This property offers a lot for the money you pay per night. Plenty of dining options. Very good gym inside the spa area. If you like pickle ball and tennis they have both. The resort fee includes the sports equipment and bicycles.

I didn’t see any staff except the receptionist.Rooms were smelling bad.They charged money from free parking and something I didn’t even understand. Pool of the captiva tower was dirty. I hope this hotel recovers soon. I don’t recommend it and I won’t go there again.

Property is nice, but there really is no beach and I really disliked the layout of the resort. Nicest restaurant overlooks tennis courts instead of water and the courts need maintenance. The walk to the steakhouse is 1/2 mile over a bridge that is starting to fall apart and feels unsafe walking over. Elevators are very old. There is a strange odor throughout the hotel, and a few times I smelled gas. Rooms are nice and clean, pool area is nice. Bar is excellent and the staff are all nice and friendly. Just needs maintenance in areas.

Great place for visiting family on Sanibel. Pool is nice. We were in the Captiva tower, which at first felt like we were given the short end of the stick but the tower was more quiet, views were great, and the pool area was much more private than the main pool.

Excellent customer service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Service around the pool was very slow, but it seemed to be because of few staff, not that anybody wasn’t working hard. A magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be very helpful. Otherwise, rooms are wonderful.

Make sure you know what tower you’re staying in. Captiva tower is not nearly as nice and is quite inconvenient. If you want to experience the resort, stay at Sanibel tower.

The buildings are spread out. I was put in the captiva building. I was told it was a 3 minute walk. I tried to drive to the main building and was told to go back to my building and call a shuttle. The pool was never vacuumed the 4 days I was there. I was not impressed.

Pools were nice. On-site restaurant was average. Breakfast buffet food was cold. Floors in restaurant were sticky. Traffic around resort was terrible. You couldn’t leave property without sitting in traffic. A 5-minute ride to a restaurant turned into an hour easily. Housekeeping under-staffed. Our room was only cleaned once during our 5-day stay and we had to request the room clean despite being out of the room for most of the day. We had to call and request clean towels. As the week went on and the resort became busier, pool and beach towels were unavailable to guests.

The property is at the harbor. I was looking for a hotel by the beach. Depending on the traffic, I had to drive 15 - 20 minutes to the beach. There are a few restaurant options at the hotel. Otherwise, you have to drive to get to other places. I chose an ocean-view room... Sunset, sunrise, and the sound of the water through the night was amazing.

We did not like the fact that we we put into another building away from the main building and its amenities. We traveled with friends they were in the main building. We needed to take a shuttle to get to the main building. Did not care for the inconvenience.

Loved the spa, with sauna, steam room and whirlpool. I would have liked to have taken advantage of spa services, tennis and pickle ball but not enough time. Did not like to pay for parking at a large resort like this and parking is not cheap.
