All-inclusive konsept som ikke fungerer
Dette er ikke et 5 stjernes hotell. Altfor stort til å kunne levere på det. Restaurant konseptet fungerte ikke. De selger seg på at de har 6 restauranter, flere ala carte og Fine-dining. Disse restaurantene måtte bestilles en uke i forveien ellers ble det ikke bord. Det var det ingen informasjon om på forhånd. Når vi omsider fikk bord var det mer set-menues enn ala carte, og veldig skuffende kvalitet og service. Kanskje med unntak av den Asiatiske uten navn. Kun frossene råvarer. Ikke engang fersk fisk som alle restauranter i Kos Town hadde tilgang til. Den enorme hovedrestauranten var buffet konsept både Frokost, Lunch, Middag. I praksis var dette hotellet et all inclusive resort, med buffet som standard. Den store Tavernaen ved bassenget var også en slags lunchbuffet/cafe-restaurant, med masse kø og lite utvalg, med svært varierende service. Håpløst konsept. Frokost-bufferen fungerte bra. I våre to uker spiste vi kun 5 middager på hotellet og er svært glad for at vi kun hadde kjøpt bed & breakfast! Rommene trenger oppgradering. Ble bygget i en helt annen tid. Særlig badet var utdatert med en slags dusj i badekaret som ble svært ukomfortabelt når vi var 4 voksne mennesker som delte en to roms Luxury Suite med felles bad. Fasilitetene på resorten var fine. Mange store og fine basseng. Flott og velholdt hageanlegg og fine bygninger på hele området. Stranden var bra hvis man liker stenstrand. Hotellet ligger svært usentralt. Ingenting i umiddelbar nærhet.

Concerning the star classification of the hotel, it should be pointed out, that our hotel has been certified by Greek Ministry of Tourism according to national standards. Regarding the ala carte reservations, we would like to explain the situation to you. Our ala carte restaurants have different concepts ( mediterranean, hot stone, traditional Greek and asian ), so that our guests can have a more variety during their stay. As we want to help as many guests as possible, while providing an exceptional service, we have a reservation system. We always encourage our guests to book a few days in advance, so that they can book at the time and place they prefer. Moreover, we would like to point out, that our hotel buys for many years from local suppliers, so that the products are local and of good quality. Nice resort
Overall we had a good stay at the Grecotel. Only downside: the beds were quite old and uncomfortable, but it seems they were in the process of changing those. When we complained about our bed, they came and installed a new one (which was much, much better) in very short time. Also, some of the decor in the rooms were fairly old, and the shower head looked like it had been there since 1976. These are things you don't expect from a 5 star resort. Negatives aside (yes, the hotel is a bit old, but otherwise ...): The outside looks beautiful and the gardens are really nicely kept. The hotel also has its own beach with plenty of sunbeds. It has a well equipped gym and also overall a nice feel to it. However, the surrounding area is pretty vast, so you will need a scooter or a bike to get into Kos town (about 4 km). However, there is a taverna right outside of the hotel, which we can highly recommend. Taverna Romeo. Romeo and his family are some of the nicest people we have met. Romeo himself is the friendliest and most attenative restaurant owner you could ever meet. Go there and you won't be dissapointed!

Fantastisk frokost, best for barnefamilier
Fantastisk frokost. Fantastisk service. Fine fasiliteter. Mye barnefamilier og mange opplevelsestilbud til barn. Dersom dere er et par på romantisk ferie uten barn bør du sjekke ut nabohotellet, som er et 5 stjerners hotel kun for voksne. Anbefaler dessuten restauranten over gata: Romeo's Taverna. God og billig mat, og en veldig hyggelig innehaver/servitør (Romeo).

Absolutt supert. Ingen vil angre på det oppholdet her. Strengt tatt behøver man ikke engang å forlate hotellet. 5 stjernes mat og drikke. All inclusive er absolutt å anbefale. Hotellet har et upper class preg så du vil treffe mye rike folk som drikker med måte :) Have a nice stay

Fantastisk hotellkompleks, med god service og bra standard. Restauranter/barer veldig bra. Eneste minus var sengene, de var forferdelig harde. "Heldigvis" var vi der bare en uke.

Fantastisk sted
Et veldig fint hotell, med super beliggenhet for sol og bad. Vi hadde bestilt rom med sjøutsikt, men ble oppgradert til bungalow med privat basseng rett ved stranden, utrolig deilig. Romservice var kjempebra ;o) Anbefales, vil gjerne tilbake. Et lite minus var ustabil wi fi, men det var så flott at det gjorde ikke så mye.

