We stayed at this home for a weekend trip and had a mixed experience. The location is convenient to the Fort Worth Stockyards and the home has a good floor plan that works well for groups with comfortable gathering space. It was mostly well maintained/clean.However, there were several drawbacks. The home is in a rougher neighborhood, surrounded by older homes with only a small cluster of newer ones. It was not a quiet or peaceful area. There are roosters nearby that crow regularly, which may be disruptive for light sleepers. We also planned to cook during our stay but found there were no pots or pans. The host said these are usually provided and suggested a prior guest may have moved them. We shared photos of all cabinets and drawers showing they were missing, but received no acknowledgment or follow-up. We chose to rent a home at a premium for kitchen access and would have budgeted differently had we known basic cookware wouldn’t be available.Noise was a major issue. On the second night, a neighbor played loud music from around 4:30 PM until about 6:30 AM. Through the night there was continuous music at full volume, singing, loud conversation and children yelling in their backyard. No one in our group got meaningful rest, which made for a difficult drive home that day.Overall, while the layout and location are positives, the missing essentials, lack of host response, and significant noise are important considerations and ultimately negatively affected our experience.
