This is definitely not what I would call a beach front resort. The pictures online are misleading. They showed rooms which were better than ours. The furniture was old and worn. Extremely small. The bathroom was smaller than a closet. We were there because we had a sister who was dying and when needed to keep in contact with all of the relatives. Our phones did not have service and there wasn’t a telephone in the room to call out. We were there for approximately 15 minutes before we left. Didn’t even touch anything. I explained to the “resort” management that we had to be able to make phone calls given our situation and that we would like a refund for the two nights as we did not stay there. I have never been to a hotel, motel or resort that didn’t have a phone in the room. This should have been notated in the “resorts” description. They refused to give us a refund saying that it was non-refundable and that they offered us an alternative which was for us to go back and stay there in the same room with no phone. That is not an alternative. Very uncaring and sympathetic management. Let me just say, you get what you pay for and sometimes even less.
