We arrived late at night to find no linens for any of the pullout beds, which we were counting on for our group. We tried contacting the Owners but none of the listed contacts answered the night we arrived. The showers throughout the weekend were inconsistent at best, with no water for minutes at a time then cycling between scalding hot and ice cold water. The shower situation definitely had a negative effect on our group's trip. The house is beautiful and the TVs, pool table, jukebox and theater room are all nice and work well. It's unlikely we'll stay here again due to the hot water and house not being prepared for our group upon arrival.

Overall we had a good time.Not sure who cleans and maintains the house but they do not do a good job. The floors were dirty, there were beer cans behind one of the theater seats, only one fireplace worked, then the third one just stopped working, I had to fix the drain in the main floor half bath, a couple of the showers leak, another shower door doesn’t stay closed, one of the theater chairs in the back row is missing a bolt so the seat part falls off when you try to sit on it, one of the dining chairs is missing a bolt and the leg is about to fall off, most of the bathtubs with jets did not work or only had a couple working jets, no toilet role holder for one room appeared to be torn off wall, missing pool table ball, and tv remotes missing or dead batteries.While I understand you may have periods where it’s hard to get maintenance done when you have the house booked solid, but I have noticed past renters have sited same issues. Maybe the managers need to schedule maintenance days into the monthly schedule to address issues.

We stayed at Crantzdorf for four nights with family and friends. The cabin looks impressive from the outside, but that’s where the good first impression ends. Once inside, we found outdated, dirty, and even broken furniture. The master bedroom sheets hadn’t been changed, and the TV remote was extremely old and missing batteries — as were most of the other remotes throughout the cabin.The kids’ bathroom had visible mold, and none of the fireplaces were functional. After several requests, Phyllis finally sent someone who managed to get only one fireplace working. The cabin overall was not clean. They even had to call an HVAC company to address a water leak coming from the HVAC room, which guests didn’t have access to.The main deck boards were peeling and in poor condition, and much of the exterior clearly needed maintenance. This is far from the “luxury” experience advertised — the property needs serious attention and care. For the price charged, it was a disappointing and frustrating stay. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this cabin or stay here again.

Our stay was great! The place was beautiful, the view was beautiful. The kitchen was stocked really well which was a real plus! The showers are a little tricky to operate but once we figured them out they were fine. Maybe some written instructions would be helpful. Our biggest complaint is that when we arrived at 4:00 pm, the cabin had not been cleaned. The cleaning delayed us getting settled. By about 3 hours. No compensation was offered or provided by the owner. However, Phyllis and the cleaning staff were all super kind and apologetic.4 stars for the cleaning issue. Otherwise would give 5 stars.

Arrived at the property to meet the maintenance main. He was making repairs and said the previous people were high maintenance. Property was VERY dirty. They sent out cleaners they showed up with a dry mop and squirt bottle to clean. Most things I asked to clean they referred to that as a deep clean like the air vents and ceiling fans. (Hadn’t been touched in at least two years) floors weren’t bad our infant guest couldn’t be on the floor until WE went out and bought a mop. Upstairs shower didn’t work.. dishes and pans all needed cleaned before use. Couldn’t use hot tub it stunk like sewer water. Called about that no one showed up. Showered hadn’t been cleaned from previous people as there was hair in the drains and you stood in water while showering in the LL. Chairs broken - food left on sofas upstairs. Lady bugs and other bugs everywhere. A clean property doesn’t make you high maintenance !

1 week family vacation

I booked this property a year in advance, anticipating our family vacation in the great state of Tennessee. During that year, I contacted the owner several times via VRBO and left messages on the phone, but it took months to receive a response. I had to reach out to VRBO the day before check-in to obtain the access codes, check-in, and check-out information that I was supposed to receive a week prior from the owner. Upon arrival, I encountered a few issues that I reported to the staff. It was said that someone would come to look at the problem, but no one ever showed up.-The Main level master bath sink plug will not release and drain. Sink leaves standing water.-The grill was filthy, and a family member had to clean it to use it- There were a couple of chairs at the smaller glass table in the main living room that we noticed were almost broken. One had bent brackets, and two others also had issues, making them unsafe.- Kitchen: The cabinet hinge on the lower right of the stove was hanging on one hinge.-On the game room level, the master bedroom, located next to the laundry and shower, did not drain properly, and the shower door would not stay closed. We took baths the entire time we were there. I wasn't showering in 2 inches of water.-Bunkbed bedroom next to master: one of the sinks was clogged.-Most bathroom doors did not lock throughout the house.Once again, I sent this list to the owner via VRBO, but I never received a response. Overall, the property was beautiful

Amazing cabin

My family spent a week at this amazing cabin. It had everything that we needed and then some. The views are breathtaking. The host was wonderful as well. Very responsive to any questions we had.

