Invest in an underwater camera if you are going to Belize. Being able to capture the experience on camera will be well worth the effort of investing in the camera. We just did regular snorkeling because we didn't want to pay extra for an air tank. If you are a strong swimmer or can hold your breath for a while this is fine. I was at the bottom the whole time with the turtles, sharks and fish snapping my camera and coming up for air when I needed it. It was a workout haha.

Glover's Reef Research Station, Belize - Glover's Reef is one of four atolls in the Americas; all four sit off the barrier reef along the Caribbean coast of Belize and the Mexican Yucatan. Glover's Reef is 25 mi. beyond the barrier reef and is a renowned, but remote, spot for diving and snorkeling. The islands of the atoll have a couple of low-key dive resorts and a research station run by the Wildlife Conservation Society.
