Beautiful provincial style villa with romantic, secluded environment. Panoramic views of the sea and hills from Nice to Saint Tropez. Large lounge and dining area with American kitchen, Terrace overlooking pool, views, and garden. three very spacious double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a separate large shower room and toilet. Sleeps six. There is a sun terrace and pergola by the infinity pool. Please note I have two healthy independent cats who would appreciate dried food and water in bowls and the occasional cuddle. Villa is Ideal for a health retreat with plenty of space to exercise, a juicer and peaceful environment to meditate, write or paint. Organic food can be delivered if required and there is a forest 2 mins walk away for jogging. Could arrange to do Creating health, meditation and yoga classes for a single or couple by prior arrangement. Sky TV, telephone and internet connection available. Although in a peaceful beautiful environment the villa is only 5 mins from Grasse, 10 min from the beautiful hill village of Valbonne with many restaurants and 30 mins from Cannes and Nice. There is a beautiful golf course in Opio about 5 minutes drive away and a Club Med holiday resort that offers a daily rate if you would like to use their facilities including health spa, large swimming pool, tennis courts, and restaurants. There is also a tennis club in Opio just down the road and several fitness studios. For the ardent shoppers Cannes, Nice and a huge shopping complex known as Cap 3000 and Polygon are all within half an hour's drive and all have a wonderful selection of the latest fashions in clothes and other goods. All around are great hiking possibilities and there is a paragliding school near Gourdon about 10 mins drive away. There are plenty of boating, sailing and canoeing possibilities in all the sea resorts close by including Lac St Cassien in the mountains of the Tanneron. There are several popular Ski resorts within 2-4 hours drive away .Art can be found everywhere in the hills, villages, and towns and it is a sightseer's photographic paradise.. There are a number of painting and drawing schools close by and plenty of dance schools for ballroom dancing and salsa classes. For those on a healing retreat, I have many contacts for health food shops, bio dance and meditation classes, massage, and other healing practitioners and seminar possibilities. There is even an excellent French college in Cannes that has very good rates and runs courses all year round.

A house for the senses. Lavender and Rosemary lined steps lead up to the blue shuttered house with spectacular view across the hills to the sea. A cat asleep in the sun. Sit by the pool or up on the terrace and take in this little slice of paradise.

The villa was everything we could have dreamed of. We found ourselves spending the vast majority of our vacation just lounging about instead of going out just because we felt so at peace there. Penny was amazing; communicative and helpful with anything we needed. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you again for making our honeymoon as special as it could be.

We had a great stay at Penny’s place. It is in a beautiful location, we were wowed by the views and enjoyed eating alfresco most nights looking out at the moon rising over the sea. The villa has plenty of character and the pool was lovely to jump into especially as there was a heatwave! You need a car though as it is a steep climb up to the top of the hill! We would definitely stay here again, as there is so much to do and see. Penny was a very welcoming host, giving us tips on the best places to go.

The property details were spot on, it was exactly as described. Penny was a great host, quick to respond to questions. She gave us lots of tips on places to visit which we really appreciated. We loved the villa, it was very homely and the two cats were an added bonus. We sat out on the balcony a lot to enjoy the views and made good use of the pool. You definitely need a car here which was fine for us. It was only a 5 minute drive to get croissants in the morning!

Not what we expected

The villa has magnificent views towards the Med, however could have benefitted from a professional cleaning service prior to our arrival. In over 20 years of using Villas from VRBO and similar, this is the first Villa we have rented which is clearly the owners home rather than a dedicated rental property. Although the description does reference 2 healthy independent cats, it's not uncommon to see cats at most resort villas, however you realise that you have signed up to being a cat sitter once Penny has given you the tour of the property. Dried food and water kept topped up along with a morning and an evening tinned food regime. We are not cat people but if you are, you'll no doubt feel at home. Also, be prepared to break out the watering can.....lots of pot plants inside and out that need regular watering. Something I do at home but again, didn't realise we signing up for the same on our holiday.Our main concern however was that once the final payment had been made a couple of weeks before the trip, Penny told us that she would be staying 'in the self contained studio alongside house for one night' as catching a flight the following day. This came across as a separate accommodation from the villa, however it became apparent that it was bedroom 3 which is in the villa. So our final gripe is that we did not sign upto a house share for the first day and night of our villa holiday. This spooked my wife and I was certainly not comfortable with the arrangement.

