I’ve stayed at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel in Fort Worth before for a wedding and had a wonderful experience, which is why we decided to stay there again this weekend while visiting Fort Worth and spending some time at the Stockyards. The hotel itself is still beautiful — the lobby is great, the bar is fantastic, and the staff at check-in and the concierge were all excellent and very welcoming.
Unfortunately, this stay was a completely different experience when it came to the room and the noise level. We stayed in room 439, and between roughly 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. there were multiple groups of guests running up and down the hallway, yelling and screaming. It wasn’t just a quick disturbance — it went on for hours and made it impossible to sleep.
On top of that, the outside noise was extremely noticeable. Our room overlooked what seemed like a roundabout road, and there were cars and motorcycles revving engines and cruising by throughout the night. It felt like there was almost no sound insulation from the windows.
I was honestly shocked because our previous stay here was so quiet and comfortable. The hotel itself still has so many great qualities, but the noise situation during this visit made for a terrible night’s sleep. I truly hope the hotel can find a way to better manage hallway disturbances late at night or improve sound insulation, because it really affected what would otherwise have been a great staY.
