Perfect spot!
This is a wonderful place to stay in the charming village of Assos. Dot and Steve are great hosts, very welcoming and have a wealth of local knowledge. The studio apartment is tastefully decorated with thought given to every detail and comfort. We particularly enjoyed the terrace with amazing views of the pretty harbour just a few minutes walk away.

Katafygio Studios
Ideal for those looking for a nice relaxing place to stay with everything on hand without having to travel far. A well equipped apartment with nice views close to the beach, restaurants, mini-market and a wonderful bakery. Just right for those looking for quiet relaxing break.

Outstanding experience
From the moment that we checked in, we loved this place. Dot and Steve are very welcoming and gave us many suggestions of places to visit on the island. It is very helpful to have a rental car while staying in Assos. We ventured out most days to explore the beautiful beaches with warm turquoise water. The studio is absolutely lovely. The bed is very comfortable, something that we really appreciated. We stayed in studio #2 which we really enjoyed. The patio is a delightful place to oversee the town. There is a bakery just below the studio that we walked to each day and a small mini market. We loved our time there and highly recommend it.

Fabulous!
Dot and Steve were great hosts. There to meet us and on our departure and on hand whenever needed. Studio 1 is a delight. Loved the personal touches and the view of Assos bay from the balcony is wonderful. Assos itself is small but perfectly formed as they say - but if you like to get out and about car hire is essential. Great base for exploring the north of the island but we couldn’t resist a (long) trip to Mounda Beach in the south which is one of our favourites. Really can’t recommend Katafygio Studios enough - hopefully we’ll be back next year . Thanks Dot and Steve for a wonderful week

Great Stay

The most perfect studios at Katafygio, Assos
Dot and Steve have created the most perfect studios at Katafygio - every little detail and more has been considered, plus they are wonderful hosts. 2 mins from the sea, comfy bed, quiet location, beautifully decorated, lovely little touches everywhere. Simply amazing!

Perfect
We absolutely loved our stay at Katafygio Studios - Dot and Steve are so welcoming and the perfect hosts. Great communication before during and after our stay, there if you need them. They have made the very best of every corner of the space and decorated it beautifully. We didn't want for anything, other than another couple of weeks holiday! The bed is super comfy, the linen is wonderful, the towels soft, the kitchen well equipped and the extras much appreciated. The balcony had amazing views of both the mountains and the sea - and got the sun almost all day. Dot and Steve are also great for reliable recommendations of places to eat etc. Assos itself is a gem. We didn't hire a car but took a taxi to Fiskardo and hired a boat locally for a day sight seeing the quiet beaches only accessible by boat. It's a great place to stay in a beautiful little town.

Charmant petit Studio à Assos
Nous avons passé une trés agréable semaine à Assos à Katafygio Sudio. Le studio est tres mignon, joliment décoré et trés confortable (trés bonne literie, ce qui est rare en Grèce). La localisation est parfaite à quelques pas des restaurants mais au calme. La vue de la terrasse sur Assos est superbe. Assos est une base idéale pour visiter le nord de Cephalonie qui est magnifique. Nos hôtes, Steve et Dot nous ont trés bien accueillis et nous ont donné pleins d'informations précieuses pour visiter cette partie de l'île. Je recommande vivement

We return for very good reason…..
This was our third time at Katyfigio studios after an enforced break of 2 years. When we arrived to lovely little lights and lit lanterns a slate sign in shape of a heart said ‘Welcome home Paul and Caron’ . It was so lovely to be back . The studio was as beautiful as ever- with the attention to detail noticeable- crisp white sheets and fluffy towels, air con, and a mosquito bet which we didn’t need but others will welcome- the room with it’s attached perfect kitchen and bathroom complete the space.The shuttered windows open onto Assos bay. The terrace is spacious and private and we would often have a drink before dinner and breakfast sitting outside. The location of the studios is fantastic having not only one of the best views in Assos but also only a short walk int the village to the 3 restaurants, cafe, gift shops, supermarkets and bakery/coffee shop. Dot and Steve live above the studios and are willing to help with anything they can - it is a perfect place to relax and reset. Thanks Dot and Steve for another wonderful holiday!👌

Asos is just perfect!
We were given all the information we needed for both parking the car in the town and finding the property. Dot and Stephen were waiting to welcome us and show us how everything worked. Lovely room, bathroom, kitchenette and terrace. All we needed. Asos is small but that’s it’s charm. 5 tavernas to choose from,2 mini marts and a perfect little beach. We swam everyday, usually more than once which was easy as it was only 5 minutes walk from our terrace. Delicious bakery a few minutes down the steps so all in all - a super experience!

