A Note on Homes with Historic Charm:



As a lovingly restored 1906 home, Gold Haus retains many of its original architectural features and historic charm. Guests may notice:

• A moderately narrow staircase

• A few small steps between rooms

• Original architectural details, including raised floor moldings

These features are part of the home’s character and history. Most guests find them easy to navigate; however, those with mobility concerns may wish to consider them when booking. If you have any questions about the layout or accessibility of the home, please feel free to reach out before booking—we’re happy to help determine whether Gold Haus is a good fit for your group.

Guests have full access to the main house and exclusive use of the backyard, pool, hot tub, fire pit, and all outdoor living areas. The backyard and pool/spa are fully enclosed by a tall privacy fence.

Please note that there is a separate cottage located at the far rear of the property, at the end of the driveway, and is not part of the rental. The cottage is only occasionally used by family or friends and is unoccupied the vast majority of the time.

Cottage occupants, if present, do not have access to the backyard, pool, hot tub, or any amenities associated with the main house. On the rare occasions that the cottage is occupied, the only shared area would be the driveway.

Other things to note:

We provide a selection of complimentary provisions to help you settle in, including coffee, tea, milk, sugar, paper goods, and essential toiletries.

Supplies are stocked for the average stay; if you need additional items during your visit, an HEB grocery store is conveniently located just minutes away on Adams Street (approximately a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk).

For security purposes, the property is equipped with exterior cameras monitoring the front entrance, driveway, and backyard/pool areas. These cameras are not actively monitored during guest stays and are used only for property security and to assist in the event of an emergency or other safety concern. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the home.

1. How close are you to Main Street?

We’re just a short 10-minute walk to Main Street, with easy access to the heart of downtown Fredericksburg. You’ll be right near Marktplatz, where many of the town’s most popular events and festivals—like Oktoberfest—take place.



2. Is there a pool or hot tub on the property?

Yes! The home features a private pool and hot tub, fully operational and ready for your stay. The outdoor space is designed for a relaxing, resort-style experience, with a furnished patio and ongoing enhancements to further elevate the setting.



3. How many guests can the home accommodate?

The home is permitted for a maximum of 8 overnight guests, in accordance with local regulations.

With 5 bedrooms and spacious living areas, the home is thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable, uncrowded experience—offering more space and privacy per guest than many properties in the area.



4. Are parties allowed?

Small gatherings are welcome, provided all guests respect city noise ordinances (quiet hours begin at 10 PM), neighbors, and the home.

The property is limited to the permitted occupancy overnight, and all guests must comply with local regulations. Additional fees or early termination of the stay may apply in cases of damage, excessive mess, or violations.



5. Are pets allowed?

Yes—well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome. A $75 non-refundable pet fee applies and covers up to two pets per stay.

A kennel is provided for your convenience if pets are left unattended. We ask that guests clean up after their pets and dispose of waste properly. Additional cleaning fees may apply if excessive mess is left behind.



6. How do I arrange to have the pool heated?

Pool heating is available upon request for a flat fee of $275 (including tax), which covers up to 2 nights. For longer stays, heating may be extended at $100 per additional night.

The pool will begin heating prior to your arrival for your convenience. Please note that water temperature may vary depending on outdoor conditions, especially during colder weather.

Heating requests may be canceled up to 48 hours before check-in for a full refund. After this window, the fee is non-refundable.



7. What is there to do in Fredericksburg?

You’ll be in the heart of Fredericksburg, within walking distance to boutique shops, restaurants, and a variety of wine, beer, and distillery tasting rooms.

Just minutes away, explore the renowned Hill Country Wine Trail, known for its scenic vineyards and award-winning wineries. For outdoor adventures, Enchanted Rock offers hiking and breathtaking views, while the iconic town of Luckenbach is a short drive away for live music and Texas charm.



8. Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes, the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a full-size refrigerator, gas range, oven, microwave, and dishwasher.

Designed for both everyday use and entertaining, it features high-quality cookware, cutlery, and dishware, including premium All-Clad pots, pans, and bakeware. Dish soap, sponges, and dishwasher detergent are also provided for your convenience.



9. Are towels and linens provided?

Yes, we provide premium bed linens and a full set of bathroom towels for your stay. The home is stocked with an ample supply for the number of guests and bedrooms.

A washer and dryer are available for your convenience during longer stays. If you anticipate needing additional linens, you’re welcome to bring extras.

If anything is missing upon arrival, please let us know and we’ll address it promptly.



10. How fast is the WiFi?

The home is equipped with high-speed gigabit internet, with download speeds over 1,000 Mbps, providing fast and reliable connectivity throughout the property—ideal for streaming, remote work, and staying connected.



11. Is the property kid-friendly?

Yes, and families are welcome! We offer two pack-and-plays and two booster seats available upon request.

As with any home, adult supervision is required, particularly around balconies, stairs, the pool, hot tub, and fire pit. Please note that, as a historic property, some architectural features—such as balcony railings—may differ from modern standards.



12. What do I need to bring with me for the pool?

Pool towels are provided for your convenience as you enjoy the home’s private, resort-style outdoor space. If you anticipate needing additional towels, you’re welcome to bring extras.

Guests are also welcome to bring pool floats, toys, or other accessories to personalize their experience, as these are not provided.



13. Do you allow early check-in or late check-out?

Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, depending on availability and same-day turnover.

To ensure the home is prepared to our standards, these options cannot be guaranteed in advance. We’re happy to check availability on the day of your arrival or departure.



14. Why is check-in at 4 PM instead of 3 PM?

Our 4 PM check-in allows our team the time needed to prepare the home to a high standard, ensuring everything is ready for a comfortable and seamless arrival.

Early check-in may be available upon request, depending on availability. If the home is unoccupied the night prior, an earlier arrival may be possible.



15. How big/deep is the pool?

The pool measures 15’ x 30’, with depths ranging from approximately 3 to 5 feet, and includes a shallow sun shelf for lounging and relaxation.

Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty. Guests are responsible for supervising children and using the pool and hot tub responsibly.



16. How big is the hot tub?

The hot tub measures approximately 7’ x 7’ and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests, making it perfect for relaxing and unwinding as a group.
