I stayed at Hotel Las Americas, and while the hotel is clean and conveniently located near the airport, my overall experience was mixed.
One issue was the bathroom—each time I showered, water leaked out and created a puddle on the floor, which was inconvenient and felt unsafe.
Service was also inconsistent. When I requested additional bottled water, I was asked if I had already used the water provided in the room, which felt uncomfortable. I also requested an extra coffee packet for the in-room coffee maker and was told only one is allowed per day, which seemed unnecessarily restrictive.
Additionally, I left an item in the room for my sibling to pick up, but when he arrived it was missing. He had to report it, and staff eventually retrieved it, which was concerning.
The shuttle service is another downside—$10 for a ride of about five minutes felt very expensive.
Overall, the hotel has good basics, but improvements in maintenance, service flexibility, and pricing transparency would make a big difference.
