Romantic Anniversary Getaway
For our 24th anniversary we were looking for something to enjoy some us time. The stay at the Rusty Barn was exactly what we were looking for. It was a real gem for a romantic weekend getaway located peacefully in the country. The hospitality received was top notch from Kristal through out our stay. We’ll definitely be returning. 1-3 December 2023

Amazing Cabin Experience
Kristal and Mark are very hospitable. We arrived at the property later than expected but Kristal met us at the cabin and gave us a tour anyway. The bed is probably the most comfortable I’ve slept on. Plenty of fresh clean towels were provided and the shower was easy to operate. There’s a trail on the property that makes for a good hike to enjoy the outdoors. There’s a grill as well. Mark was extremely helpful and made sure we knew how to use it properly. We’ll definitely be staying again in the future! Highly recommend for couples needing a quick weekend getaway!

Perfect anniversary getaway!
Upon arrival we were greeted with an amazing attitude and Krystal was so sweet! Once we got into the cabin they had cookies and a “happy anniversary balloon” out for us. It was so thoughtful and we really appreciated the effort she put in to make our stay amazing! The s’mores were amazing and so was hanging out by the fire pit. The cows were super sweet and we got some amazing pictures in on the property as well! The bed was also like sleeping on a cloud and we enjoyed the big shower and robes. Overall it was just an amazing getaway and an even better anniversary. We will definitely be coming back soon!!!

5 Star Rusty Barn!
My wife and I greatly enjoyed the Rusty Barn. When we travel we prioritize cleanliness and a unique outdoor experience. The Rusty Barn offers both, and does it well. The small cabin in very clean and very well decorated. The host was extremely thoughtful and a great communicator. The cabin is located on a large ranch, with everything you need for a relaxing outdoor experience.

Beautiful little space, perfect for a getaway.
Arriving to the property was a little confusing at first, but the Host was amazing at communicating and made sure we got there safely. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, everything was perfectly in place and it was decorated to make you feel like you were at a spa getaway, the bed felt heavenly, I slept so well. The host was so sweet and even put sweet touches like cupcakes for my husband birthday, it was so special. The only thing was it needed a full sized mirror and it was a little far from hochatown and Broken Bow, but I felt like it was sooo worth it 10/10 for sure.

If for nothing else, one should visit for Krystal’s hospitality. Had the good fortune of going through the vast farm with her. It’s an experience!! If you like serenity, don’t miss this opportunity. Honestly one of the best vacations I’ve been on ! So peaceful and kristal was amazing ! She helped me make it a special/romantic experience for my girlfriend and I :) went above and beyond with making us feel very welcomed and we got to walk all over the property and actually get up and person with their sweet cows and horse ! Never have I ever been so at peace outside in nature ❤️ we already made our midis that we are coming back at least once every year . So worth the drive from Dallas ! :)

Amazing!
Absolutely amazing, the hospitality was above and beyond, and when you first walk in it immediately felt welcoming. Our hosts were very kind and very receptive, they saw to it that you had a want for nothing during the stay. The fire pits were a nice feature especially for making s'mores, the walk in shower was really nice, and the bed was so comfortable! The little gift shop has lots of things to look at and was great being able to have something to help remember our stay by. We initially booked just one night, but after being there we ended up doing a second. It was mine and my spouses firt out of town trip together, it really could not have been a more perfect getaway. Town was busy, and crowded and loud being a holiday weekend, so when we would return to the barn, it was absolutely the peace and quiet we needed to wind down from our busy days. This will literally be our go to spot from now on when we trip to Broken Bow, oklahoma. 12 out 10 would absolutely recomend!

Just Chilling
The wife and I had a single goal in mind for this year's spring break and that was to go somewhere off the beaten path and do absolutely nothing. And that is exactly what we did, positively nothing. Arrived on Monday and departed on Saturday and barely left the cabin. We brought our food, books, and music and we took advantage of all the amenities that were very thoughtfully provided. Obviously, there were things within a short driving distance that we could have done but that was not on our agenda. We needed to be sloths for a week and the Rusty Barn cabin enabled us to be just that. We will most definitely be back when the world beats us down and we need to be guaranteed peace and serenity. Thank you very much to the owners for creating this little slice of heaven.

