Is on the small size for a family of five but if it is a short stay, we stayed 2 nights, the size wasn’t a problem at all, oh and we had two dogs as well. Place is cute overall, location is amazing, would return.

The property was as described, perfect location to unwind and feel the breeze from the beach with sound of the waves, calm n quite neighborly place.Communicating with host was easy and she was very responsive.The only issue we had was cleanliness, as the place had a lot of dog fur, on beds upstairs, couches, common areas.Otherwise, totally recommend the tiki getaway!!

Disappointed

Description of property was accurate. When we attempted to watch tv or use the WiFi, it was barely usable. Tv buffered way too much and couldn’t stream from iPad well either. I know we are there for the beach, but you can’t stay out there all the time. Furniture was crap. Not comfortable at all. We used our fold out chairs instead. We actually left and went home a day early just to get out of there.

Quick Stay

It was in a great location and the pictures of the place are accurate. We had a nice time. The owner and co-host were helpful when we arrived and the place had not been cleaned. They sent people out and offered to refund our cleaning fee. The view of the ocean from the deck was perfect.

Love this place!

We loved our stay here. The host was amazing. We asked if we could possibly check in a few hours early and they graciously allowed us to. This meant a lot to us, because it was a last minute trip before my 17 year old ships off to the army at the end of the week. The house itself is decorated in a tiki theme and it looks like an award winning interior designer must have designed it. There is so much detail and thought put into every inch of it. We are steps away from the beach, and the sand dune walk over is next door. You can set your stuff up on the beach and keep an eye on it easily as you go back and forth. The patio area has amazing views and I loved drinking my coffee every morning from it. The porch feels very private as it’s not in an exact line with the neighbors. One night it was so nice out, we slept on the patio! The house is well stocked. They had toilet paper, paper towels. Dish soap etc. The grill is a charcoal grill and you do need to bring Charcoal for that. Bring your own laundry detergent for the washing machine. They have a keurig and a regular coffee machine. You do need to bring beach towels; but they have plenty of bath towels. The house is also very clean and the AC works well. We forgot a couple of things and did a Walmart delivery and it arrived within an hour! The house show for sale right now and I really hope the next owners keep the same theme etc, because we will def come back! Enthusiastically recommend this amazing and budget friendly place

Nice stay, lots of construction

House was clean and well equiped. There is a lot of repair going on in the area from the hurricane, it rained a lot while we were there so we explored the area. Not too far from some fun things. Houston and Galveston Island. The house did have a smoker smell, To moat it probably wasnt that bad but we definitely noticed it. . All in all it was a nice trip. Wish the weather was better. 😞

Weekend Family Get-A-Way

Our family scheduled this trip the same week as the Tropical storm that was coming through the Gulf. The property manager and home owner were very understanding of our concerns and did a great communicating with us 3 days before our visit. 24 hours before our visit they sent us a video of the property so we knew for sure everything was clear and in great shape. The home has a Polynesian theme and is a great stay for a small family. We stayed Friday through Monday and enjoyed our time there. The beach is a short 2 minute walk from the patio. We will definitely return in the future.

Surfside Getaway

We so loved our stay at the Tiki! We had everything we needed and the AC worked great for the sunburns we got! My kids and I would definitely go back and stay there. Perfect for a family of 4 and loved that we could just walk down to the beach each day. Can’t wait to go back!

Unique Polynesian style beach house with awesome owners

The beach house has a unique and cute Polynesian setup. Well maintained and neat. Everything was as advertised. The best part is it’s location with nice view of the ocean and an awesome deck where you can enjoy the evening breeze!! Lots of convenient stuff too like a small shower downstairs to wash off the sand, beach toys, chairs and umbrella. The most awesome part of our stay was how responsive and flexible the owner was. We had an issue with the AC along with a few other minor issues the second day of our stay. The owner of the property responded quickly and promptly and had them all fixed within a few hours. Throughout the process the communication was very professional and prompt. We also greatly appreciated the flexibility with check in as well as check out process. The check in instructions were very detailed. The check out process was also reasonable compared to the unreasonable expectations from some of the other properties in Surfside. Very personable experience yet professional!! Would definitely stay again.

Summer Vacay

We had the best time in Surfside! We were pleasantly surprised with the town. It’s quiet and laid back. The Tiki was adorable and it was so easy to check in and get straight to the beach which was just a short walk over the dunes. They also had pretty much everything we needed to enjoy the beach at the house. We would definitely recommend the Tiki house. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Cool Tiki Place

My husband, son, & myself enjoyed our stay at the Tiki house. Nice big deck that looks out into the ocean, as well as a second floor ocean view. Very comfortable beds, & good size bathroom. The kitchen provided everything we needed for cooking, & plenty of seating in the living area as well as dining. We love Surfside beach, & had a wonderful weekend. Thank you for helping my family & I make more even more great memories together.

Perfect Getaway!

Excellent!!!

This property was phenomenal!!! So adorable and the location to the beach was fantastic!! The owner and staff are so kind and quick to respond to any questions. The customer service was beyond any words that can be expressed. Finding people who care about others is hard to find these days, but the owner and his staff genuinely cared about me and my family. I will most definitely be coming back.
