For cruisers The beaches and gambling entertainment is all within a 15 min drive. This property stands out by being secluded from everything yet close to it all. With a country feel, at night you can Listen to the sounds of the woods while gazing at the stars in the hot tub! There’s Plenty of place to park your trailers for cruisin’. No fishing in the duck pond or glass bottles by pool side or hot tub. Property manager/ owner lives on separate structure on the property (pool house)

The yard had not been mowed for weeks. the house had not been cleaned. Carpet was dirty had not even been swept. The refrigerator didn't work had to go to foyer closet to use a refrigerator. The stove didn't work had tape to have it seal. The freezer had chocolate milk that busted and not cleaned. the dish washer had dirty dishes inside. The futon was broke the front door knob came off in our hands. The master shower had very low water pressure. There was more broke at the house than worked. Went back and read older reviews from June of 2024 and the oven was taped up even then. The host promised a partial refund which he never came thru with.

Beautiful hide a way home

We had a celebration of life at the property. Very beautiful home. Very spacious and the owner is very kind and helpful if needed. The home is a home away from home. The home is very clean and again plenty of room for everybody to be comfortable. Will definitely be staying here again.

We had an absolute blast at this house! We had 14 in total, 3 adults and 11 youth, visiting from MN for 3 nights. While there aren't bedrooms for 14, there are sleeping accommodations for 15 if you utilize livingroom futons.There were a couple of odd quirks that we thought a bit strange and frustrating, but did it stop us from having a good time, no. The kitchen frig was out of order, and the oven door is being held shut with tape. There was another frig for us to use in the pantry. Not ideal, but we managed.There were dirty dished in the dishwasher when we arrived, we had to run it twice, as they had been there for awhile, and no dishwashing soap. There were a few kitchen items that would have been nice to have when cooking for 14, like mixing/serving bowls, cookie sheets, a cutting board, etc.There was plenty of room throughout the house for the kids to hang out, play cards, watch tv, etc.The highlight was most definitely the pool! The kids loved it and had so much fun. They were very happy that it was a deep enough pool for a diving board, big plus! We swam a lot, even in the rain!The boys fished on the pond and thought that was fun!It's a bit out of town, but close enough for Wal-Mart delivery! We didn't mind the drive to the beach, plus the privacy greatly outweighed the proximity to "town".Seemed like it could use a deep cleaning of showers and toilets, and also kitchen cabinets, but sheets, towels, and floors were clean. Overall it was great!

Perfect for us

Location and setup of this house was perfect. It was a little outdated and needed some upgrades for sure, however, the size of this house and the pool were perfect for our large group. Will was very responsive to our needs and offered assistance when we contacted him. Although he lives on the property, he gave our group our privacy and wasn’t a bother. We enjoyed our stay!

Terrible experience

Stayed July 26th-28th. To begin with the house is absolutely beautiful! It's very spacious, and the layout allows privacy for a large party. However, there are several reasons the house did not meet the expectations to be a VRBO. The host and his significant other were in the house during check in, then host acted as if this was not an issue and wanted to give us a tour of the house.The host lives on the property in a pool house, and was seen several times walking through the pool area, and his children and dog could be heard from the pool patio. The diving board is unsafe and on a wooden platform, the pool was dirty, and the pool liner is very wrinkled. The grill was very rusted and dirty with burnt food, the oil pan had not been changed. The stainless steel refrigerator, microwave and the large portion of the oven were out of order. The refrigerator that was available was located in a room by the front door. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were very unorganized. Pots, pans, and utensils were thrown In drawers.The silverware and dishes were dirty and needed to be rewashed in order to be used.Several light bulbs were out, and per previous reviews this has been mentioned several times. The foyer table was broken and had a piece of paneling placed on top. The house had several personal family pictures, I did not feel like was staying in a vacation home.I did not feel the amount of money we spent was worth it. VRBO needs to review this house for future booking I did not f

Very Enjoyable Week

The house was clean and spacious. Our children really enjoyed the yard and the pool. We cooked a lot of meals in and the kitchen had all the pots, pans, and plates we needed. The host was very nice, very responsive, and very respectful!

Home not as described-dishonest owner

We swam the day we got there. That evening, ALL 10 children got horrible rashes and 3 came down with diarrhea, vomiting and an eye infection. We contacted the owner who checked the water and discovered there was NO chlorine! There was all sorts of bacteria. We researched and found out that the symptoms we were experiencing were exactly what was described in the medical journal. We did not use the pool the rest of the week we were there. This was one of the main reasons we chose this location. The owner was not honest about several things. The diving board was broken. There is no fountain in the pool. The lawn is not maintained. There was a chair on the deck that was totally torn on the seat and you couldn't sit on it. The pond is filthy and there was no rowboat as described. Internet was extremely slow for 3 users. Many light bulbs were missing or burned out. Lack of some kitchen necessities like cups. Had to use electrical tape to shut the oven. Listing said there were kids dishes-there were none. There were some toys but most were broken and gross. The pack n play was dirty. Fire ant mounds everywhere. The TV only worked sporadically. Didn't see the 3 kayaks that were listed. We ended up having to leave the property to find things to do. This was not a great experience. This cost a lot of money for not being able to enjoy the amenities that were described. Had we known the pool was a SERIOUS HEALTH HAZARD, we would NOT have booked this place.This was so disappointing.

Three families with 9 children had more than enough space for fun!! Will (the host) was so much fun, entertaining, kind, and accomodating. He took the kids to feed the ducks at the pond, but also gave us space to enjoy our vacation. We will absolutely return if we are ever in the area again. Extremely knowledgeable regarding the area as well as the New Orleans area. The owner had wonderful dogs that he was willing to keep in his house but they were so welcome to hang out with our crew

Cruisin 2023

Very nice owner, responded to emails quickly easy to work with. We had plenty of area to part out trucks and trailers and our old cars. The best place I have ever had for parking. The house and pool area is nice and no neighbors to deal with and a good location.
