We thought this property was absolutely cute. It’s only a block from the beach. Hollywood Beach is a 2 1/2 mile walking path of shops and businesses and fun things to do. Peruvian food and Italian food seem to be the norm. We tried Peruvian. It was delicious. Ceviche. The owner lives on site and takes care of everything for you as needed.

Owner was unhappy with the price we paid through Expedia and then put us in a room on another property which we had to walk to with all our luggage in tow. The room was gross and falling apart. We didn’t even sleep under the covers. The tile in the bathroom floor was loose, the floor was sticky, the table was dirty. Luckily we only stayed for one night. Will not return. Do yourself a favour and pay the higher price for a better room somewhere else!

We loved the price… Near the boardwalk. I think it was just old, and needs a face lift. Room floor felt sandy and unclean. It was okay.

There's only 2 things we liked about the place. The owner (which is very nice and friendly) and the walking distance to the boardwalk and beach. The room we stayed in was terrible. It was right beside the main road, so traffic all day and night was extremely noisy. The room was in need of major upgrades. The pictures online are simply wrong. The shower leaked onto the floor, the floors themselves were very dirty (we used paper towels with soap and water to clean what we could),the stove was from the 70s or earlier, the tv was mounted behind the bathroom door and the size was probably 30 inch or less. They tried to clean before we got into the room but they didnt use bleach, they used fabulouso. So the smell lingered. We used the room to keep our beach supplies in it for convenience, but slept at another place further inland. But the owner was really nice

This was a low-cost hotel so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was concerned there would be excessive road noise, but that was not a problem. However once we had jackhammers at 5AM for 15-30 minutes and another time loud music at 3AM for maybe 8 songs. These aren’t the fault of the hotel but it might be more evident being at ground level. Otherwise, the noise was not a problem at all. The room smelled strongly of cleaning supplies, and was in fact a clean room. Except the thick plastic shower curtain that should be replaced for mold. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I was delighted. Slept very well. There was a tv but you’ll have to sign in for your own accounts. The shower has power-wash power, but also gets everywhere. The biggest drawback is the office hours. The office has limited hours. I believe it was something like 11 to 8. We had a very early flight and had to kill a bunch of time before we could even talk to someone. And if you had a problem overnight for some reason, you would be out of luck. I believe there should be an emergency number and the hours should be clearly communicated to people when booking. One morning another family was standing around with their suitcases. It’s a bad experience that just needs communication so people can make arrangements or reach someone. I wouldn’t seek this place out per se. But I would stay again if the price was right.

Upon arriving at property, there were no rooms available S they had overbooked. We were sent to a different hotel where the room was in very bad conditions with outdated cabinets and furniture, pieces of the baseboards missing and what appeared to be mold on the walls. Also the desk manager was very rude when we found it necessary to call the front desk to ask for the wifi password to reset the internet in order for the television to work.

Don’t risk booking! We had a confirmed reservation made 4 months in advance. The morning of arrival, while we were waiting to board a flight, the hotel front desk called to tell us they were overbooked and didn’t have a room for us. Fortunately, Expedia found us a replacement, although we sat for a while at the FLL airport waiting for a resolution.

The location was great - easy to get to the beach, shopping, grocery and restaurants. It was very budget friendly. Great water pressure in the shower, very nice fluffy soft towels, the pillows and bed were very comfortable. I would visit again.

Girl at the front desk has limited English. We were able to store our bags and when we returned to check in the owner was there. He asked how we got such a low rate for the room and we said we booked through Expedia. He went off on a rant, saying if we try to come back we will never get the same rate. He said he has to make money and we would have to pay much more to stay. He kept on and on, like it was our fault we got the rate we did. He is the one allowing people to use Expedia to book!! We spent considerable time getting the TV to work. Very basic room with few extras. No hair dryer or hand towels. Half a ceiling fan and the light didn’t work. The one great thing is the location, only a block off Hollywood Beach and the Boardwalk. The owner does not have to worry about us coming back.

The Caroline did not have a room for us, they put us in another place that was even worse, it was dirty, walls had stains, floor had stains, it did not look like what they advertised in photos.

