It’s a utilitarian budget hotel without some pretty standard amenities like AC or in room WiFi, but for what it is it’s fantastic. Very close to some beautiful parks, and the bay views are great.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with anything I needed during my stay. I got the ocean view and was greeted by the ultimate view of reeds bay when I awoke. I felt at home here and was sad when it was time to go. Close to so many cool places and restaurants. Great for the price.

Room was clean, bed comfortable, liked the kitchen amenities in the room and the lanai for our room. Staff very friendly. Building is dated, TV required payment for all shows. Basically met our needs at a fair price.

Best value for my dollar at any hotel in Hawaii I've been to. Convenient, nice staff, free parking, close to all attractions and what did it for me is that the laundry,dryers, and soda machines are at a low price. They could have jacked up the price a little bit if they wanted too but they just want to be fair. Highly recommended for your stay. They also have 24 hour Security too.

It might not be much to look at but as I stayed fancy down the street, I appreciated the friendly staff and especially the maid service. down the street they won't make your bed or take out the trash unless you ask for it!! Here, they were outstanding!! Would definitely stay again and recommend, which I already have.

The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and neat. Even though it was a hotel, it was like a condominium had a refrigerator, microwave and a sink to do dishes, and it had dishes. And all the things you need for a pleasant stay.

The hotel is older and nothing fancy about it but it works great for what it is. The room was good size and very clean. No AC but ventilation with the fans and the open windows did well keeping the room cool. All in all, will definitely be coming back there if ever back in town.

Nothing fancy at all. Hotel is old but property is quiet and secure. Room has good amenities, bathroom and shower clean. Definitely will book Reeds Bay again when in Hilo.