Quiet Romantic Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay at the Rusty Barn. Kristal was an awesome host. She was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The Traeger grill and Blackstone griddle were favorites of my husband. It was very clean. We really enjoyed cooking outside and using the little kitchenette for meals. There are plenty of parks and hiking in the area. We had a great time visiting Beaver Bend and Hochatown.

My wife found the Rusty Barn on VRBO while looking for a place not too far from our home in Frisco, TX to get away for some much needed R&R. The Rusty Barn was just perfect. Best couple's time
What a wonderful get away for the two of us! Solitude from the noise of the city, nights gazing at a million stars, the sounds of crickets in the dark by the campfire and doves while watching the sunrise in the morning. … And most importantly… time to focus on each other. So many country memories to keep for a lifetime. This was the perfect retreat to remember the feel of cool night air, taste of S’mores over the wood campfire, an occasional visit from the cows and long walks through the pasture, over the creek, and through the woods… all we were missing was Grandma’s house at the other end of the dirt road! Kristal truly has the gift of hospitality as she was attentive to the smallest details. The cabin is adorable and welcoming, and the luxurious bed is beyond comfortable. The special touches were so appreciated – from the cozy robes, the shower bombs, the s’more basket, the most amazing cupcakes ever, and the sweet gift shop full of treasures. But it doesn’t end there…we appreciated the ice maker in the kitchen, the Traeger grill, the unique gas fire pit under the pavilion, the beautifully set dinner table with candles, and the drawer of treats, coffee, tea, and just about any incidentals you might need. Wonderful escape from the city
Highly recommend the Rusty Barn. Fantastic cabin, with everything you need to rest, indulge, and relax. As soon you enter the barn, the setup is to the point of making you feel so welcome. The cabin is charming, the bed is comfy, the decoration is beautiful, and it is so clean. The host, Kristal, will ensure you have a wonderful stay. It is the perfect place if you plan to have a couple of / friend retreats. If you want to enjoy a coffee outside, in a comfy chair, while looking at the country in silence, with a background of cows, horses, and birds and/or having a fire in the evening and looking at the stars, Rusty Barn is the perfect spot for quietness, cleanliness, and peacefulness.

Luxury farm stay
Ours was a last minute plan. Kristal was very prompt & quick in replying to messages and made the booking, check-in and check-out as easy as possible. The place offers every amenity that a luxury resort stay would provide & some more. My husband uses a mobility scooter. Kristal & Mark attended to every little detail and went above & beyond, making it a very comfortable and safe trip for us. As my husband couldn’t walk around & explore the farm, Mike gave us a personal tour on his buggy. They have a cute little gift shop with rustic items. The beautiful welcome arrangement, surprise bowls of fresh peach & ice-cream and their unpretentious company & assurances made it feel like visiting someone dear in our family. I’m a very light sleeper during travels but I had a peaceful sleep knowing they are at a calling distance and didn’t wake up throughout the two nights. My hubby & I are still talking about the positive vibes from them and their lovely space. Right blend of company and privacy. We highly recommend the place for solo & duo trips - for anyone needing some quiet time to simply relax or a creative space to write, make art/music etc.

If you have any doubts about booking a stay here, forget them immediately and book it! You will not regret it. My husband and I enjoyed two nights here at this beautiful property. It was so relaxing and peaceful. In addition, Kristal made sure we were well taken care of. She kept in contact with us throughout our stay. We loved the peacefulness of the property. My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend getaway and we certainly got that at the Rusted Barn. The owner Kristal thought of everything! I’ve never stayed at another VRBO location that had toothbrushes and other personal care items on hand, in case we needed them! The building was beautifully decorated and I personally enjoyed the gift shop at the front of the building.! (Seriously, buy the seasonings!!) we plan on coming Gavin October for our anniversary’s and staying longer. I can’t wait to explore the farm. Thank you Kristal for making us feel so welcome!
