Breathe it all in from the top of our private hilltop. Look for miles and miles into the valley below or gaze upward and see magnificent sunrises, sunsets and night skies.

Explore 95 acres of hill country land as you fish in our private pond, wade in our meandering creek, search for our hidden Indian cavern, or take a break at one of our scenic overlooks.

End the day with a relaxing swim in the pool and then watch the stars come out as you enjoy some Texas size s'mores. All this and more awaits you as a guest at the Starry Creek Ranch.

Starry Creek Ranch was just perfect for a long holiday weekend with family. The house is newer, spacious, comfortable and a perfect layout for multiple families or groups staying together (two master suites, kids bedrooms, multiple bathrooms). The house itself far exceeded our expectations. The pool was a hit with the kids and provided relaxation for everyone. The views are spectacular and sunset is beautiful. The stars at night are also stunning. My husband enjoyed fishing in the pond every morning and evening. We also loved the adventurous hike to find the Indian cavern — one of the highlights of our stay! This property is unique and the host has thought of every detail to make the stay comfortable and memorable— we will be back!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway

There are just not enough good things I can say about our stay. Owners were very responsive to our questions. Property is breathtaking. Adventure at every turn. Our family greatly benefited from our time here and we are eager to return!

We stayed for a long weekend. It was amazing! First thing you see as you’re coming up the driveway is the spectacular view. Perfect amount of bedrooms for our stay. Very well stocked kitchen. Every detail is thought of. We would definitely come again fir longer!!

Perfect Getaway

We wanted to get away from our day to day and disconnect from screens for a long weekend with our 3 kids and found this gem! My husband and I, along with our 13, 12 and 10 year old had an incredible time and made memories that will last a lifetime!! We can’t wait to come back again in the future!

Beautiful space

We stayed here for a family get together and had a wonderful time. The house is very well appointed, with lots of wonderful touches (labels in the kitchens, tons of indoor and outdoor games, rollaway beds, etc.). We had enough space for our group (6 adults, 5 kids). The backyard is beautiful with a great view of nature and a very comfortable bench swing to watch the sunset. There were tons of stars to view once the sun went down as well. The kiddos enjoyed swimming, feeding the fish, exploring nature, playing games, and dancing along with the Jukebox music. It is a great location and a beautiful and comfortable home!

Fantastic Place!

Celebrated my 70th birthday with children and grandchildren - everyone had a lot of fun and it was wonderful celebrating with all 14 in the family! Accommodations, pool table, swimming pool and hiking were all first rate and led to a very enjoyable stay.

Awesome Family Vacation

The property is absolutely beautiful. The ability to go out the back door and explore the countryside with the beautiful wildflowers, creeks and caves, plus have the pool to enjoy made for the most relaxing time for our family. Amazing house and property

Well organized and stocked. Everything is labeled. Lots of space and activities. The kids enjoyed the Scavenger Hunt.it was not warm enough to use the pool; we’ll have to return in a warmer season! We enjoyed our family together time in this lovely setting.

The Perfect Family Ranch in Texas

Oh the view! I cannot say enough good things about our experience, staying at the Starry Sky Ranch in Cranfills Gap. The house has been meticulously curated to accommodate guests. All furnishings are beautiful, Texas appropriate and well though through for the comfort and aesthetic of the home. Also, the labeling! Drawers, cabinets, closets- everything you could need is available and meticulously labeled and easy to find! And the details from the classic vinyl selection in the pool room, the board games, the books on Texas history, geology, cow identification (a favorite with our group!) and the information on local points of interest and easy day trips made us wish we had booked the whole week! We had 12 people at the ranch and had plenty of space and everyone had a great experience! A favorite was the hand drawn map to the hidden Indian cave and the afternoon excursion to find it! (if you are traveling with kids it is very easy to pop the map out of the three ring binder, and also hide that for them to find!) go on the hike. Look for fossils and arrowheads, and make sure to set aside time to town out all the lights and sit out by the pool to watch the sky. The longer you stare the more layers of stars that seem to appear. It truly was magical. We also managed to sneak in a polar plunge at sunset one night.(the pool is beautiful and the 7 year old and young adults were all game for the plunge!) and you could stare out over the valley for hours and fill your heart.

This property is just as it is represented. We’ve done many vacation rentals and Nancy is definitely the hostess with the mostest. She will bend over backwards to accommodate. All pros and no cons on Starry Creek Ranch. Beautiful home, beautiful scenery and beautifully decorated.

Stunning Ranch House

Upon arrival, everything was clean, neat and aesthetically pleasing. The view from the living room, kitchen and pool was absolutely breathtaking. My family had a wonderful time disconnecting from the world. The House is beautiful. Nancy was very quick to respond to any concerns I had. My family and I really enjoyed ourselves. There were plenty of rooms and beds. The jukebox in the game room was a treat. The scavenger hunt was a hit with the children in our family. I definitely suggest the house for family time or anyone wanting to get away and enjoy peace and quiet. We loved our stay and hope to be back.

The Most Wonderful Place!

Starry Creek Ranch was the perfect spot for our multi-generational family. We had ages 4 to 71 and the single story home was just what we needed. We swam and cooked and played games and explored the property - it was the best!

Wonderful house, Beautiful house, Breathtaking views and thoughtful and sweet host!!!!

Everything about this Vrbo is wonderful!! The hostess Nancy was on top of the paperwork and has a wonderful welcome packet! We took advantage of everything there was to do.. Fished, rode around the property (gorgeous) hiked to the Indian cave, swam played games and fed the cows. The house feels like a resort but much more personal and kind hospitality.. Everything is labeled and very clean. There are a wide selection of games both indoor and outdoor.. We loved it…. Do bring everything you need for your stay. It is remote and the nearest store is a good ways away. I feel part of its charm..We did make a Walmart run one day so not at all impossible..

Beautiful views and mild weather made it a very peaceful weekend!

Our group rented this as a place to stay for the Hico cookoff. Though a little farther from Hico than we would want, the place checks off all our boxes: enough beds and bathrooms, swimming pool, game room, beautiful view and hiking!!! We’ll definitely be back.

Family Starry Ranch Retreat

We had a blast as did my grandkids. Didn't need much. They have what kids like. Lots of open space to enjoy. Let em roam with some supervision. Will rent again. Excellent service and a family setting. Was treated like family by the host. Awesome trip. Enjoyed the beautiful views and fun family times.

Amazing getaway

What an amazing place to stay year round. It rained most of the weekend and we still loved the entire stay! So many thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! All ages are welcome, we had 5 to 75 and had a great time by all!