Incredible View

Watching the sunrise was my favorite thing about this property. Incredible views! We traveled through France for a couple of weeks by car and stayed several places. Hands down the BEST shower! Lots of room and Penny is the sweetest. She gave us great ideas for site seeing. If you like pets she has 2 friendly cats, Minnie and Vintie. We found it easy to park the car in the garage. Wish the weather would have permitted using the pool but it was too cold. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting the south of France!

Gorgeous villa with outstanding views!

Beautiful little villa high up on the hills outside Grasse. We sat outside on the veranda every evening enjoying the view with our wine and appies after long days sight seeing. Even the friendly felines made us feel welcome. One note, we had a larger suv for 5 adults and the parking getting into the garage was a little tight.

The perfect location

Penny was a fabulous host to us- the property was clean and well- situated, we were very comfortable. The location for us was convenient as well- quiet neighborhood, scenic views, close to our friends' home. A note for other travelers- the drive up involves some tight turns, so be prepared. That said, the destination is worth the climb! We had no issues at all. She was as accommodating as could be, and we will gladly stay with her again. Thank you Penny!

An excellent holiday

We had a great stay at our villa, it was hot weather so the pool was very welcome. The two cats that live at the villa are lovely and we had some great cuddles. From the balcony you can see out to the sea and we even saw fireworks one night. Penny the host met us for check in and kindly gave us suggestions of places to visit during our stay. We would highly recommend this villa.

Lovely retreat with fabulous views

The property has an outstanding setting and had everything that we needed. The views are second to none and the pool was much appreciated with the hot weather and the evenings were pleasant given the extra elevation. Communication with Penny was clear and attentive.

Idyllisch gelegen, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und mit wunderschöner Aussicht

Das liebevoll eingerichtete Haus ist im Grünen und sehr idyllisch gelegen - die Nachbarn sind nicht zu sehen und kaum zu hören. Die Küche war für uns komplett ausgestattet - das Fehlen einer Mikrowelle hat uns nicht gestört. Die mit im Haus lebenden Katzen durften wir füttern - sehr zur Freude unserer Tochter. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt einmal wieder.

Peaceful beautiful retreat

We enjoyed our time with our 3 girls very much. We loved having the breakfast and dinner on the balcony and enjoying the view. Penny was very kind and helpful. The home is spacious and perfect for families are a group of friends.

Fantastic stay, beautiful house, amazing views

We had a brilliant week at Penny's property. The house was a great size for our family of four, and our children (aged 5&8) loved the pool, the cats and having breakfast on the terrace with views all along the french riviera. The indoor and outdoor areas had plenty of space for relaxing, the area by the pool was lovely to sit at and the pool itself was a good size for swimming and splashing about to cool down. The house had everything you would need and we ate in some evenings to enjoy the sunsets on the balcony. When we did venture out, the property is in a great location for heading down into Grasse, Valbonne, Nice, Cannes or Antibes for the sandy beach. We would definitely recommend Penny's place.

Fabulous holiday destination

Fantastisch

Het huis van Penny in de heuvels rondom Grasse is prachtig. De uitzicht naar de zee geeft rust en gelegenheid om echt bij te komen. Het wisselt iedere dag en men kan er niet genoeg van krijgen. Verder hebben we genoten van het huis, de plek , de pool en natuurlijj alle leuke plekken die men aan de Côte d’Azur wil zien. De meesten binnen een half uur te bereiken. Hierdoor hebben we echt heel veel gezien! Een aanrader!!

Relaxing holiday in beautiful house and area

Our holiday in Penny´s house was wonderful. We had a warm welcome and everything in the house was perfect. We enjoyed especially the nice pool and the wonderful view from the balcony when starting into the day in the morning as well as in the evening. The place is wonderful for relaxing and for visiting the region. Looking forward to come back.
