Great Winter Stay
The driveway and walkway were shoveled. Check-in was simple and easy. Plenty of room for everyone. The house was well stocked with towels, linens, and housewares. Every room had its own bathroom. We will definitely stay there again!

Amazing! Lots of space inside and outside!
This was a great property for our family. Plenty of space inside. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. We had 9 adults and 3 children under 10. We played yard games and catch in the big yard. We explored and shopped in nearby Hampton. Our host even called us in the evening to alert us to upcoming storm warning. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Quiet Retreat
This was a great place for a quiet retreat! We had stormy weather, so we didn't get to use the fire pit as planned, or spend as much time outside, but it was spacious, comfortable, and perfect inside. The only downside was that the house has been smoked in at some point, so the lingering smell of smoke along with air fresheners was a bit strong at times.

I am not sure why it smelled like smoke. As our guest are not suppose to smoke in the house.Thank you for letting us know about the air freshners. We will take that into consideration of not having them in the future.

Great house & extremely responsive host
This house was great with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We had a party of 12 and everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen had most of what we needed. Our kids enjoyed the rec room and played lots of ping pong. The house listing says it has hot tubs/whirlpool tubs, but really they are just the claw foot bathtubs in the regular bathrooms. Everything else was great!

Thank you. We switched out the whirlpool tubs a couple of years ago. I looked at our description and I don't see where is says whirlpool tubs. I will keep looking and make sure we update if it does say whirlpool tub.

Great Family Getaway
We spent the weekend with our family here. There are plenty of rooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group. The property was clean and comfortable. Feeding the goats was a bonus that our grandson enjoyed. The only negative is the property's location next to a busy highway and it really wasn't that bad. We would stay here again and recommend it.

Making memories with the grandkids
The grand kids, my eldest daughter and 91 year old mother just wanted to get out of town overnight. Mom hasn't really got out much since covid. Grandkids are 2,6,7 and 9 and really had fun seeing the goats that the property owners brought over.

Fantastic property
This is a great option for family gatherings. Plenty of rooms, beds and showers. Very comfortable. Large kitchen where multiple people can cook at the same time. Fun game rooms in the basement. We had a ping pong tournament. Exceeded our expectations!

Awesome place for family gathering!
Property was as described and suited us very well for a holiday family gathering. Clean, comfortable, well appointed and spacious home that allowed multiple families to travel from many different directions and enjoy a meal together. Basement with ping pong and other activities was a good fit for a cold Iowa day. Loved having the extra refrigerator and washer/dryer onsite. The stairs were a challenge with a two year old but with a gate and barriers, we made it work. Nice to have a king and regular bed on main floor. This would be a great place for family gatherings, wedding parties, or groups to get together. Hosts were very responsive to any questions and easy to work with. We hope to return when weather permits the enjoyment of the outdoors!

We celebrated our Thanksgiving holiday here. It was perfect for our family. There’s a great table for enjoying dinners, cards, and conversation. There’s plenty of bedrooms and living space. It’s really a lovely house. We highly recommend it.

This was my wife and my birthday weekend getaway, There was 8 of us and there was plenty of room. We were pleasantly surprised how many rooms there were . The hosts were great, We couldn't find a blender so they brought us one. we will definitely going back.

Charming country get away
Wonderful spaces, inside and out for gathering together with family or friends. Definately a place to cook good food and gather for games or star gazing around the fire pit. Enjoyed every minute spent at this home.

Different place to stay
It’s completely different stay for us. Loved it a lot. We checked in at around 10pm and was little afraid about the house. Its like a house with rooms which never end. By the time we woke up in the morning we started loving the house. Host was very communicative. He responds as soon as he can. Will plan to go back there again

Family time on the farm 🚜
We all had a great time! We are all use to being on the go all the time with our vacations so it took a little getting use to, lol. Very relaxing, lots of room to spread out. My middle son loved the game room down stairs. Stairs were a little steep for me so I never made it down there. Tom and Jerry the goats were a hit! My kids named them for the week we were there. Tom and Jerry followed my 10 year old while he hunted for Easter eggs. Its a good thing there was so much space in the house because the weather was not on our side. I think at least 3 days it was so windy we couldn't stay outside long. House had everything we needed. Owner set up some personal touches for my 3 boys which was very much appreciated! I would have to say my only complaint would be the steet noise. I am a light sleeper so the cars kept me up alot. But that can't be helped. Awesome stay! Thank you Donnis and Lacey we really enjoyed ourselves.

Grandmas and Grandkids
Two grandmas who have been friends for 50 plus years brought their 5 grandchildren ages 7-15 for a fun and safe weekend (CoVid) Loved the space inside and out, charming country style furnishings, warm and friendly. Kids loved the goats. Courteous and caring hosts. Plan to visit again!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway. There was lots of room and a table big enough to let us all play cards and enjoy home cooked meals. The close proximity to the beautiful State Park and Hampton enabled us to do a little hiking and pick up some needed supplies. Overall great experience.

The best farmhouse ever
This place was great! The pictures do not do it justice. It is so big, so many rooms, and could have slept more than 12! Each room practically has a full bathroom attached as well. Great for privacy and great for families that are traveling together. We each had our own space so that we can have relax time before venturing out again. My kids and their cousins (ranging from 2-8) were in love with all the nooks and crannies! From the basement that had a ping pong table and 3-in-1 mini football, air hockey, and pool to the bunk bed room the kids loved it all. The 3 different thermostats for central heating and air were great! I love my room cold while some family members like to be a little warmer so the space and the thermostats were great! Lastly, our property manager was great! She had the WiFi password and contact on a nice big chalk board and brought over two baby goats so the kids could take care of them for a couple days! The kids got to walk them and feed them a lot! Overall, it was a great experience. The views from the multiple porches and decks were breathtaking. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Fantastic family time!
We had a wonderful time together in this big, beautiful home! It was clean and very comfortable. A great place to play Hide and Seek with the kids! The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. A big kitchen, dining and living areas plus plenty of other space! We did go to the lake and fished some. But because of covid we mainly stayed at the house and played board games plus ping pong and foosball in the basement. The kids and adults enjoyed feeding and walking the 2 goats they brought to the house. We enjoyed the firepit one evening using wood they had there for us. Donnis was kind and answered my emails and texts promptly! I would recommend staying here and maybe someday come back without a pandemic and check out more of the area. It was a great, safe place to enjoy our family!

Great farmhouse stay!
My wife and 10 year old twins thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Well-maintained, private, and picture-postcard perfect, our experience was exactly what we were looking for! The hosts brought a couple of baby goats ahead of our visit for the kids to play with- an absolute hit. The home and grounds were spacious, quiet, and afforded us the farmhouse experience we were looking for. Close to the Rolling Prairie hiking/biking trail and center of town a short drive away, there was plenty to keep us occupied. Definitely recommend a stay here for a classic farmhouse experience!
