«Southern charm, historic, with great hospitality. Staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. Each floor had it's own history from its founding to the Civil War and beyond. Rooms had some original features along with modern bathrooms and amenities. Full complimentary breakfasts and late afternoon wine and cheese offerings. I highly recommend The Marshall House. »

«On arrival the lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, the lobby is lovely and parking is right outside which is a plus as this is right on the Main Street across from the river walk, location was excellent and within walking distance of the river walk and downtown, there is an onsite bar and restaurant with a complimentary drink to use before 10pm on the night of our stay. «Absolutely loved it! Wish we stayed more than one night. Staff was amazing. We were an hour or so down the road and we got a call from the front desk. The cleaning staff found my wife had forgotten her diamond pendant and chain behind. They are shipping it to us. Definitely above and beyond. The common areas were great. We met some other guests that were quite friendly and entertaining. Will definitely come back and stay a long weekend next time we are in town. »

«This was our first stay at The Alida, but certainly won’t be the last. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to be accommodating, and full of knowledge, and warm personalities.
Record player in the room was solid! The room itself was very comfortable and well appointed. The shower pressure could have been better; but if that’s the only minor inconvenience…then so be it.
On site dining and cocktails, top tier. Location, on point.
We will absolutely be back. Cheers »
