Beautiful cabin on one of the top 10 clearest lakes in Wisconsin!


WELCOME!! This Celtic themed cabin is a quiet year-round getaway on a private 70 acre lake.
Summer fun includes swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking the multiple trails, biking the nearby Bearskin trail (1/2 mile to bike to trail from cabin) or just relaxing on the 4 season porch overlooking the lake and listening to the loons.
We are new owners as of the end of 2022 - we started renting again summer of 2023! We rented this cabin and fell in love with it!! We have decided to continue to share it with others and rent out in between our stays. We hope to create this same cozy feel when you come visit while including so many amenities!!
We just put all new floors in, January 2024, on the lower level - which is the bedrooms, TV room and spacious hallway leading to the laundry room and door to outside deck. (See pictures) This cabin comfortably sleeps 8. There is a queen bedroom, bedroom with 2 full size beds, 1 large sleeper sofa near fireplace and a leather futon in the sunroom facing the lake. The upstairs bathroom has been completely remodeled January 2025!
The newly updated electric fireplace in the great room sets the mood for the rest of the family congregating in the open concept kitchen and dining area.
The sunroom and lower deck offer beautiful views of this lake. Keep an eye out for the loon family and bald eagles.
The outdoor fire pit is another great spot for enjoying each other’s company or making s’mores!
The private pier offers a jump off point into the lake for a refreshing swim or push off point for one of the two kayaks, a canoe or two paddle boards all available for safe water activities as there are no powered engines allowed on this lake. This only adds to the peaceful atmosphere you’re looking for when on vacation!
Fishing for Bass and panfish may also be your escape. In addition, the famous Bearskin Trail is accessible about 1/2 mile down the road from the cabin for carefree biking or hiking. Downtown Minocqua is an easy 7 mile bike ride on the Trail. You can enjoy ice cream and good eats to refuel once you get there.
Is it a cold or rainy day? It’s ok, it’s time to check out the garage dedicated to a game room. Ping pong, darts and foosball are all set for your entertainment! This room has been completely remodeled in 2023!
Dogs are welcome - we do extra cleaning when we have dog visitors - there is a charge to have dogs stay with you at our property. Be sure to let us know that dogs will be joining you when you book your week. If you bring a dog and don't let us know, there will be a $150 charge. (If you let us know when booking, it's just $75). Thanks for your understanding!

We loved our stay at this lake home - the layout was perfect for our group. We loved having coffee in the screened sun room, playing games at the large table, using the well-stocked kitchen to make meals, sitting around the fire pit in the evenings, and much more. The lake is so peaceful and it was a joy to watch & listen to the loons and eagles. The kayaks and paddle boards provided were a hit. We hope to be back for another vacation.

A Perfect Peaceful Getaway - Highly recommended

We had an incredible stay at the Celtic Cottage! There are so many great things to say. First of all, it is very well maintained—everything was spotless, clean, and tidy. The cabin was generously stocked with everything we needed, which made it feel like home from day 1 of our stay.The location is outstanding if you are looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed so many activities: fishing, paddleboarding and kayaking, playing corn hole and relaxing by the fire in the evenings. Beautiful cabin on quiet lake

Relaxing Retreat

This cabin was perfect for our relaxing vacation. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and well furnished. (The only thing missing was a corkscrew, but we still managed to get to the wine!) We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, game room (ping pong tournament), fire pit, gas grill, and DVDs. The lake is so quiet and peaceful; we enjoyed listening to the loons and watching the bald eagle. We met friendly neighbors on our daily walks down the road. And of course, enjoyed food and drinks in the area. A fun little adventure is the pie social and snowshoe baseball in Lake Tomahawk. I really didn't want to leave to return home! Thanks for allowing us to use your home.

Our Northwoods vacation

My family and I really enjoyed our time in this beautiful cabin on a peaceful lake.Well stocked kitchen, very clean and warm surroundings, great screen porch, downstairs deck with stairs to the waterfront pier. Peaceful Family Cabin

Clean spaces throughout. Many areas to relax in the living room, sunroom, dock, hammock, campfire or game room. The paddle boards, canoe, and kayaks are perfect for a daily paddle. Fishing is superb for bass and bluegill some caught from dock. Beautiful views and wildlife including Loons and Eagles. Enjoyed walks down the road. Close to Minoqua for shopping.

