After check-in, the property owner said if we bought 2 parking passes she would reimburse me for them. She explained her policies hadn't been updated on VRBO, but said since I had an email saying there was no extra fee for parking passes, she would uphold the email. We bought the parking passes, and she never paid us as she said she would. I sent screenshots to VRBO, who was kind and attempted to help multiple times by contacting her. Despite VRBO emailing her more than once, instructing her to reimburse fees as she had said she would, she didn't do so. Also, the contract was sent to us two hours before check-in. This could be a problem for those not comfortable with technology. I had to screenshot the contract and sign it with my finger (on my phone), then screenshot that to send as a file to property owner, in order to get the code for check-in. This would be easier for most travelers to get ahead of time, so it can be printed and read easier (rather than on a phone, traveling to a destination site), then signed to scan/email. The property itself is in a prime location. Directly on water/ocean view. Master bedroom bed could use updating. It squeaks when you sit or move. Master bathroom was huge. Other areas are nice, as well. Some supplies were broken, but we didn't need them, so that was fine. Fridge was broken. Told property manager as soon as we checked in. Was the next day before someone to showed up to fix it, but we put our food in cooler until then and the repair man was super nice!