Seven days topping up on vitamin Sea
Fantastic hosts, communication couldn’t have been better, before our trip or durning our stay. Great convenient location for the island’s fabulous beaches. The feeling on arrival at the studio was as if I was entering a boutique hotel room .😍

Just returned from 10 days at Katafygio Studios. Absolutely wonderful in every way! Steve and Dot are the most welcoming and helpful hosts. In a perfect location just 2 minutes walk from the waterside tavernas in Assos. Quiet and peaceful - and spotlessly clean -with a heavenly view of the bay. Loved that it's only a short drive to Fiscardo and near so many glorious beaches. Also great having such lovely tavernas so close by. Just the loveliest place to stay - and so brilliant being able to hear the waves as you go to sleep. I can't recommend highly enough. I will definitely return.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt
Das Studio ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben alles makellos sauber vorgefunden. Es liegt nur ein paar Schritte vom kleinen, aber sympathischen Strand und Tavernen entfernt. Dot und Steve sind perfekte Gastgeber und hatten viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Jederzeit wieder!

What a sumptuous break.
The sun burst through the sky every day making the sea sparkle and warming us up in all ways. My boyfriend and I enjoyed long, lazy breakfasts on our terrace. Fresh figs, local cheese and juicy tomatoes helped us mull over our biggest challenge; what and where to eat that evening. The whole place strokes your senses. The sound of the sea first thing, the lush smell of pine trees on the way up to the castle. Vibrant flowers punctuate the town’s walls and streets. We will be savouring our time in Assos for months. Thank you Dot and Steve!

A perfect escape

Excellent in stay in Assos
Lovely welcome from Dot and Steve when we arrived in Assos. The studio apartment has an amazing view down to Assos with the restaurants and beach 2 minutes walk away to the village. The apartment is ideal. Very clean with all the amenities you would expect to enjoy your holiday. Beautiful beaches and hidden coves are a must visit. Like coming home!!
This was our second visit to the same studio (2).It was as magical as the year before- the drive up from the airport a bit more familiar, the drive down to the jewel of Asos and arrival at the studio- welcomed like old friends by Dot and Steve who had prepared the studio beautifully.We arrived in the evening- Steve had booked a table by the water at our favourite restaurant Nefeli- Anait and we were back in our happy place where we stayed for the week- venturing out to Hellenic Bistro at the top of the hill and to a beach beyond Myrtos which though beautiful is now much busier with beach beds and a beach bar.Other than that we were happy to have breakfast on the terrace and amble down to beautiful Asos bay. There are a handful of restaurants and the vibe is laid back not rowdy. Hire a car if you want to explore the island.You might decide not to.This is more than a holiday- thanks to the attention to detail and the geniality of Dot and Steve. This is not our last visit as you might have guessed.

Absolutely lovely studio with stunning views across Assos from the terrace.
We have used Home and Away properties for about 4 years for several holidays, all with great success as the standard of accommodation has been consistently good, but Katafygio Studios excelled beyond the best we have experienced. The combination of the beautiful accommodation, along with its location, and the village of Assos itself is an absolute winner. The owners Dot and Steve have put the utmost care and thought into renovating the properties and this ensures that the accommodation is very comfortable and well-equipped, not to mention the many thoughtful extras such as the pretty night lights on the terrace to welcome our night time arrival, shopping bags, packs of cards, extra small soaps and shampoo etc. All this ensured our stay in Katafygio Studios was absolutely perfect. The kitchen had all we required for making breakfasts and simple meals. There are good local tavernas and cafes (all about 5 mins walk away) in which to eat if you don't wish to prepare food. We did a bit of both, as eating and relaxing on the terrace with the stunning view was one of the highlights of our stay. Dot and Steve are excellent hosts, nothing is too much trouble. It's all the small lovely things and the attention to detail that makes it so special. We hope to be back and stay again in the future!

