What makes this mountain cabin unique:
No checkout tasks - just make sure the fireplace is off and doors and windows are closed.
The drive up Chalet Village is a real mountain road - steep switchbacks and serious elevation gain. First-timers find it adventurous; by trip two, you'll drive it like a local. Sedans, minivans, and SUVs all make it. And every guest says the same thing once they arrive: "I've never been this high or seen a view like this." AWD recommended in icy or snowy conditions - salt trucks clear the road quickly since Ober ski resort is up here.
The cabin's three levels connect via a charming wooden spiral staircase - it's part of the cabin's character.
The king loft is the crown jewel - a full open-air third floor with the most dramatic views in the cabin. Floor-to-ceiling glass means the sunrise wakes you naturally (no blackout curtains on this level - embrace it). Twin bunks share the space, making it perfect for a family of four. The two queen suites on the lower level each have their own bathroom and full privacy.
Black bears call this mountain home - you may spot them from the deck!
