I rarely respond to these requests for online reviews. In this case, I'm very happy to do so.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise in so many ways. It's within walking distance to the airport though we chose to use their included shuttle service since it was early morning (and dark) when we left the hotel for the airport for our flight. After dark this is not a pedestrian friendly neighborhood. We arrived after dark and departed before sunrise so I can't speculate on a daylight walk.
The hotel is clean and modern and the welcome and check-in went smoothly with the great desk attendant Danillo (sp?). The room was clean, cool and spacious. We arrived hungry. We were told any dining options would be a 15+ walk away and then informed that the kitchen could prepare something for us. The menu was limited but our two choices arrived quickly, were freshly prepared and quite good.
In short, this hotel was a score for us and met every need. I should add too that I expected there to be the noise of aircraft overhead. We checked in about 7:30pm and out at 5:15am and I can't recall hearing even a single plane go overhead.
