Secluded lakeside cabin, with a salt water pool & hot tub, on 25 acres!

We want you to enjoy our little piece of Heaven on Barren River Lake! Our 2500sq ft home sits on 25 acres and boasts views all around. Relax on the back porch or pool deck, and enjoy the quiet, beautiful sunsets over the lake. Sit on the front porch and watch the sunrise over the farmland, where you are sure to see deer grazing. The dark night sky is perfect for star gazing! The walkout basement is a great place for the kids, and adults, to hang out and enjoy the pool table, basketball arcade game, and theater room! Enjoy the evening by the fire pit out back by the swimming pool and hot tub. We also have an outside basketball goal, plenty of yard space with some outdoor games, and a two story treehouse! Great safe area for walking/running. Super fast internet, open living room, dining room and kitchen with all of the extras you’ll need!

We are just minutes away from boat ramps, 19 miles to Glasgow, 14 miles to Scottsville, and 30 miles to Bowling Green. All with shopping, great restaurants, and entertainment. Only 9 miles to Barren River Lake State Resort Park, and 37 miles to Mammoth Cave National Park. Plus there are some great local attractions as well!

*Note- our swimming pool is typically open May-Mid October, and is only heated with a solar cover, water is usually cool in May, late September & early October.

*Another note- we do have an outside dog and cat, they won’t be on the property when you are there, but if you are highly allergic to these animals- this could be a problem.

Everything was perfect! It was warm and cozy. Very accommodating! We loved having a pool and hot tub along with the beautiful views. A nice coffeemaker, ice machine, ice cream maker and mixer. Honestly, everything you could need or want they had. If you have kids there were plenty of games and a theater for them. Highly recommend!

We so enjoyed our stay. Everyone loved the pool. The kids enjoyed all the games and movie theater. The adults loved having coffee on the deck looking out to the water. We cooked out on the grill and had s’mores at the fire pit. The owner was easy to contact if we had questions. We hope to come again.

Birthday Getaway

This vacation spot was ideal for our entire family. Eleven of us, ages ranging from 7 to 95, enjoyed everything the property had to offer. We spent a few days enjoying the nearby attractions (Lost River Cave, The National Corvette Museum, golf, etc.) and spent a lot of time on the property swimming and playing games. It was a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday with the entire family. The cabin was very well stocked with everything imaginable and the communication with the host was fantastic. Truly a great time!

Mammoth Cave Getaway

The home is on a beautiful sloping hill overlooking the water below and grazing fields in the far distance - a perfect, relaxing setting for enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The house has all the amenities you will need for preparing and serving meals and entertaining your family - we all enjoyed the pool, hot tub, pool table, theater area, and outside activities. We were greeted by deer in the fields and a bald eagle over the water. Sheila was readily available to answer any questions we had. While visiting the area, we enjoyed our hike at Winding Stairs Park to see water falls and gorges, Mammoth Cave National Park, and Barren River Lake State Park. The home was a perfect setting for a relaxing time away!

Break from running

This was exactly what we needed to get away as a family. Lots of local attractions too. Mammoth Cave and Nashville for a day trip, Paradise Point and Little Taste of Texas were great too. We loved it enough to consider our own rental in the area.

Michigan and North Carolina family trip

A Perfect Family Getaway! Five Stars! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this marvelous house, and I cannot express enough how delighted we were with our experience. From start to finish, our vacation was nothing short of exceptional. This property truly deserves a resounding five-star rating! As a group of families from both North Carolina and Michigan, ranging from young kids to adults, finding the right accommodation that caters to everyone's needs can be quite a challenge. However, this house proved to be an absolute gem, exceeding our expectations in every way possible. The pool and hot tub were an absolute hit with both the kids and adults. We spent countless hours enjoying the pool and hot tub. The well-maintained yard provided ample space for the kids and adults to play and enjoy yard games. The communication with the hosts was exceptional throughout our stay. They were responsive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about ensuring our vacation was a memorable one.Thank you to the hosts for providing such a wonderful experience for our families. Five stars all the way!

Property had everything and more!

The house was beautiful! Plenty of room for all of my children and grandchildren. Any kitchen appliance you could think of, they had. Wonderful pool and hot tub! Toys and games for adults and children. Movie Theater was a bonus as we had some rainy days. Sheila, the host, always answered any questions we had and was very helpful on giving suggestions on places to see and dining out options. Wonderful vacation and we would recommend it to anyone looking to vacation in Kentucky!

Perfect quiet family getaway

This house had everything for a peaceful, quiet, beautiful yet fun family getaway. We have a big family of 6 with child ages running from 9mo to 14 years and there was plenty of room, and most importantly everyone was entertained! From the pool with the beautiful view to the yard games this house had everything! And when my little ones had enough sun and pool, get dry and walk right into the theatre room where she enjoyed toddler shows while everyone else can still enjoy the outside. Raining for the day? That’s ok the covered porches and many windows let you watch nature do it’s best, or just go play pool and watch some movies . We went to Nashville for a day as it was only a little over an hour away or some of the really great local attractions, caves, homemade food, and more. The host of this property I couldn’t say enough nice things! They had a baby gate up on the stairs which we would not have known we needed and really went above and beyond with their home. The decorations and amenities were absolutel perfect we could have just brought clothes and food and been fine for the week. They tried to think of everything and even had a fun gnome game that my kids played immediately. From a family that usually goes to the beach this house was the perfect getaway from everything!!! A true vacation, no worries no hustle,it was just the slow down we needed with enough amenities to keep us entertained laughing and spending REAL family time.Living the dream will stay on our list