Cozy Cabin

We had a great time! Beautiful cabin on a quiet lake. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The game room was a big hit with our boys! We had fun fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and having campfires. There was so much wildlife to see. Also a short drive to Minocqua for shopping, the beach, wildwood park zoo and so many more activities!

Cozy cabin on the lake with everything you neeed for a perfect vacation

The property is very nicely done. The house is clean and tastfully decorated. I was very comforable for the company of four people. The kitchen is well equipped and it was easy to cook. There are kayaks and pedal boards and cozy area by the pier, so you can enjoy the lake, swim and fish. Also a big plus was the game room with ping pong table , darts , etc. So we had no problem beeing at the cabin in a rainy weather. We'd love to come back!!

Clean and well-appointed

Our entire family truly enjoyed our stay, from the well-stocked kitchen, clean surroundings, great view, awesome fishing, relaxing screen porch, fun game room, to the quiet lake, use of the kayaks and paddle boards, and comfy beds. Sure, the lower level was a bit musty, but hey, you’re up north in a cabin and that’s to be expected.

Family Getaway

A great cabin on a quiet lake for our family getaway. Very clean cabin with many great amenities that we were able to utilize from the canoe to a fun game room. It is a 15 minute drive to downtown Minocqua so it is a perfect distance to stay away from all the hustle and bustle.

Comfortable and homey

I really enjoyed my stay at Celtic Cottage. I’ve stayed in enough rentals that I feel like I can tell when it’s a real family who owns a place rather than someone (or a company) that does this for a business. the real family houses have furniture that’s comfortable and clearly has “favorite spots,” the cookware might be a full set or mismatched but it’s all good quality, and there’s an overabundance of glassware for any drinking occasion. It shows they actually use a place and furnished it with what was comfortable for themselves, vs those who just buy the cheapest and bare minimum for a flipped rental. And even if I’m wrong, well, all those things were still true. The basement could use a dehumidifier, and the neighboring houses are closer than I expected based on the photos, but it was fine. The evenings by the fire were lovely, and watched an adolescent eagle for a half hour over coffee. The elderly neighborhood folks I met while walking were friendly, too. I would stay here again.

Cozy Cottage

Our second time at this cozy cottage and we hope to be able to visit again. The property was clean and well equipped with necessities and fun activities. The cottage is located on a beautiful quiet lake on a long dead end forested street for beautiful walks. We love the proximity to the Bearskin Trail and it’s a short 10-15 min drive to downtown Minocqua and grocery stores/restaurants.

enjoying the colors

We had such a nice time at this place! The views were fantastic on the lake with all the beautiful colors. The house was very spacious and clean. There were kayaks and canoes to be enjoyed along with ping pong and other games.

Great porch and walkway to water

Nice house in the woods but on the water. House was very damp when we arrived but seemed to "dry up" the next day. The walkway to the water is beautiful. We caught a lot of fish. Bring a lighter for your campfire. It's a drive to the next grocery store or to get bait.

Slice of heaven on Lee Lake

We had the most relaxing time at the Celtic Cottage! Unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy, but that didn’t stop us exploring around Hazelhurst. The home was so cozy and we enjoyed the fireplace while settling in for the night. The ping pong table brought us tons of laughs and possibly a new hobby in the making?! We enjoyed sitting on the dock to watch the clouds roll in, even saw a rainbow, and got some star view on the first night. Eric checked in and gave us ideas on where to go! Would recommend and we hope to be back soon.

Great cabin with everything you could need and then some.

Had a great stay. Wonderful location close to fun activities and located on a quiet dead end road perfect for taking nice walks. Fun lake amenities to use and fishing poles to go fishing. We caught a couple large mouth bass! We would definitely stay here again :)

Heavenly place

The Celtic Cottage had gorgeous views, was extremely well stocked, and had an exquisite 3 season room overlooking the lake. We would have preferred a bedroom on the main floor so we made the 3 season room our bedroom. Best decision!! Our nights were filled with the beautiful sounds of the loons, jumping fish, eagles. Our host, Eric, was very prompt with any questions , check in and check out were a piece of cake, and we were sad to go! If I needed to name one thing that would have made our stay better, it would be a swimming area. My husband and I love to swim and float, but the area around the pier was not conducive to swimming. Thank you, Eric, for a wonderful , relaxing experience!!
