«We loved the location and felt very much at home in a comfortable home. Particularly liked the armchair in the window overlooking the reservoir. We were walking 7 “Ethels” in the Dark Peak and all were easily accessible from Martha’s Cottage so ideal for our purposes. Pie Night at the Pickled Pheasant was also a nice discovery!»

«The cottage is cosy, comfortable and easy to live in. The location is beautiful and secluded with a lovely little village only a few minutes drive away. Plenty of things to do within a few miles drive and lots of walking. Jo, the host, is welcoming and very helpful. «A well equipped and beautifully located cottage. Good position for visiting Buxton, Chester Zoo and all the Peak District walks. Good Local amenities. Friendly owners on hand for any issues or queries. Easily sleeps 8 (2 double and 2 twin room) and has two lovely hot showers. Plenty space for families!»

«We had a great experience while staying here. We had booked the two cottages for my mum's surprise birthday and I have a large family. This was a great place to do this as there was a pool which entertained us all and enough space that you weren't in each other's space. It had beautiful views and a hiking tail right on the doorstep for anyone interested in a lovely walk. It wasn't far to get to local shops/bars/pubs. I would stay here again»

«The cottage is lovely. There is everything you need there. The 1st floor rooms are lovely. There is a twin downstairs. Lovely powerfull shower. Tv was a pain to get to work. We were staying over Christmas so visiting family on most of the days but able to spend a couple of evenings in the cottage.