En perfekt uke!
Vi var tre jenter som dro til Kos i seks dager. Grecotel Imperial Kos kan anbefales alle og enhver, det passer for alle aldre og alle typer ferier. Hotellet er kjempeflott og servicen er blant den beste jeg har blitt tilbudt noen gang. For eksempel fikk vi et midlertidig hotellrom gratis når vi ankom midt på natten, selv om vi ikke hadde bestilt rom før dagen etter. Vi fikk også fritt nyte hotellet hele dagen etter utsjekking, som vi satte veldig pris på med våre ubeleilige flytider. Vi dro som ungdommer flest til Kos for å sjekke ut utelivet, og på Grecotel var det faktisk ikke et problem. Nå skal det sies at vi aldri festet på hotellet og her var stille og rolige, men vi fikk iallefall ingen klager over å komme hjem tidlig på morgenen-midt på natten. Avstanden til byen var så stor at man var avhengig av taxi, men med så billige taxipriser fant ikke vi dette et problem. Dessuten var det veldig deilig å bo unna Kos by, fordi Grecotel kunne tilby oss en stille, behagelig dag på stranden i motsetning til det bråkete strandlivet i byen. Vi var også de eneste ungdommene som dro ut på natten, så det skal legges merke til at dette ikke er et partyhotell. Maten på hotellet var fantastisk, og vi valgte å spise nesten hvert måltid på hotellet. Betjeningen var alltid hyggelig og det fantes ingen problemer de ikke kunne hjelpe oss med. Med det vil jeg takke Grecotel Imperial Kos for en fantastisk, deilig ferie, vi kommer garantert tilbake hit til neste år!

The hotel has everything you could need and staff are always helpful and friendly. The food is amazing and lots of options. Kos Town is walking distance but there is also a bus stop right outside and electric scooters to hire which are cheap and easy to use. The pools are really nice with lots of sunbeds available and the beach is attached to the hotel. Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Hier muss man suchen, das man was findet! Es ist ein riesiger Komplex für viele Urlauber! Viele Nationalitäten unter einem Dach! Das Klientel ist aber gehoben! Essen ist Top! Die Themen-Restaurants sind auch sehr gut! Die Preise (falls man kein All-in hat) schon recht hoch! Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend, trotz der teilweisen immer noch unentspannten Gäste! Die Liegen-Problematik ist auch hier gegeben, aber am Pool ist immer Personal welches hilft! Es wird zwar mit Schildern darauf hingewiesen, das keine Liegen reserviert werden dürfen und Handtücher eingesammelt werden, habe das aber nie beobachten können! Wir haben All-In vor Ort nachgebucht, welches mit Kinder und den Preisen ratsam ist. Lieder wurden bei Abreise die Getränke vom Anreise-Vormittag, obwohl für den Tag All-In mit gebucht wurde, zur Bezahlung ausgewiesen. Schon komisch, das die Buchung mit Zeitstempel und nicht tagesweise gelten. Hier wurde auf eine Bezahlung bestanden! Egal, wollte mich nicht am letzten Tag aufregen. Pools sind Salzwasser, ausser der Kleinkinder-Pool. Am Hauptpool den ganzen Tag Beschallung, aber am Ruhe-Pool wirklich Ruhe. Wir haben uns für den Strand entschieden, da hier kaum Liegen reserviert waren. In machen Bereichen müsste man mal reparieren. Aber, alles in allem ein rund um gelungener Urlaub! Kann dieses Hotel mit ruhigem Gewissen weiter empfehlen!!

Sehr guter Gesamteindruck
Auf der schönen Terrasse konnte nicht ohne Wespen gefrühstückt werden. Sehr schade. Die Qualität und Auswahl des Buffett waren optimal. Im Zimmer muss in der Badewanne geduscht werden. Temperatureinstellung des heissen Wassers war etwas schwierig. Die Aussenanlage der Fitnessgeräte ist sehr gut.

Great exterior, but terrible food
Phenomenal architecture, but food was terrible, pools were freezing, and for some reason the buildings by the left (closer to the beach volleyball area smelled terribly, like improper sewage disposal).

Concerning the food, we are surprised to read, that you did not like our dishes made with extra care from our culinary team, which has received many positive reviews. Nonetheless, please be so kind and contact us, what exactly you did not like, so that we can take it into consideration. Regarding the outdoors pools, please note, that we do not advertise them as heated, as the air temperature is high. In September the day temperature was on average 24.4 Celsius degrees. As for the smell, it should be pointed out, that our facility is connected with the public sewage system. However, during September we did not have any problem with that. Nonetheless, please stay reassured, that we will inform our assigned colleagues in maintenance department. We would like to thank you once more for your review. Die Anlage ist super . Frühstück super Auswahl. Für jeden etwas bei. Getränke sehr teuer. Unser Zimmer war dicht an der Küche, dadurch immer Küchengerüche im Zimmer. Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Die Pumpe vom Spar ist von 7:00 Uhr morgens bis Mitternacht sehr laut gelaufen. Wir mussten immer das Zimmer geschlossen halten.

