The Lake Château is a private, French château–inspired lakefront retreat in Granbury, Texas, designed for meaningful gatherings and unforgettable group stays. Surrounded by mature trees and abundant wildlife, this one-of-a-kind property blends old-world elegance with resort-style amenities and expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Whether you’re planning a girls’ weekend, a multi-generational family escape, or a relaxed team retreat, The Lake Château offers space to spread out while still staying connected. Guests can spend their days floating in the pool, soaking in the oversized hot tub beneath the covered veranda, kayaking across the lake, or gathering together as the sun sets over the water.

The outdoor spaces are layered and intentional. A lower deck provides ample seating and dining space alongside a grill positioned right on the water. From there, a second tier leads to a cantilevered dock extending over the lake—perfect for launching kayaks or storing a small, shallow-bottom boat (please note there is no on-site boat ramp). Additional gathering areas include a custom-built fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a second-floor balcony overlooking the lake, a dedicated outdoor dining area, and multiple lounge spaces furnished for comfort and conversation. The pool area features sun-tanning loungers and generous seating, creating a relaxed, resort-like atmosphere throughout the property.

Inside, the home is designed to comfortably accommodate large groups while still offering privacy and quiet retreats. The Lake Château features three private bedrooms, one oversized bunk room, four full bathrooms, and one-half bath.

Accommodations

The Kensington Primary Suite
A serene retreat where vintage charm meets modern luxury. The suite features a striking round king-size bed, a curated vanity area with plush seating, and quad wall outlets throughout the bedroom and bathroom—allowing multiple guests to get ready with ease. The en suite bathroom includes both a bathtub and a shower with modern finishes.

Peacock Paradise Bedroom
Located upstairs, this private bedroom includes a queen-size bed, plush bedding, a large closet, a dedicated vanity area, and its own AC unit for personalized comfort. The bathroom connects to the adjacent Majesty Suite.

Majesty Suite
This upstairs bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds, sleeping three guests total. A connecting bathroom, spacious closet, and private AC unit make this room ideal for families or small groups traveling together.

West Palm Bunk Room
Encompassing the entire west wing of the home, this oversized bunk room doubles as a sleeping and living space. It includes two king-size beds, four twin beds, three trundle beds, and a pull-out couch—comfortably sleeping up to 12 guests in one area. The full bathroom is located inside the bunk room and offers direct access to the backyard, allowing it to function as a convenient pool bath.

Living & Gathering Spaces

The main living area is anchored by a stone fireplace (decorative only) and furnished with a down-filled sectional and custom leather chairs, offering ample room for the entire group to relax together. This space flows seamlessly into the sunroom, where a wall of windows frames views of the backyard, pool, and lake. Additional seating and a bistro table allow guests to spread out while remaining connected.

Dining

The vintage dining table seats eight, with room to add extra chairs as needed. Three French barstools at the kitchen island provide additional seating, while a console table behind the living room sofa—with three ottoman seats—can also be used for dining. Combined with the bistro table in the sunroom, the home can comfortably seat up to 18 guests for meals, games, or group activities.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped for group stays, with ample plates, flatware, cups, glasses, serving trays, and barware for both indoor and outdoor use. A coffee station with two drip coffee makers, coffee, and creamer is set up to serve multiple guests at once. The kitchen includes an electric oven and cooktop, along with pots, pans, baking dishes, and casserole dishes.

Laundry & Extras

A full-size washer and dryer are available during your stay. The laundry room also includes an iron, a small ironing board, a pack-and-play with sheets, and a high chair. Pool towels are provided and can be found on the top shelf of the pantry inside the laundry room or in outdoor bins on the back patio.
