Beautifully furnished Beach Cottage

Kick back and relax in our beautiful beach house in the historic Fort Crockett area. With the beach just a block away, you don't need to leave the back porch to enjoy the views and the sounds of the Gulf. The house has multiple areas to socialize - TV room, fire pit, back porch with rocking chairs - perfect for large groups. Our home is kid- and pet-friendly, and as hosts, we pride ourselves on providing the best amenities for our guests. Fort Crockett Beach House awaits!

Cozy comfy Peekaboo View

This place looks like the upstairs was just remodeled. We used the kitchen a lot and it seemed to have everything we could need. Perfect little backyard for the dogs with a firepit. We noticed they went over and beyond and even had beach chairs and cooler even a beach cart to drag all this stuff you could need to the beach. Great location with a back road you can take to grocery story and Academy sporting goods miss all that seawall traffic. Any questions you have they were on top of getting right back to you. Seems like the downstairs area would be perfect get-away for kids to stay and have their own area and run of the backyard.

Great location

As other guests have mentioned, the beach house is comfortable and nicely decorated. It’s a very short walk to the beach, so we spent a lot of time there. We also walked in the neighborhood and most neighbors seem to have a dog or are dog friendly. There are water hoses located at the front and back, so you can easily rinse off the sand before going inside. There are plenty of beach towels to dry off as well. The beach house had most everything I needed. I was visiting in December/January, so the weather was fairly cool to cold while there. The kitchen and den areas were fairly drafty, since the windows are original and not sealed well. After mentioning to the owner, he dropped off a new space heater as well as replenished items that same day. The heat did keep the bedrooms warm though. Everything that other guests have written about the owner of the property with regard to response is accurate. Tony was the most responsive owner I’ve ever had renting through VRBO. He went above and beyond as an owner. He took care of problems immediately. Unfortunately a problem he was not able to completely solve was a small bug problem. He sent an exterminator out two times and had cleaners come one time to clean and disinfect. All of this was very helpful for about a 5 day period. I’m sure the next guest who arrives will not have the same problem, since the owner is not one to leave a problem undone. I would most definitely rent a property from Tony, since he really kn

Stay after hurricane Beryl

We had our stay booked months in advance since our son, for the past 2 years has attended the TAMU Galveston Sea Camp. Unfortunately this year, hurricane Beryl hit the week before our stay. Camp was cancelled but we were past the cancellation date for the property. Tony, the property manager was in constant contact letting us know power conditions and how the city was recovering. We had a great week the property had minor damage, Tony was able to replace the full back fence before we got there. The property is just a hop to the beach and very close to everything. I had to work remotely and the internet was very high quality and fast. Even with the nuances of the aftermath of the hurricane, Tony was able to make the stay a success.

A quick walk

The house is an easy quick walk to the beach which is what we wanted. It almost works a two seperate places as the downstairs has a seperate entrance which you have to go outside from the top floor. Its not an issue at all and was a nice surprise for us have teenagers. Host is great and very attentive and house comes with all you need to go to beach. Beach cart, chairs, cooler and towels. House is in good condition and check in and check out was easy. Would go again.

Weekend Getaway

The property was walkable to the beach, on a quiet street. Felt safe with my family at all times. The house was beautiful and clean and well stocked. We wanted for nothing and even had some wonderful surprise extras. The firepit and backyard were a wonderful oasis to relax after a long day in the beach.

Cute place and great location

Very clean house and super close to the beach. The host goes above and beyond to be accommodating and provides some nice check-in surprises. The house has its own personality which we found added to the vacation fun. Just be aware that there is no interior access from the house proper to the extra spaces on the ground level so going back and forth means a short trip outside.

Family + pets getaway

The house was perfect for our stay. The yard was just the right size for our four legged kids, and for sitting out at the end of the day. Beach stuff is in the garage, which was great, and the house was quite safe and secure. Tony was very responsive when I had any questions. Overall we were very happy and plan to book again next year.

Really nice house. Vintage pine wood floors with bead board. Updated fixtures and appliances. Can see the beach from back yard balcony. Included everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Beach Stay

Very good location. Everything for beach was included. The host, Tony, was unbelievably courteous and helpful. His response time is incredible. The beach is a 5 to 10 mi ute walk, and very clean. Water was beautiful. Had a great time!

Mr. West the host who does the most!

So, my friends arrived first at our booked vrbo location. Much to our chagrin, my friends informed me, there were people (not our people) already there. As this small island community was expecting an influx of 6,000 people for the Ironman race... I was quickly sent into a panic laden frenzy. As the responsible booking person, I was worried that there would be no place left in Galveston for the 6 of us to stay. I quickly called Mr. West, his calm and pleasant tone put my mind at ease. He had aother place for us to stay. Somehow his property was double booked, not of his doing or control. I am so grateful that Anthony took care of us. Not only did he get us into equally suitable accommodations we were greeted with gifts to further aid in subduing any remaining worry. He communicated regularly, and checked in on us often. We ended up staying at 2 of Anthony's properties both were quite lovely, well cared for and stocked with plenty of basic amenities. Mr. West will be our first choice for any future. Wonderful host!

Tony was the perfect host! It was a bit chilly while we were staying there, highs in the 50s and low 60s, so they brought over a couple space heaters when I couldn't figure out how to get the downstairs heater to work, and they were there later in our stay to have it looked at/ repaired. We couldn't find extra trash bags so he ran some over within the hour. I felt like anything we may have needed we would be well taken care of. There were also many nice touches around the house with wine and chocolates, to decoratively folded towels and toilet paper, and any little personal item we may have forgotten. The house is nicely decorated with updated bathrooms and kitchen up stairs, and extra sleeping quarters downstairs. I would definitely stay here again, hopefully during a warmer time of year! Thank you, Tony!

Great little place, clear view!

Just so you know, it IS spacious, however the space is seperated. Main area has wonderful upgrades and the history was maintained too. The downstairs is a remodeled garage I think. It was great and worked well, but can only get there by going outside and down into back yard. Bit cold-small heater down there. Dogs were happy about space though, so was the teenager. Great little yard, though some maintenance would make it better. Rained, so we didn't get to use anyway. 4Bed/3 bath a block from seawall=great!

Amazing rental and amazing host! 5 starts!

We have stayed at many rentals across the nation. This was by far the best experience we have ever had! The price and accommodation's were exactly what we were looking for. Anthony communicated with us right away after booking. He also got us the check-in info in a timely fashion prior to our travel so we didn't have to stress. When we got in the place was amazing! It looked to be recently remodeled and very clean. It had all the little extras that make it so nice when traveling, especially with little ones! There was wine, chocolates, extra soap, toothbrushes, towels, and all the kitchen stuff you could need! We would gladly stay here again and would recommend Anthony and this property!

Beautiful property

My family and I stayed at here and it was most delightful! The property is tastefully decorated, modern appliances and had everything we needed and it was very roomy for our family of four. Beds were very comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful. To top it off, the host is very accommodating, gracious and responsive. I would definitely stay here again!
