This is an absolutely beautiful house, perfectly maintained. The pictures of the house do not prepare you for how nice the house really is. And as difficult as it seems to find the house the first time you are led here, it really is easy to find once you know where it is (and part of the fun is that the last block is on a street barely wider than your shoulders). Before you leave on your own the first time, Mrs. Loubna walks you out to the main street to make sure you know the landmarks and how to get back, and gives you a map and her phone number just in case you have any problems. The owner, Pascal, responds almost immediately to any question you have before arrival, and the housekeeper/manager, Mrs. Loubna, is as helpful as can be once you get there. Mrs. Loubna's breakfasts are as good as any we had in Morocco-- her crepes are hot and delicious and her coffee is good, hot, and plentiful--, and are served on the terrace on beautiful blue and white Fassi china. Mrs. Loubna arranged a three-hour tour of Fes for us with an excellent guide, and also arranged our absurdly early morning ride to the airport, all with no effort on our part except to ask. We have only one caveat: stairs in Fes seem to be steeper than anywhere we have ever been, so if you have any knee or other mobility issues, staying in a three story house in Fes is probably not the best choice. Otherwise, you'll love it here.