Review of Katafygio Apartments - Assos, Kefalonia.
The owners Steve and Dot are lovely people and while being conscious of our privacy could not do enough for us. We lost luggage in transit in Berlin (Tegel) but they covered our losses in every respect until we were reunited with our cases. Their property is arguably the best location in Assos situated above the village centre (so no noise) but with an incredible view across the water to the other side of the bay and in close proximity(1 minute walk) to the Tavernas around the wharf area. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed which contributed to a relaxing and very memorable holiday. Our hosts went to a great deal of trouble to ensure we had everything that we needed and provided us with information regarding local hot spots which enabled us to access beaches, in particular, that I doubt we would ever have found otherwise. If you are looking for a relaxed holiday in Greece, the island of Kefalonia and Katafygio Studios in Assos make a great combination. We gave it 10/10 Mike & Rosie

The property was overlooking the little bay at Assos. Their was an attention to detail. Such as tea & coffee, a small bag of “ just in case you’ve forgotten to pack it”. Very clean. Balcony with table and relaxing chairs.

An Ideal Place for Two
Tastefully decorated. Special thoughtful touches. For example a bag of 'just in case ' full of items you may have forgotten. Dot and Corkey were the ideal hosts: friendly and knowledgeable; happy to chat; happy to leave us alone. A great place for two: close to the square in beautiful Assos with its restaurant and bar but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. So if you want a quiet place to chill for a week, or even two, this is the place to stay.

A little gem in a perfect location!

Perfect
ASOS is an absolute gem,a dream really somewhere that you hope to find but doubt that you will.The journey there is amazing in itself and the village is quiet but has enough restaurants and bars to keep you satisfied.the bay is not tidal so very safe and the water is so warm.I cannot praise our studio apartment enough again it is everything that you could wish for,spotless ,comfortable,stylish with so many personal touches and the owners are such lovely people.GO.you will not be disappointed.

A wonderful property with super hosts in a spectacular setting!!
Steve and Dot were tremendous hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The studio was beautifully presented with outstanding views over Assos Bay. Every thing we needed and more was present to make our stay special with so many classy little touches. Assos is a beautiful location. People are friendly. We had a lovely relaxing stay and didn't want to leave.

A wonderful oasis of calm. Everything you could ask for. Location amazing. Rooms spacious, airy and beautifully decorated. Romantic and super comfortable. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Beautiful, comfortable haven in beautiful Assos
We were met by the owners Dot and Steve and given a warm welcome- lovely little personal touches on arrival.Katafygio 2 was beautiful- the door opened into a wonderful main bedroom very tastefully and comfortably furnished .The room was spacious with plenty of storage. The kitchen is galley style but well thought out with everything you'd need.The bathroom was also very nicely decorated and designed. Outside is a lovely terrace with lounge chairs and a bistro table and chairs. We ate breakfast here most mornings- the view down onto Assos bay is stunning. The studios are very well positioned- just a few minutes walk from the village- 3 restaurants, a beach bar, 2 mini- markets, 2 shops and a beautiful calm and clear bay for swimming. You do need a car unless you don't intend to leave the village- it's a steep drive of hairpin bends but you get used to it. When we did venture out it was to Fiscardo, Myrtos beach and Agia Fimia where we hired a small boat for the day. The village is very relaxed and the Nefeli Anaid restaurant was our favourite. The people are very friendly and there is a good mix of different nationalities which adds to the atmosphere. But my greatest praise goes to Dot and Steve for their hospitality and the opportunity to stay in their beautiful studio.See you next year!!!

Superb!
Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful little village. Katafygio studios very comfortable & attention to detail second to none. Incredibly well equipped & bed the most comfortable one I’ve ever slept in away from home! Steve & Dot the owners are very hospitable & on hand to deal with any query or problem you may have. Highly recommended!

Lovely studio in fantastic location!
Lovely place to stay in the beautiful village of Assos. Just 5 minutes or less from the village centre and the beach. Finished to a high standard with attention to detail and even a glass of wine!. Steve and Dot are great hosts, always on hand if you have any questions or need advice.

Small corner of paradise
We did enjoy our stay in Steve & Dot studio. The little studio is full of contort you need. The air conditioning was chilling down the place from 34 degrees outside. Bed was super comfortable and the view from the terrace was beautiful. Car park is 50 mt away from the property with plenty of space all day long and the little beach is just 20 steps away from the studio. Do not chose this place if you want a party holiday, but it's the right place for a relaxing and stress free time. Surely we will go back there! Cris & Chris

Great location, beautifully finished - everything we needed.
Steve and Dot were great hosts, and have furnished the studio beautifully. They had thought of every small detail which made our stay even more enjoyable. The studio is perfectly situated to capture amazing views of the harbour, and is within a couple of minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. We'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quaint, relaxing property in Assos.
