Høy kvalitet på bad og soverom. Ingen hjelp å få til praktiske ting i Havanna. Det var vår første dag og vi trengte hjelp. Vi likte ikke stemningen på hotellet.

Koselig opphold midt i Old Havana.
Et fantastisk opphold, litt utenom det vanlige hotelloppholdet. Sjarmerende bygning, koselige rom. Litt mye støy fra gata på sen kveld / natt / tidlig morgen, men det gikk helt fint for kun to netter. Det ligger midt i gamlebyen av Havana og det gir en eksotisk og annerledes opplevelse. Vi bestilte frokost og vi fikk den laget der og da, omelett, smoothie, oppskåret frukt, toast og pålegg, betalte 50 kr. pr. pers. Oppholdet her var virkelig verdt pengene. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake! Anbefales.

Excellent location in Old Havana, very good service and excellent room. In the heart of Old Havana, right next to an excellent restaurant, the location couldn't be better, it is very safe, clean with very service and breakfast. Over all a very good experience

Low-pressure stay in a great location
Very low-pressure, I barely saw the staff or anyone else, but I knew where to find them. The aesthetics are pretty, and the location is perfect. Safe, with a security guard at nights. No free wifi, but I knew that when I was booking. Also the room did not have any natural light, so if you like to wake up from the sun, choose a room with windows

very good accommodation, legal and attentive team. large room. air conditioning cools well. The only point that I found faulty was the wifi, we had to ask for access and they unlocked the wifi password request and we were able to connect but they said it was only for an hour because the wifi was sold by them with access cards but they were without the cards for sell... I asked again after that 1 hour they released me for another 30 minutes, and the next day another 30 minutes... I think the only bad point would be that wifi is not available like in other hotels and it's kind of annoying having to stay asking for access and appearing to be a favor. The owner of the accommodation is a very good and lively person. the breakfast is good, fresh food made to order and tasty

As pessoas são excelentes, assim como o serviço. Como estava de férias, não tive grandes problemas de ficar sem internet em alguns momentos. Quando foi preciso, eles auxiliaram. O prédio é tradicional e tem identidade. O ambiente é confortável e a roupa de cama é de qualidade. A equipe fez de tudo para nos auxiliar, quando precisamos.

Ótima opção em Havana Vieja
O atendimento é excelente. Nos deram um quarto maior e ficamos nele até o final da estadia. O café da manhã é simples, mas tem o necessário (lembrando que há restrição no país e fartura é algo que não se encontra). A localização é perfeita e cobre praticamente todos os pontos turísticos em caminhada. O ponto negativo é a vazão do chuveiro e as vezes sem água quente. A região é muito barulhenta o tempo todo. Então, se dormir em silêncio for algo importante, considere se hospedar fora da região de Havana Vieja, pois nela estão consentrados os estabelecimentos que tocam música ao vivo.

El hotel está muy bien. Limpio, reformado, personal muy amable, buena comida y una terraza donde es agradable ir a leer o descansar. Se encuentra en plena Habana vieja, para lo bueno y lo malo. Los alrededores hay muchos restaurantes y bares con música en directo, pero también de gente que viene a preguntarte de donde eres y que te persiguen hablandote para que les invites o sacarte dinero de alguna forma.

Staff was quite nice, air con was working bit balcony was above restaurant and there was constant smell of fried food, disgusting. In the bathroom there was NO PRESSURE in the shower! Awful. We had room on 2nd floor for few hours to shower before flight home. Do not stay here.

We stayed here for a week with my friend, first time in Cuba and we loved it. It’s located in the center of Old Havana and we walked everywhere. Cosi, the woman in charge, greeted us as soon as we arrived and from there on she was there for us on every aspect of our trip. Manuel was also fantastic, helped us with taxis and recommendations on where to go and helped us saved money as we have never been to Cuba before and we were not familiar how things worked. Breakfast was excellent, they served us so much food that we felt bad when we couldn’t finished it. The hotel was clean and felt like home. We left Cuba on Monday and our heart was heavy. We wouldn’t had have the experience we had if it wasn’t for Cosi and Manuel. I feel we became part of a family now. I highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed

Good location. Practically no communication with the agebt/owner/anyone working there. I’ve sent them texts via Whatsup, i’ve contacted them through Expedia, received NO reply back at all. Property is as discribed. No one cleaned the room for entire duration of the stay. Same goes with changing towels/toilet paper. Water pressure in shower very weak. Very loud at night. Like VERY loud. I understand that it goes with any place in old Havana during the night, so no particular fault if the place, but be prepared to have very loud music and screaming all night long.

Our staff is always ready to help but if you do not look for interaction, they will respect your privacy. Cleaning is done everyday. It won t happen if you stay in the room.As for the water pressure we will check it out, but note that Cuba is a third world country with very poor infrastructures. There is NO water pressure in havana. Everything relies on small pumps and gravity. We are always doing our best to provide the best water pressure possible but is will never compare to water pressure in Canada,Yes, Old Havana is noisy, especially on weekends.This is why we installed double thick layered drapes from ceiling to floors and recommend shutting all doors and windows during the night.Kind regards,Philippe JohnGeneral manager,Hostal EL San Juan Old Havana, Cuba

What a gem hidden in Old Havana. From the moment we arrived to be greeted by the wonderful Jorge to the moment we left to be waved off by Jose-Luis, our experience at Hostal el San Juan was wonderful. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a particular highlight (even in the rain under the canopy). Another highlight was sitting in the communal area in the evening with a glass of wine listening to the world go by outside. The staff could not do enough for us. The choice at breakfast was really good and cooked on the spot once you had placed your order. The property has been beautifully restored with such attention to detail. We would recommend Hostal el San Juan and the incomparable staff to anyone. We will return.

Nuestro estadía en el Hostal el San Juan fue espectacular. Primeramente cuando llegamos el recibimiento de Cosi y Manuel fue maravilloso. Una sonrisa impecable desde nuestro primer día, la cual SIEMPRE fue acompañada con un EXCELENTE servicio. El desayuno súper variado de excelente calidad. Cosi y Manuel súper complacientes y atentos, su amabilidad y con el amor que siempre nos atendieron fue como sentirnos en casa, como si nos hubiéramos conocido de toda la vida. Nos hospedamos en la suite, el espacio, camas y baño súper acogedoras y súper limpio todo. Los precios de los desayunos excelentes, acompañado de un gran servicio, las atenciones fueron únicas. Cosi y Manuel, gracias por tanto amor, por hacernos sentir en casa desde el primer día, por hacer de nuestras vacaciones unas inolvidables. Definitivamente recomendaría el Hostal...si quieres sentirte en casa y pasarla bien, no dudes en quedarte en el Hostal el San Juan. Simplemente gracias!!!!!!!

Buena ubicación, casa muy bonita y acojedora
Ha ido genial porque la casa está muy bien ubicada y está muy reformada aunque manteniendo el ambiente colonial que le da su encanto. Consejo para visitantes, no hacer ni desayuno ni comprar agua en el establecimiento, se cobra muy caro para lo que ofrecen. Es muy tranquilo, hay personal de seguridad por la noche.

Gute und zentrale Lage, daher aber recht laut. Hervorragende Restaurants um die Ecke, z.B. das „Van Van“, „Tapas Bar O‘R, privat geführt mit tollen Fisch-Gerichten wie Ceviche. Die Dachterrasse ist eher praktisch, da sie nicht so einladend ist wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Das Bad war neu und alle anderen Bereiche außerordentlich sauber. Das Frühstück war ok. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis könnte besser sein, mit 80€/Nacht ist es eher teuer.
