The room was very clean. Our bathroom door ended up locking itself but the front desk lady came quickly to try to remedy it but had to just take off the door handle. The front door has a crack so we can hear everything that is going on outside. The floors must be connected because when the neighbors walked we could feel it and it was loud.

Management and front desk were helpful and friendly. A Unfortunately when I checked in at 3:30pm the cleaning staff was not done so I had to wait a few minutes, which really wasn’t inconvenient for me, but the room was still dirty when I went in. No towels were provided, so I had to ask the front desk clerk, who was very helpful in getting me what I needed. Unfortunately it looked like the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned at all. Dirty floor, hair on the sink, stuff on the shower walls (I hope it was someone’s shampoo) and the bed frame had a gross layer of skin and hair at the head of the bed. The lady cleaning should have just apologized and asked me to alert the front desk so she could finish. I would have happily taken a nap in the car while she finished if I needed to.

Oceanside really turned around a bad experience with Motel 6 and was able to get us a room for my family. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, there was a little waffle bar/cereal station for morning breakfast, and the adults liked that the queen beds weren't side by side. We were already stressed out about Motel 6 causing issues, but Oceanside made up for it and then some.

The first room we were put in was incredibly small. Not what we were expecting! There were dead ants on the bathroom sink but that didn’t really bother me. There was no working WiFi . There was no hot water so my bf said something. The “amazing” property manager upgraded us to another room that was the size more suitable for a $100/night. Unfortunately, there was never WiFi and the lights in the bathroom and walk in closet dimmed so much our second night that it was a good thing we were leaving that day. In their defense there was a bad storm that weekend. I loved the lady running the place though.

The hotel was clean and staff was nice. We took a long weekend to attend a local festival so two other couples stayed at the same hotel and we all thought our rooms were ok… subtle differences in each room, nothing horrible, just little things that made us laugh. One room only had one night stand but an upgraded bathroom mirror but no bathroom vent, another room had two night stands but everything else was basic, the last room had a fanciful mirror, one night stand and a chair…. Location was fine, a quick walk to the center of town for dinner and/or drinks.

typical motel; needs work but comfy enough
Okay place to stay; the floor heater didn't warm the place up much. The metal bedframe on the floor was annoying, your feet bashed into it because it does not have a toe-kick. The nice photo embellished upon the roll-down screen added a pretty touch to the room. Comfy enough bed although the frame was awful.

The property is pretty old. The rooms have been redone, but are nothing special. The electric heater really didn't heat the room. It was quiet because we were practically the only people staying there. There is a Denny's across the street that was convenient for breakfast. If we were back in Fort Bragg, we would make a different choice.

Overall this property was fine. The bathroom in the room was tiny and there was no bath tub for my toddler. The blankets are paper thin and the pillows are so uncomfortable! I would bring an extra of your own if you can. Our room was never cleaned for whatever reason and at one point our keys just stopped working. When we went to the office for new ones no one was in there. Finally, a maid came and opened our door with a master key but was unable to get a new one. It tooks us hours to find someone capable of getting a new one. It was a convenient spot but I wouldn't pay more then what I did.

Check in was quick and easy. The bathroom was covered in hair from someone and the floors felt dirty walking barefoot. There was a giant spot light aimed right into the only window into the room, ours was upstairs above the office. All night there was a glow around the window, making it feel like the sun had come up already. Price was right, location is right. Not much else to expect for a budget room.

Dear Zachary,The location is good but the rest of the property suffers from bad management and stingy owners who do not spend a dime on comfort and convenience. Maid service was almost non-existent but the manager had the nerve to solicit tips for the maid. The breakfast was awful as was the coffee. However, the worst part was the BED (what is the main reason for a hotel to exist?). We absolutely could not sleep on the bed and checked out early. When we asked for a refund, we were sent to Hotels.com and Hotels.com seems to want us to collect from the hotel. Luckily, I am a retired lawyer so I can sue both entities in the Magistrate Court of Glynn County, Georgia which I intend to do if I do not get refunded the money I paid for the night we did not use.Sincerely, Hotel Manager

Ok for the price
The guy at the reception was very nice, no complaints. The room didn’t feel clean. There were some quite large spots on one of the pillow cases. Also, there was no extra blanket in the room, it was quite cold and a puffy comforter would be very good to have. The lamps on the room and other surfaces need a wash and de-dusting. The pillows are not comfortable. The floor felt sticky, quite some hairs on the bathroom floor. Other than that, it’s an ok place to stay but don’t expect any luxury for sure. On the bright side, the mattress was comfortable, there was a microwave and a fridge. For hot water to drink you have to go to the reception. I liked the bathtub and that there was a shower head with a number of stream modes. Overall, I would maybe stay again but bring my own pillows and blanket and slippers. Also, there is a complimentary breakfast but we didn’t try it. And the location is good.

Very Disappointing
This was a big disappointment being a Days Inn. The rooms have been renovated, but the door was broken, the rooms were very small, and the beds were metal and pretty awful. They were uncomfortable, and made a creaky noise every time you rolled over. You could hear the rooms around you like they were in the room with you. With that being said, the people were nice, and the rooms were clean.

Great location to walk to the downtown. Our room was above the office which parallels the road. This was very noisy with road traffic. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Regardless of the dated accommodations, we would still stay here again. Maybe a bit pricey for the product.

Flexible with a late check in for us (thank goodness). Super great value on a full family kind of suite (1 king and 2 doubles in a separate room with a mini fridge and full stove. Pleasantly surprised on that!
