lovely hotel, great service
All in all, it was a good choice quality and pricewise. The hotel looked well-kept and had its distinct character unlike sterile business hotels. The room was beautiful: spacious and clean, every detail with a nice touch and an almost impeccable style. There were fine furnishings and air condition. It was a pleasure to stay there. The windows were facing a pleasant inner garden with a small fountain. The double bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with modern amenities, but no bathtub. There was complimentary water and tea/coffee in the room. The free wi-fi functioned very well. The staff was all in all very polite, friendly and helpful. The receptionists spoke English well and were very professional and service-minded. At the check-in, they offered a drink on the house. They made sure that each guest was taken care of. There was even a free laundry service. Regretfully some clothes were missing when handed back but the issue was sorted out. The breakfast was served in the inner garden: a standard breakfast tray was brought to each table. The only things one could choose oneself were yoghurt and fruits, but one could also have bacon and eggs on order. Such a limited breakfast was not impressive compared to a buffet, but the fresh pressed orange juice was a nice touch. The location was perfect, in a quiet street and close to everything.

Excellent!
Whenever I will be back in Rethymnon I will stay at this hotel. Excellent service, excellent room, excellent location and an excellent breakfast. Only regret is that we never got to use the jacuzzi we had in the bathroom... NEST TIME!!!

Atmosfære og perfekt beliggende i gamlebyen.
Vi hadde ett alle tiders ophold på 25 dager i perioden november /desember. Hotellet er opprinnelig fra 1600 tallet, privatbolig ombygd til hotell. Tykke steinmur vegger, og mye av opprinnelig byggeskikk er beholdt, intim skjermet uteplass hvor en kan innta frokost og forfiskninger. Renhold og skifte av håndklær daglig, frisk frukt og kjeks står klar hver dag. Athina, Maria og Aggelina i resepsjonen gjør alt for at oppholdet skal bli vellykket, de ordner det meste og møter en blide og imøtekommende.Perfekt beiggende sjermet for trafikkstøy, kort veg til utesteder, butikker i gamlebyen, til strand ca 10 min. spasertur. Anbefales for de som liker stille fredelig ferie, med ekte Gresk atmosfære. Rommene er individuelle, alle forskjellige innredet. Vårt hadde to bad, ett med badekar.

Idyllisk sted, svært sentralt
Hotellet lå idyllisk plassert midt i gamlebyen. Det var kort vei til alle viktige severdigheter i byen, og var et nydelig sted. Hotellet hadde ikke basseng, men det var ikke så langt til stranden, og rommene var godt kjølt ned av air-condition. Utrolig hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personale. Helt grei rengjøring. Man fikk mye for pengene! Absolutt et sted verd å besøke!

Veldig hyggelig mottakelse av Maria, som straks viste villighet til å være hjelpsom. Gårdhagen er skikkelig vakker - akkurat som på bildene og rommet vårt likeså. Ganske stort rom også. God og veldig hyggelig rengjøringspersonale. Koselig og grei frokost m. gresk stil. Hvis en liker seg i gamlebyen er beliggenheten helt perfekt. Drar gjerne dit igjen

Casa Vitae, Rethymnon
Casa Vitae hadde perfekt beliggenhet i gamle byn. Passer for deg som ikke er avhengig å ha strand rett ved. Ca 15 min å gå til stranden. Ligger i en stille sidegate og har en fantastisk koselig bygård der man spiser frokost. Arkitekturen og stemmningen på hotellet er utrolig skjønn. Vil anbefale alle å bo i den gamle delen av byn istedenfor ved stranden som ikke har den sjarmen i det hele tatt. Casa Vitae kan anbefales på det sterkeste!

Vi bodde 2 netter på Casa Vitae, mai 10. Rommet var kjempefint (vi bodde på et av de dyreste rommene), lekkert bad med boblekar og malte engler i taket. Veldig komfortabel seng. Frokosten var forholdsvis enkel, men fullt ut godkjent, og det beste var at den ble inntatt på en veldig hyggelig og rolig gårdsplass. Virkelig egnet til å senke pulsen! Betjeningen var veldig hyggelige og blide. Hotellet ligger i en rolig gate i gamlebyen, med kort vei til restauranter og shopping. Litt langt unna stranden, så det kan være lurt å ha en leiebil. Det går ikke an å parkere ved hotellet, men jeg tror vi gikk max 300 meter fra parkeringsplassen. Dette er et hotell jeg gjerne bor på ved en senere anledning!

