I did a last minute reservation and I didn't read the reviews until after I booked. I was kind of nervous of all the bad reviews. I didn't see any bugs, in overall cleaness is ok, I think they need to deep clean more often. When you enter there is a smell, that's true. My husband said there was a "dog's smell" in one bed, the other one was ok. And definitely the breakfast needs lots of improvements. VERY limited options and watery coffee. For $200 per nights they need to offer more. I wouldn't stay there again.

The staff was very pleasant, friendly and respectful However stayed two nights house keeping did not come not one time The second floor was dirty the hallways never once got vacuumed all three days during my stay there was two dead wood roaches that were in the exact same spot during my whole stay. Our room was not cleaned from the prior guests There was left over stuff left in the fridge Floor was dirty was not vacuumed The dresser was clearly not cleaned either. Absolutely no water pressure Only two bath towels for 4 guest 1 hand towel 2 wash clothes The pillows were a quarter of the size of a normal pillow First day there went to have a family breakfast There was mold on my daughters muffin All there is to eat is waffles toast 2 types of cereal or the old muffins and if do not arrive as soon as breakfast starts good luck eating anything. The smell of the second floor not sure what it was but not very pleasant

Amazing staff but poor condition of hotel. Bleach smell. Stains on the furniture. Dead bugs in the tub. Rust. Stains on the walls and ceilings. Comfort was okay

This is $40-50 property. Hence don’t expect much from the Property. Breakfast is pathetic and does not have much options. The room toiletries are not there, so please carry your own. The staff is very minimal and try to avoid any contact with them, just to avoid one more disappointment

I was really impressed with how quiet my stay was, and how it was an easy access for me to get onto the freeway, to get to restaurants and of course, the beach. The staff was really nice and helpful. I do recommend staying here again, when I travel back to Galveston.

There was blood on the sheets, no one changed it, I had to. The room wasn’t clean. When I brought it to attention the front desk clerk got upset I drenched the room in lysol

I paid for two nights but was locked out of the room after one night. it took forever to get a staff member to come to the lobby to straighten it out and then they were rude to me. human hair in the towels. Weirdly no hooks or racks in bathroom.

To be fair this is fine for a quick overnight before getting on a cruise ship. The place is not convenient walking distance for food but I didn't look into that while booking. The place is not in good condition. Holes in walls in many places. Our bathroom shower wall was bowed and coming off. There was not table in the room to sit for games or to eat. There were dead bugs in our room, I'm uncertain what kind but that was not pleasant. The food was not great and the dining area was dirty and run down. When I originally booked I wanted a cheap place for a quick overnight and the reviews were fine. I was nervous checking out reviews in recent weeks because of the information. While I didn't expect luxury, it wasn't the best place to stay. I don't recommend this place. The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful.

The room was musty, the ac took forever to cool down the room, the garden tub we had to clean because it was grimy. There is no hot breakfast, just a waffle & cold cereal selection & assorted pastries that looked suspicious. The staff could've been a little nicer as well. If you're looking for a decent place to stay, i wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Property was fine. The bathroom shower door leaked and was oddly configured. The complimentary breakfast was not satisfactory only having cereal, a few muffins as a waffle maker. I guess that counts but we were hoping for more.

Ok, first, you get what you pay for. I booked here because it was such a good deal…well the pictures are old and not reliable. This place was old and just plain dirty. The 3rd party websites do not warn you about the 75 dollar deposit to put down when you check in. Our room was just ugly. There were stains on the bedding and the walls. The mirrors and headboards of the bed were dirty. There were dead bugs and spiders. Our bedding was changed and we cleaned the room ourselves but we still weren’t comfortable and ended up leaving a day early. The place was a ghost town. There were maybe 10 cars total in the parking lot during our whole trip. Would not stay again.

The property smelled fresh upon entry then once we got on one of the elevators, there was a stench of fish and it was there for a long time. Additionally, although our room was clean, there were roaches on the counter that sits under the TV. The air conditioner was loud as well. The breakfast was subpar but I wouldn’t have eaten anyway because of the roaches

The room has now couch The breakfast is lousy. They only have waffles and milk. No eggs, no sausage. The room charges is not worth it. It’s the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed for the last four decades. Won’t stay in Sleep Inn ever again because
