«We stayed in the cottage and it was exceedingly charming and comfortable. Staff were truly kind and gracious, and we had two great meals at the main restaurant. The nature trail on the property was a nice bonus. Great location near the national park and close to other restaurants, too. Staying at the Kilauea Lodge was the highlight of our trip.»

«The three of us were very comfortable in suite 1 with the little twin window bed. The sound of the ocean drowned out the songs of the coqui frogs. It was a great location to see the sights on the Hilo side. The breakfast was amazing: fresh fruit, French toast or coconut pancakes, eggs to order, and juice. They have a little cabinet with first aid items and extra sunscreen.The hosts were caring and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this place!!!»

«If only we could have stayed longer! We had booking the glamping unit, but because of water issues Theresa switched us to the Bungalow, which was so cosy. She agreed alternative breakfast arrangements as we had to leave early on checkout. We only had time to meet the chickens and ducks at the doorstep, but we saw the donkey and goats sheltering from the rain! I would definitely recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Volcano NP. »

«My husband and I stayed there for four nights and we had the most wonderful time there. Every morning was a different type of fresh cut fruit, mostly grown in the property and home bake goods. It was delicious! The room was small but comfortable and was exactly what we were looking for. The property and location was great too. It was a 10 minutes walk to rainbow falls and 5 minutes drive to downtown Hilo. »

«Totally unique off grid experience smack in the middle of the jungle. Think tiny house meets summer camp! Misty, the property host, gave an excellent introduction to the property and amenities. Her knowledge of flora and fauna enhanced our experience. Don’t worry about trading comfort for rural retreat. Our bedroom cabin was super clean, warm, appointed with quality linens and towels, and worked well for the four of us. This is a must do experience you won’t stop thinking about.»