Exceptional charming boutique hotel and courtyard
Stayed the second week in October for 2 days at this charming hotel. Annamaria was very welcoming upon our arrival offering us a welcoming drink in the gorgeous courtyard while we checkin and bags brought up to our rooms for us. The breakfast was fantastic having everything you could want from pastries, cheese and cold cuts, assortment of breads and eggs made to order. The location is quiet and has everything closely. The room was unique and well equipped with bottled water, tea/coffee and a cookie, robe and slippers plus a fantastic jetted massage shower ! Annamarie took care of all our needs whether it be recommending dinner restaurants, transportation questions getting the bus to Agios Nickolaos or prior communications by email answered promptly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others !

Gorgeous small luxury hotel in heart of old town
Luxurious small hotel, our room was absolutely beautiful with a lovely spa bath and a balcony where we could sit and drink a g&t and admire the lovely courtyard. Breakfast was very good too and the service was excellent everyone was so friendly and passionate about the area

Quite location in the old town, convenient to shopping and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Stayed in the Rodon room. Wish they had better lights by the bed for reading, but that's being picky. Parking is nearby and a short walk.

Great stay in the heart of Rethymno
We stayed 2 nights at Case Vitae. Excellent location, very quiet but 5 minutes from the heart of the old town. Easy to park close by if you have a car. The staff is very welcoming. Excellent breakfast served on a very nice patio. Would definitely go there again.

Everything was excellent, the room was beautiful and unique. Only problem we had was finding parking. Once that was solved the stay was perfect.

Luxurious hotel in the heart of the old town
The hotel room is located in the old town of Rethymno and the room was very elegant. It comes with a jacuzzi and very comfortable bed. It was spacious and the breakfast was great. The staff are very helpful and polite. We had a really pleasant stay in this hotel.

Fantastic stay
If you are reading this review then you probably want to know why you should book it: 1. Fantastic location on a quaint/quiet street in the old town of Rethymnon 2. Spacious, elegant rooms with everything you should require (inc. a jacuzzi bath!) 3. Staff are friendly and helpful and catered for all our needs during our stay 4. Breakfast is great! A choice of cereals/toast and condiments with juice, tea/coffee delivered to your table along with ham/cheeses and pastries. Eggs ordered (no charge). 5. Outside courtyard is lovely to have a coffee and relax (as well as eating breakfast) 6. Value for money ... quite a few other boutique hotels charging a lot more! 7. Awards... rated very highly among booking companies .... I could go on! The only negatives for me were the wi-fi speed, which was manageable but at times it wasn't fast enough for uploading photos/watching films etc. and the TV channels on the TV.

Lovely hotel, great location, lovely breakfast
They gave us very good instructions as to where to park, and then it was an easy 5 minute walk to the hotel, all flat so no problem with our luggage. Breakfast was lovely served under cover in the courtyard. We had fresh cooked eggs and plates of pastries and fruit and yoghurt. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

The best spot we stayed, and oh the shower!
We stayed in six different places through our trip in Greece, and this was definitely our favourite. Mariana at the front counter is so lovely, and is the true host. She was very helpful and the service was superb. They serve a wonderful and huge breakfast each morning in the beautiful garden. The location is perfect and close to everything. The room is comfortable and quiet. And oh, did I mention the shower?! I actually think it was the nicest shower we've ever had. So much pressure and numerous jets, it sounds funny but was kind of a highlight!! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in this this. Enjoy!

First time in Crete, this hotel made us welcome and was a great base to explore the city and to drive out into the central part of the island. Their location was the best, in the narrow streets of the old town but just off the main area to be quiet at night. We feel we got exactly what we wanted from the hotel, and they had a great attitude to helping whenever we needed anything.

Very comfortable, enjoyable stay at amazing old town house. Fantastic location. Close to every attractive place but at the same time not in the middle of big crowds. Super service both at the reception and breakfast.
