the monkeys. Carlton was very helpful and we look forward to going back. Thank you Carlton, Peggy and Sarina for everything.

Some updates needed (larger beds in all rooms, shower faucets, air conditioning noise and cooking pots/utensils, housekeeper duties). Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful Oasis

We have just returned from staying at Waterfall. What a lovely villa! Set in quiet surroundings with just the burble of the water falling into the pool. However very close to the supermarket and the upscale Limegrove Mall with the beach and bars not much further. Peggy looked after us very well, and also the pool cleaned regularly. Can highly recommed.

The good, the bad and the ugly

The villa was nice and spacious and in an excellent location. The pool was nice and clean, and it was quiet outside (once the neighbours had gone out) Loved the Christmas tree and was so pleasantly surprised by the personal touch of a present. Fresh flowers too, made the place feel like home. Carlton was very responsive, friendly, well mannered and an asset to the property. The media were very good, with large TV, DVD player and cable TV. Nice undercover area on patio, so you can be outside if it rains and also shaded from the sun. The downside to this villa was the office right underneath our villa; this was just noisy (and this was at Christmas and New Year too). The office door kept slamming so hard that it rattled through our villa, open from about 7am, lots of people talking outside our front door, stamping of feet up the steps. We also had a couple of people ring our door bell to ask where Carlton was. They did not realise where the office was and what was a villa. This all need better planning. Running multiple businesses from this office also let to more disturbances. Vacuuming of cars for hire right outside the villa return as well as accountancy clients. Sadly, not much can be done about noisy neighbours, however as two of them live permanently in their apartment, may a polite chat could be had. Room for improvement We felt that the property was rather dated in places and needed some general maintenance and more accessories. One half of toaster was broken There were no wires plugged into TV initially, so we had to connect everything ourselves. The pool area needs tidying. It just looked scruffy. Furniture scattered everywhere, no neatly stacked, old lounger covers thrown over the fence. Rocks, coins and pegs just left on the window sills. Didn’t look like this area had been tidies for a while. The kitchen equipment was a mix of new and missing. There was a lack of food preparation items; eg mixing bowls, storage containers such as Tupperware, baking/casserole dishes. There were minimal plates and mugs; only 4 of everything (odd as this villa should sleep 6) There were no trays to take items to pool, which is where we lived for the week. Overall this is a great villa, but has been let down by the noisy office and the general upkeep of the property.

A great location for a relaxing family holiday

We had a great family holiday in Waterfall Villa. It's in a great location, well designed and really quite spacious. The pool and gardens are lovely, very private with well considered planting, the pool is very well maintained and a pleasure to use. We really enjoyed seeing the resident Hummingbirds and the Green Monkeys which are often to be found in the neighbourhood. Holetown is a very friendly area with some great bars and restaurants. The beach is wonderful and a very short and easy walk from the property. Carlton was keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and we hope to return again soon. We also hired a car through Holetown Cars which was hassle free and very competitively priced.

Superb location on an amazing island.

We really loved our stay on the island from start to finish. Carlton helped us with a taxi waiting at the airport and was there when we arrived to show us around the villa and providing chilled beers in the fridge! The villa was spacious and the pool area was just right for us. The beach, numerous restaurants, supermarket and shopping mall were a mere 5 minute walk from our villa. We felt safe walking around the area, either during the day or at night. The local people were extremely friendly and not pushy, unlike some other resorts close to home. The beach was beautiful and clear, with many watersports on offer - I highly recommend the inflatable sofa ride and snorkelling with the turtles. Harrisons Caves were amazing, helped by a funny and informative tour guide. Oistins fish fry is a must for anyone who visits. We really didn't want to leave and will be coming back.

Great location,very good villa with pool and very well looked after by Carlton and his team.

This was our second stay at West Pool and we will definitely be going back.The location is perfect for Holetown,it’s restaurants, the new supermarket and Limegrove. A car isn’t really necessary as it’s only a short walk to hop on the Reggae Bus. We did hire a car from Carlton as we like to do an island tour,across to the East Coast . We were very well looked after by Carlton and his team.

On arrival we had a very warm welcome. The property is very spacious and clean, situated in a lovely quiet area. There is everything you need and if not Carlton would no doubt oblige. The pool and outdoor area is very well kept and Shad who takes care of the pool etc is a very helpful and friendly. Carlton is always on hand if there are any problems or questions which is really helpful. The beach / shops / bars are just a short walk. The green monkeys make a daily visit which is nice to see also. Absolutely no complaints just praise for a beautiful stay here. Hopefully we will be back again.

Car and Villa were Superb. We are booked to return in 2019!

This was our 7th visit to Barbados staying at Vida Mejor. We had both a car + villa for a month and everything worked out very well. They were both great rentals. The all-inclusive, airport transfers, luggage assistance at the villa on arrival and departure, taking care of the villa during our stay etc were all very good. Thanks to Carlton and team for another holiday to die for!

This villa is in the perfect location in Jamestown Park in Holetown. It is easy walking distance to the beach, the supermarket, which by the way is the best one in Barbados being newly rebuilt. The villa itself is very spacious and the staff are helpful.

Great Location, great villa, great staff

This place is 5 minutes walk from the beach, 3 minutes from Limegrove Mall and first & 2nd street Holetown. 7 minutes from the Supermarket, which by the way is a brand new top notch supermarket which was opened in November 2017. Villa has a nice flowing design, the pool is great and bigger than a plunge pool, nice for short laps. Staff all nice. Overall great experience.

Great villa and excellent location

Three of us stayed for two weeks in August 2017. Carlton was extremely helpful in arranging airport transfers, as well as car hire for a couple of days. The villa is well located, within a 5-minute walk to the beach and plenty of beach-side cafés and fine dining restaurants to choose from. The glass-bottom boat and swimming with turtles experience was good value. Slight inconvenience was the local supermarket being closed for renovation. However, there's a free shuttle bus running four times a day to the supermarket in Warrens (8 minutes away) and basic provisions can be purchased in the food mart at the local petrol station. Would highly recommend this villa and would definitely book again if we return.

A real home from home. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable. It is set in a residential area and very quiet and peaceful. Carlton ,Trisha and Peggy were very friendly and helpful. Car hire is also available at the villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