Insalubre , attention , pas comme sur les photos tres sales salle de bain dégueulasse, propreté execrable. Pas de bbq qui fonctionne bon pour les vidanges, déchetsdehors aucun conteneur, cest un panier d'épicerie. Chambre numéro 7 . Plusieurs personnes venu et parti pleincde bibites. Lexterminateur est venu pour les bibites. Bain crasse et douche aussi me lave avec des gougounes dans les pieds. Cuisinière dégueulasse. Dessous du lits la toile de fonds du matelas est arrache apres le lit. Air climatisé coule sur la table de nuit elle etait plein d'eau et la montre de mon conjoint détrempé. Pas de séchoir, pas de coffre fort pas de detecteur de fumee il pend au plafond. Nous sommes ici en avion et pas d'auto et les hotel aux alentours pas de place sauf ceux qui sont trop dispendieux pour nos moyens . Nous avons paye 2200 pour 10 jours. A mon retour je metterai les photos de la place. Pres de la plage et boardwalk. La seule chose.

Nous sommes vraiment désolés pour votre mauvais séjour, nous prenons des mesures en la matière et concernant le coffre-fort, ce n'est pas un hôtel de luxe et nous ne sommes pas obligés de l'avoir. La ville le révise tous les 3 mois et il est approuvé et ne le fait pas. exiger certaines choses que vous mentionnez. Merci beaucoup.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à l'hôtel The Caroline. Le propriétaire et les employés étaient sympathiques. L'hôtel est situé à 2 minutes à pied de la plage et du Broardwalk. La chambre était propre et sentait très bon. Il y a un petit jardin accueillant pour relaxer et l'endroit est très calme.

We ordered a bigger room for this hotel, and they gave us a smaller room. The owner said I don’t understand why two people would want a bigger room. So we stayed with a smaller room. They were limited on towels every time we ask the girls for fresh towels they would roll their eyeballs and didn’t want to give us any extra .The window in the bathroom was missing a slat of glass. The room was not cleaned just a lot of dust I would not return.

Second time here in just over a week. Room 12 was much larger, quiter and better equipped than room 16 we had the first time. A very good, basic stay in a great location.

Front office is horrible
At check in the man at the counter told us he didn’t have any rooms. Despite us having our reservation for 3 months. He said it wasn’t his fault and we were to call the company to find a room. This was New Years weekend. He went and got the supervisor and she was able to work things out. He was trying to hold our room for someone else that wasn’t there yet. Later I asked for 2 towels (there were only 2 in the room) he argued with me saying the lady won’t give me any and went on to ask why I needed 4 towels. He was horrible from the moment we checked in. I wanted to leave the establishment but my significant other talked me out of it since it was a holiday weekend. We could not connect to the Wi-Fi and the tv didn’t work, but I didn’t dare go talk to the office about it. The walls are extremely thin. The people sitting out front can hear you use the bathroom and you can hear all conversations in the rooms next door. The only plus was everything is within walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. Which is nice because the parking is tight in their lot.

Don’t waste your your money. The mold made me ill.
The office door is locked. The room is too small for anybody to be in to check in. So I had to stand outside in the heat until it was my turn to check in the room was filthy. I wore socks they were black from walking on the floor. I threw them out they were so gross. However, the smell of Pine-Sol was so strong that I had to keep the door to my room open because I couldn’t breathe. I ordered a pizza. I met the pizza man in the parking lot and he commented on the overwhelming smell and asked what they were trying to cover up. Visible dust on the blinds on the furniture. I personally wiped the dirt off of the tile in the bathroom. The bottom of the shower curtain was black with mold, tons of visible mold, inside air conditioner. The electronic keypad stopped working. There was no way to contact anybody. I was locked out of my room for quite some time. I finally wiggled the door for a good five minutes and it just came open. All of the bathrooms are on the exterior wall and only have slat windows, so when you’re very young loud neighbors are sitting directly under your window until 2 AM not only can they hear you do your business but you can hear them loudly all night long.

When I want a Beach get away... I first check to see if this Motel / Hotel is available. Stayed there many of times and prefer... Walking distance to the Beach. They are accommodating whenever possible.
