Coastal Cottage is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its comfortable accommodations, private hot tub, view of Lake Michigan, and convenient location to the beach, you’re sure to have an unforgettable vacation experience.

This serene cottage is situated on a quiet “no outlet” portion of prestigious Lakeshore Drive in Saugatuck Township, the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the area with a walk, drive, or bike ride along the shore. For a day in the sand and sun, Pier Cove Beach is just 1.2 miles up the road and offers free parking and minimal stairs to Lake Michigan. Explore the adorable downtown restaurants, orchards, farm stands, and wineries of Fennville, as well as the distinctive shops, boutiques, award-winning restaurants, and art galleries of Saugatuck/Douglas. Just a ten-minute drive offers something for everyone – from shopping and ice cream to antiquing and hiking, to wineries, breweries, and you-pick farms. Whatever your interests are, our corner of Michigan is sure to please.

At Coastal Cottage, you have the luxury of a serene, wooded backyard, a raised deck with plenty of comfortable outdoor lounge seating, a grill, and firepit overlooking almost an acre of backyard lawn. Tall pines surround you as you enjoy family time playing games, toasting s’mores, or soaking in the hot tub with a glass of wine from one of the local wineries.

Coastal Cottage boasts two well-appointed bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed and quality linens to ensure a restful night’s sleep. Additional sleeping can be found in the den/sitting room via a full sofa sleeper as well as a twin daybed in the lake-facing sunroom, perfect for a little one to sleep or for you to catch an afternoon nap. A comfy one-room outbuilding with a private entrance can sleep two via a queen sofa sleeper. This space has its own Smart TV and comfortable seating, perfect for playing games or watching movies. Comfortably accommodating your group of 8, this cottage will be an ideal home away from home. The bathroom has an updated walk-in shower with a glass door and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

Authentically decorated throughout, you will love the cottage charm of every room. The spacious living room has a Smart TV – stream your favorite apps for an evening movie or morning news. Grab your coffee and head out to the sunroom where you can enjoy partial views of Lake Michigan through the trees, and watch the world go by on Lakeshore Drive. Gather for cocktails at the end of the day to catch the golden sunset streaming through the trees.

However you choose to spend your time - heading to the beach, exploring, or relaxing, Coastal Cottage is the perfect place for a peaceful escape nestled close to the many treasures of this beautiful area.

The fireplace is not available for use and is for decorative purposes only.
The detached cottage does not have a bathroom, heating, or cooling. There is a window AC unit in the summer and a space heater in the winter. You will have to go outside and into the main house to use the bathroom.
This home receives water via a well. Though it is perfectly safe to drink, if you are used to city water, you may prefer to bring bottled water to drink. 
This home is on a septic system. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper and natural waste. Flushing items such as wipes and feminine products will cause a backup in the house and/or yard and you will be responsible.
Wireless internet and a Smart TV are provided for your enjoyment. There is no cable TV service. 
Surrounded by nature and tucked along the lakeshore, the location of this cottage means wildlife is common. You will see deer, turkey, squirrels, raccoons, and much more. The property is serviced regularly by a professional pest company. Should you see evidence of wildlife inside the cottage, alert our team right away so we can send the pest company out. Keep the doors shut and store your food properly to keep the wildlife from coming indoors.
