«For a new hotel we had no hot water. Room was nice
Breakfast was poor. The hostess seemed annoyed when asked about simple things like can we have some milk. Or can you get the pancake maker working. We usually have breads or muffins but not here. Although she seemed happy about getting food for herself to eat. «From the time we came through the entrance that night, the front desk person was kind, professional and smiled. That means a lot when you're tired from a long drive/ride. «The property had friendly and professional staff. The hotel was clean and updated. The breakfast was good. We travelled to the area for a concert at UVA. I was concerned about the distance of the hotel from the venue, but it was an easy drive and had several exits in between with plenty of restaurant and shopping options. I would definitely stay here again.»

«I booked about a month ahead of our stay only to arrive and have the front desk say they didn’t have a room. Never has this happened to me before. I was told of course that I wouldn’t be charged, only to wake up at a different hotel to see the charges on my card. It took a few days of calling to have the manager reverse the charges. I really hope this is not the standard so be prepared to take a gamble booking here!»

«My biggest problem with Aloft was the lack of electric outlets in the room. None near the workstation table or the nightstands. I had to charge my phone and tablet on the outlet at the foot of the bed.
