Welcome to Top Shelf! This beautiful 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home located in the prestigious Morgantown community is the perfect place to take it slow and make your vacation dreams come true! With access to two pools, tennis courts, and multiple beach boardwalks, Top Shelf will be a treat for the whole family!


About Top Shelf

Located in Fort Morgan’s beachfront community of Morgantown, Top Shelf is a brand new 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom beach home that offers guests the perfect opportunity to take it slow and enjoy a relaxing family vacation. This home is just a short walk from Morgantown’s 3 beach boardwalks for easy access to the beach. The nearest beach boardwalk is approximately 0.3 miles from the home, about a 5-minute walk. Also nearby, are the community’s 2 pools and tennis courts. Morgantown even offers a kiddie pool for the little ones to enjoy splashing. After a day at the beach, guests can look forward to relaxing in comfort and style! Top Shelf offers ample outdoor space to enjoy from the shaded area under the house to the large deck accessible from the living area, master suite, and bedroom 3. Take in the sunset and enjoy the gulf breezes!

Inside, the spacious home can accommodate up to 13 guests comfortably. It’s also pet-friendly for up to 2 dogs with associated pet fees so furry friends can join the fun. The main floor living area features 2 comfortable couches, the perfect spot to cozy up and watch a movie or enjoy conversation with guests in the open kitchen. The dining area offers seating for 6 at the dining table, 2 at a smaller table, and an additional 4 at the bar. In the kitchen, guests can enjoy all the comforts of home while on vacation including small appliances, cookware, dinnerware, and ample counter space. This wide-open area on the main floor is the perfect space to enjoy a relaxing evening. 

The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, TV, balcony access, and an attached, private bathroom with granite countertops and a large, walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 features a queen-sized bed, TV, and an attached, private bathroom with granite countertops and a shower/tub combo. Across the living area is the other 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 3 features a king-sized bed, TV, balcony access, and an attached, private bathroom with a large, walk-in shower. Bedroom 4 features 2 sets of bunk beds to sleep 5 guests, a twin over twin bunk bed, and a twin over full bunk bed. This room also has a TV and an attached, private bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

About Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely residential community located in Fort Morgan. Guests staying in Morgantown will have access to two community swimming pools, four tennis courts, and three boardwalks that provide direct access to the beach.

About Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes.  However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.  We have no exception to this policy.

Good location

I was pleased with my stay. The place was not well stocked with items I normally find in rentals. However it would not stop me from renting this property in the future. The house was very clean and the area was very quiet. The walk to the beach is quick and easy.

2024 Beach Trip

We loved staying at this property. You can see the water from the back deck. We loved that it was one floor. It’s just a short walk to the pool and beach. Negative would be the mosquitoes at night. Take bug spray.

A bit disappointed

The neighborhood is nice and easy access to the beach, but the house desperately needs to be cleaned and all interior walls and doors painted. The first thing we saw when we walked in were filthy sliding glass doors. I did notify the property manager and they were cleaned 2 days later. I also notified the manager of the dirty walls, bugs in window sills and ripped couch. Bring bug spray as you can't enjoy the back deck without spraying yourself down. Also, there is no blender in the kitchen. The pools were also dirty.

Excellent house, clean, cool, cozy.

Nice, spacious, and well kept house. I literally can’t think of anything that would keep me from coming back. I’d rent again in a heartbeat and the only thing in my mind id want to do is suggest a couple things that would make it perfect. (So owners if you want to know them, feel free to text me!) I’d suggest anyone with a group of people to rent here.

Top Shelf-Ft. Morgan

Overall we were very happy with this property. The home was immaculate and the space was as described. The ocean view from the deck was limited. You had to look between houses to see the water. The outside yard front, back and sides was VERY overgrown. This was disappointing. There was so much overgrowth that the driveway and front of house was limited to see when getting there. We also noticed rats running around the outside of the property. The trash was not picked up the entire week we were there even though we had it by the road every day. That being said the inside was great. It was a very short walk to the beach and pools. It was much farther out of town than we expected and I wish I had known just how far. In order to go to restaurants or grocery stores it was at least 20 mins away. This again was disappointing. Not sure I would stay there again knowing how far away it was from town.

Convenient and Clean!!

This property was perfect for us - all on one level and every room has a private bath! Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. Loved the house and it's perfectly minimalistic decor! Only complaint was the dryer taking a bit longer for it's dry cycles. But still a 5/5 AND pet friendly! Took our kennels and rotated from inside to out depending on the weather! NOT ON THE HOUSE....but the pool was very cloudy and actually closed most of the days while we were there. The wind was higher that week, so I could have used more pool time.

Wonderful House!