Weekend Wedding

Crantzdorf Lodge was perfect for our small 20 person wedding. The deck was big enough for a small ceremony with beautiful views. The living room was easily transformed into a dancefloor. The dinning area was the perfect size allowing all adults to eat together. We had an issue with our door code not working, but it was taken care of in a timely fashion. I will say we thought none of the showers worked but turns out you just have to be smart enough to work them haha. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Beautifyl, but less than exprcted

The house and the view were absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. There was ample space to accommodate our party (18 people); however, the amenities described in the listing did not meet our expectations due to inoperabilty from what appears to be a lack of maintenance by the management company.The experience did not align with the expected standards, considering the cost incurred. Having spoken to the property manager and owner prior to arrival and knowing that there was a severe winter storm expected prior to our arrival time. The driveway, parking area, as well as the steps to the porch were covered in snow and ice and no salt was provided; nor was there a shovel or broom of any type to clear a path. Fortunately for us, one guest had a sand shovel that was used to clear a walkway to and from the vehicles as well as the entire driveway allowing non-4 wheel drive vehicles to access the property. Fireplaces, both inside and outside, on the main and second levels, were inoperable. One oven failed to reach the desired temperature, and its control panels were non-functional; the other oven produced a loud noise, akin to a Harley Davidson. The kitchen faucet leaked persistently, requiring manipulation to stop the leak. Two Keurig coffee makers were inoperable, which was particularly disappointing, as their functionality had been confirmed prior to arrival. Furthermore, dishes in the kitchen cabinets were found to be unclean or dusty, indicating inadequate cleaning. Also,

Family vacation

Overall our stay was great. Cabin is beautiful with lots of room and fun things to do. However getting in touch with property owners was hard. They did send everything but it took weeks sometimes and I had to call Vrbo. Also cabin had several things that did not work properly. Both Keurig coffee pots were broken. No pot to big coffee maker but they did bring us one that morning. Oven you can only use the 1,2,3 &9 to set temp. So that was frustrating. Several of the showers had no water pressure, just dribbles. That being said, again the cabin was beautiful and we all had a great time despite those few problems. I would definitely stay there again.

It’s a beautiful place. My whole family went for Christmas and was very disappointed. There was no Christmas decorations as advertised. Only a 6 foot pencil tree with white lights only. All harvest decorations were still up. cabin needs immediate maintenance in several areas. cleaning service appears to be mediocre at best. if you have trash that won’t fit into the cans provided you will have to go to Sevierville to dump. Out of state travelers are not allowed to use the two most convenient dump stations. I’m going to separately notify the owner because I feel like she’s not aware.

Property is beautiful, house is extremely clean! Plenty of room for all. Both Keurigs were broken, made maintenance aware, was told they would go get one, never received. Regular coffee maker on the fritz but was able to make work. A lot of ladybugs in the home, needs to be sprayed. Spare oven fan is noisy. Nine ball is missing from pool table. Things above need to be corrected but didn’t prevent us from booking again.

Overall was a great experience. Beautiful home on a beautiful property. Only issues were mutilple showers weren’t working properly; there were segments on the deck railing that was rotting and highly unstable, which was concerning given we had 5 young children with us; O-ring on grill was defective; and outdoor fireplace wasn’t working. Other than those issues, the overall stay was great

Wedding venue

Our stay was great! We had a wedding at the cabin with immediate families and although we came right after the floods in NC and TN, the owner/hosts were excellent in doing all they could to make our stay wonderful. It is a glorious cabin with every amenity you need. I would recommend bringing your spices including salt and pepper with you when you come but everything else is there! Even to accommodate large gatherings. We would recommend this stay for any kind of gathering. We even saw a mama bear and her cubs. We were very pleased with all aspects of staying at Crantzdorf Lodge!

Beautiful Place

Everyone loved this place for our reunion. The games were great for all ages. The location was pretty (beware the hill in winter), and right outside a golf course. We’d definitely stay here again. It was everything we needed!
