«We appreciated this place and its availability and welcoming of pets. Just wanted to say that someone else's dog is going to the bathroom in the yard (which we cleaned up too), there were dirty dishes in the cupboards, and the water reservoir on the coffeemaker was very dirty. We cleaned that out too. So some attention to detail is needed but I would go back!»

«This little cabin is a dream. Everything you need for a great stay to recharge. Clean and thoughtful in every way from supplies to decor. We thank our host for the memories and look forward to my my next stay (I have already booked!). The location is perfect near 23 to explore the area or even venture to Mackinaw for the day. «The house was very clean. Loved how well stocked everything was. Loved the fact we could sit on the dock and fish with the younger kiddos but still be close to the house. Would definitely book again. This is actually our second time booking this house we have been booking it every year for the last couple of years. I honestly don't in have anything negative that I could say about the house or even the property/owner.»

«Kitchen had every tool, grill was awesome. Hot tub, was great to watch the stars. Only thing I would have asked is a heads up on the neighbors letting their dogs run free. Beyond that, perfect stay.»

«Quaint, rustic and updated cabin with all the necessities to enjoy time by the waters of Long Lake. Plenty of room for parking the boat trailer. Water at the dock was shallow when we visited so we loaded and unloaded at the DNR Boat Ramp 3.5 miles to the west. Lots of opportunities in nearby Alpena and Lake Huron. Communication with the owner was easy and response time was immediate. Clean and well kept! Thank you Ryan!»

«In the area for an anniversary getaway, and found this reasonably priced cottage. First, everything we needed to know or that could have been an issue upon arrival was covered by the owner of the property long before we even left for the trip. The communication from the owners was exceptional and had us prepared for the visit. The location was wonderful, it was extremely quiet and peaceful. «I had to communicate with the owners prior to our stay, and they were very helpful and quick to respond. Their house is beautiful! We had a row boat and 3 kayaks to use, too. It was an awesome weekend get away!»

«Shower left a lot to be desired. Cold water knob fell off. When turned on not sure if it was from sitting or the shower head but ended up covered with a rust type sludge. I know it’s from the well water but maybe before being occupied if it sat vacant go in and run the shower and clean the shower head.»

«A returning guest to the Embers Cabin and it did not disappoint. Nice binders filled with information about the area provided by owner. Bed super comfy. All amenities were accurate with online property description. Clean, tidy and peaceful! It was great to unplug and unwind here. Also as a solo traveler, I felt very safe at this location. 10/10 recommend.»

«The setting was beautiful! The kitchen sink and shower were so disgusting, we went to town for cleanser and cleaned them before we could use them. The refrigerator was dirty and had other peoples food (condiments etc) in it. There were cob webs with spiders and eggs under the table in the living room. We only stayed 2 nights of our three booked. There wasn't a can opener or toaster in the kitchen. There were also two gun safes in our cabin! »

«NettieBay was a great getaway moment after the summer season concluded. No one else around except for our hosts--our hosts gave us a nice warm greeting upon our arrival and their communication was awesome. The evenings were silent and best of all, no Wi-Fi!