We had a wonderful vacation and this property was so clean, new and fully stocked. The 4 bedrooms were perfect for our family and it was so nice to be able to bring our dog! The deck was a great place to relax and have dinner and was so fantastic to be able see the ocean from there! The whole house seemed brand new and sparkling clean! The water pressure was a little low, but it didn’t affect us much at all. Overall, great location, great view and great house! Thank you!

Amazing Week

We have visited Gulf Shores/Ft Morgan several times but this time was the best! The house was incredible and it was refreshing to find lodging that looked even better than the pics. The house was so clean and the location was perfect proximity to Gulf Shores but far enough out of town to feel tranquil. Beach access was a short walk and we truly had everything we needed during the stay. Can’t wait to come back!

Great time with family!

Annual family trip to the beach to celebrate the 4th of July. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed! Check in and out super easy, all done by text. Plenty of parking, we had 5 vehicles and still had plenty of room for more if needed. Kitchen well stocked with coffe cups, bowls, pans, cutting boards, etc. We found the blender but no base, not a big deal though. Beds were firm, had washer & dryer, dishwasher, and plenty of hot water for a large family. Had a few ants and centipede’s but nothing major and wouldn’t prevent me from returning. Nice boardwalk to the beach and it was about 5 min to walk from the house to the beach. Front porch had plenty of seating, table & 4 chairs, 4 lounge chairs and picnic table. You can see the beach but if the lot in front is developed you won’t be able to see the beach. Overall a great time and a lovely home!

Family weekend getaway!!

Everything was so nice we really enjoyed being so close to the beach. And everything look exactly like the pictures on website. My only complaint were it was dog hair all over the sofa. And a few lil bugs in the kitchen but overall everything was nice.

Lovely Home

Our stay at Top Shelf was a pleasant one. We have been visiting the area for years, and Top Shelf is definitely one of the loveliest homes we've rented. Harris property management had asked what time we would be arriving, and at the time I wondered what difference would that make, especially since we'd be arriving well after check in time. Well, when we arrived at 9pm, I saw why they asked. The outside lights were all on, allowing us to have a safe and well lit entry into the property. Top Shelf is beautifully and tastefully decorated, as well as well planned out for a vacation rental. The only thing I would add would be some games, puzzles or cards for inclement weather days. We found an issue with insects, but one call to Harris management and they had a pest control company out quickly to rectify the issue. Harris management was very responsive and they checked in occasionally to see that all was well, without being intrusive. I would rent this property again, and would absolutely recommend it to others. The fact that this was a pet friendly home made this a wonderful stay for the whole family. Thanks for a comfortable, relaxing stay!

Great for a big family, beautiful views

Perfect for my family! Enclosed porch with a beach view. Big open living area with fully functional kitchen (plenty of appliances). Quiet neighborhood, super clean. Plenty of room for 8 people. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house, beautiful beach, but...

This is a beautiful, brand new beach house. I was nervous about staying here as there were no prior reviews, but took a chance since it was brand new as of 11/2018. Prior to our arrival, I sent a couple inquiries via email to the Property Manager and received an automated reply that I needed to book the house to ask questions. Both times I replied I already had a reservation, and only then were my questions answered. Upon arrival, Sunday, Aug 11th, we pulled up to 3 garbage bins, stuffed full of trash that smelled horribly, they were right next to the staircase leading up to the house. I took a picture and emailed it to the property manager. I received a reply stating that I had to put the trash bins on the curbside on Wednesday as that was trash day. First impressions always leave a lasting impression. So my first impression was that someone didn't care enough about putting the trash bins out for collection prior to our arrival. Whether that was the renters prior to us or the property manager, it's still a poor reflection of the property manager. We reviewed the House Rules posted on the fridge, it said trash days were Monday and Thursday. I emailed the property manager again and asked for clarification, they replied that trash collection was still on summer hours, which meant that collection was on Wednesday and Saturday. I responded saying that if trash collection was on Saturday, that whomever was responsible for putting out the trash on the day before our arrival, didn't put out the bins. They replied that they'd speak with the Director of Guest Services to see what could be done, but never heard from them again. We put out the bins on Wednesday morning and on Friday when we departed for Saturday pick up. The layout of the home is quite nice. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom. The bathroom door to the bunk room does not close properly and several of the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen do not close properly either. The house could use some counter height bar stools for additional seating, pot holders, trivets, and a vacuum. I was also told there were no bbq grills on property, but there were two charcoal grills there. This house is about 20 - 30 mins away from Gulf Shores and not much around in the way of amenities, so if you like being in quiet seclusion, this is for you. Bring bug spray!!! We were all bit up horribly by sand flies. There is a lot of shrubbery and standing water nearby, so is perfect for bugs.
