The stay at Helendorf River Inn was overall decent, with a few notable strengths and one significant drawback. The location is a major advantage, as it is very close to downtown attractions, making it convenient for exploring the area on foot.
The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout, which made check-in and the overall experience smooth. The room was clean and well-maintained, meeting expectations for comfort and hygiene.
The outdoor pool area was a nice feature, although the water was not heated adequately, which limited its usability.
The main disappointment, however, was the breakfast. It was falsely advertised as a continental breakfast, but in reality, it consisted mostly of pre-packaged items. There was minimal variety and little apparent effort put into offering a more substantial or fresh selection.
Overall, while the service, cleanliness, and location were strong points, the breakfast offering significantly detracted from the experience.