We are more than saddened to hear that your holidays were marked by a such unpleasant incident. Nevertheless, we would like to reassure you that our Management Team takes such issues seriously as they target not only our valuable guests, but our Group’s reputation. First and foremost, we do find it quite unjust to reach such conclusions without any substantiated proof or facts. Secondly, all the interested Departments of our Hotel have already started our formal procedure of internal investigation along with our Security. Until now, nothing was found. Nevertheless, we have to present all the points of this case in order to shed some light on this matter. On the day of your departure -09.10.2019- you called our Reception to report that your jewelry were missing soon after your check-out from our hotel. Immediately our Housekeeping was informed in order to search for these lost items, but nothing was found. Furthermore, the Housekeeper found your safe - where all valuable objects should be kept - open and empty, which is something that you were aware of, otherwise you would have reported it upon your check-out and not soon after that. Although we have not yet managed to find your lost jewelry, we will still continue with our investigation and as soon as we have any updates you will be informed. Would Visit Again!
Grecotel is a BEAUTIFUL property! it has many pools varying for your needs. Its a kid-friendly hotel, but not designed exclusively for kids. Of note, like many other beaches on the island, this is a rocky beach, water shoes recommended! Also, if you do book on Hotels.com or a 3rd party site and don't opt in for all-inclusive, its worth exploring, as the hotel itself doesn't have much to offer since its situated away from most major towns.

Schöner Strand, allerdings wie oft in Griechenland sehr grobe Steine. Leider richt es je nach Wetter und Wind etwas stark nach der naheliegenden Kläranlage. Am Strand unten richt man davon nichts.

Very beautiful hotel , on the beach . Lovely clean pools . Amazing staff . Tasty food and drinks. Exceptional kids entertainment . The only problem is a smell coming from outside the hotel but the hotel is dealing with this issue . Check with the hotel before booking . Other than this , possibly one of the best in the world for families .

Ein Absolutes Paradis
Dieses Hotel ist die schönste Anlage, in der ich je war. Ich komme selbst aus der Branche und kenne viele World leading Hotels, für mich gehört dies definitiv dazu!Hier stimmt einfach alles!Man wird herzlichst mit einem leckeren Willkomensdrunk begrüßt und dann von persönlich vom Guest Relation zum Zimmer begleitet! Ein Wein,Wasser und Obst stehen in Zimmer. Die Poollandschaft ist traumhaft! Alle Restaurants sind sehr schön und man sitzt wirklich überall romantisch am Wasser!Das Essen ist der Wahnsinn! Sehr vielfältig und sehr lecker! Unabhängig von dem absoluten Traumflair, möchte ich am meisten hervorheben, dass das, was den Aufenthalt so extrem besonders gemacht hat, ALLE Angestellten waren! Ich habe noch nie so herzliche, gutgelaunte,fleißige Angestellten erlebt! Man fühlt sich richtig zu Hause und willkommen! Mein Vater kam ins Krankenhaus und Katarina(Guestrelation), Eva(Rezeption) und sogar der Hotelmanager Herr Bisas waren in dieser Situation meine Helferengel! Sie haben mir so sehr geholfen und mich aufgefangen, dass war wirklich was ganz besonderes! Dieser Urlaub wird meinem Vater und mir immer unvergesslich schön in Erinnerung bleiben und das vor allem wegen all dieser tollen Menschen! Danke!

Tweede keer dit jaar genoten van de schitterende accommodatie van Grecotel. Kamers zijn wel wat verouderd maar neemt niet weg dat het een echte aanrader is.

Needs improvement
We stayed here for 5 days and were not quite happy with the service. The rooms are old even though the furniture looks modern. The see is not rough but it gets deep quite quickly so you need to watch out. The bed was uncomfortable. We were given a room that had a door connecting to the next room, so would hear pretty much everything going on the next door. When we asked for a room change because of the noise we were told that this was not an adults only hotel and asked to come back next day. When I expressed my frustration by saying we would not be spending our holiday with regular trips to the reception every day, a guy from the guest services came and talked to us. He called someone and spoke in Greek for a while after which he offered us an upgrade (!), which would be available only the next day after breakfast as the guest occupying the room would leave early morning. We went to the reception after breakfast and were shown the room by a staff member to see if we like it. The room was not cleaned as promised. Yet it didn’t feel like an upgrade as it was only larger than our room but looked older. We ended up staying in our room. The breakfast was really nice, and the staff in the restaurant tried their best to please the customers. I didn’t bother to fill the satisfaction survey we were sent on our last days as I didn’t feel that it mattered to the hotel anyway. Overall, nice food and pools but need investment and improvement in the quality of service.

Bel hôtel bien situé
Hotel bien situé à 5 minutes de la ville en voiture. La plage est sympa, les nombreuses piscines sont très bien Le petit déjeuner est génial. La thalassothérapie est jolie mais pas terrible. Les chambres sont grandes et une bouteille de vin avec des fruits sont offert à notre arrivée. L animation est discrète mais quotidienne Bref qualité prix excellent

Absolutely stunning resort, we could not believe our luck when we saw how good it was for the price we paid. Yes the gorgeous swimming pools are filled with sea water, but when they are that nice you don't really care. Then onto the breakfasts, absolutely anything you could possibly want for breakfast was on offer, all very tasty and excellently made. The evening bar was stylish and classy with some pleasant entertainment, not necessarily my cup of tea, but very nice in the background. The staff are amazing and if you needed any help, they would do anything they could do to sort it out. Will definitely be returning again!

Had a really lovely week at the hotel. Great staff, picturesque setting although a very stoney beach. Perfect hotel for quiet holiday close to the pretty Kos Town
