The best part about Hotel 33 Baroni is Sabrina who works at the front desk. I arrived by bike and was worried about leaving my bike outside overnight, so she personally carried it down to their lower level and secured it for me. And then carried it back up the steps the next morning. And she did it all with a smile!
The hotel itself is good. I had booked a small room with a seaview and balcony, but when I arrived they didn't have any left (After looking at the hotel from the outside I didn't actually see any rooms like that). But they upgraded me to a larger room with a balcony overlooking the street. The room was clean and comfortable except there was an ant problem. I didn't realize it until late that evening and was too tired to care about switching rooms at that point so I didn't say anything. I hope the ants enjoyed my snacks.
Breakfast was good and is served on the rooftop terrace, which does have a nice view. And the wifi was fast and reliable. It's also walking distance to lots of restaurants and stores, and just a short walk to the old city. I think for the price and location, it's a good option if you're looking for something in or near Gallipoli.
